A centrally located, cosy two-bedroom cottage in a quiet street, retaining some mid-century charm but with all the conveniences of modern living. Perfect for those visiting for work, ideal for single travellers, two couples, a small family or a few friends meeting for a mini-break.brbrA 5 minute walk to Dean Street where you'll find a diverse range of restaurants, breakfast cafes, pubs and wine bars. Ideally situated within 500 metres of the beautiful Botanic Gardens.brThe spacebrThe cottage is very private with a high front fence and gate. There are lovely spots on the front porch and in the garden where you can enjoy your morning coffee or unwind with a beer or wine after a busy day of tourist activities or work. We have recently refurbished the home and would love to share it with happy travellers.brbrWe provide a welcome basket with some breakfast basics for your arrival, including eggs from our hens (when laying), milk, cereal, muesli bars and a few coffee pods for the Nespresso.brbrThe driveway and carport are not wide so are suitable for sedans and smaller vehicles. Larger vehicles including 4WDs will fit through the gates but it will be tight when opening doors so you may want to park in front of the house. It is a quiet street with ample parking.brGuest accessbrGuests have full access to the entire home, front and back yards, carport and driveway areas. Wyse Cottage was built at the turn of the 20th century and has the charm of that era combined with the comforts we expect today.brbrThe cottage is centrally located which means there will be traffic noise.brbrIt’s an easy 550 metre walk to the Botanic Gardens and many popular cafes for breakfast or lunch. You also have a great choice of restaurants in the CBD and if you travel for half an hour or so, you will find excellent cafes, wineries and restaurants in Rutherglen, Wahgunyah & Beechworth.brbrWe welcome up to two pets and ask that they have their own bedding, stay off the beds and furniture and that you clean up after them. Please note that we have courtyard style gardens both front and rear, not lawn areas.brbrThe spacebrPrivate, stand alone, updated two bedroom house with secure undercover parking and two living areas.brbrThis is a period cottage with a heritage overlay, not a modern, contemporary house, so if you’re looking for large scale rooms or a big yard please choose an alternate property.brbrThe kitchen has all the essentials including a Nespresso machine and dishwasher and the bathroom includes a free-standing bath and giant shower head. There is a separate toilet room and a laundry with washing machine.brbrOf course we have NBN and both TVs have Chromecast.brbrIn summer the evaporative air-conditioning keeps you cool while in winter the house is very cosy with the ducted heating.brGuest accessbrGuests have private access to the property. This historical home features high ornate ceilings, three roomy bedrooms with period furnishings, two functional bathrooms and quite possibly the most convenient and centrally positioned location in all of Albury.brThere is a master suite with queen bed and adjacent bathroom, a second queen bedroom and a third bedroom with double and single beds. The lounge area is spacious with seating for everyone, a smart TV and gorgeous leadlight windows. There is a dining room, a functional, well equipped kitchen and a seating area at the back of the house with another TV.There is a lovely feel from yesteryear- large book shelves with encyclopedias, antique prints and ornaments, and quality furniture pieces that they just don't make anymore! But don't worry as the house has all the comforts of a modern Airbnb with excellent heating and cooling, comfy beds, high speed wifi and new appliances.The property also features lovely gardens and an outdoor sitting area which enjoys the morning sunshine.
