If you are a golfer, the Angel Fire golf course is only a short 1.5 mile drive down the road. brbrOur Condo makes an incredible get away from the hassles of everyday life. It comes complete with all the normal essentials you would expect to find at home. We have a fully equipped kitchen with a microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffee pot, George Foreman grill, electric griddle, crock pots, cookware, dishes, etc. We stock towels and fresh linens for each use, as well as common amenities you would normally find in your home, such as an iron and ironing board, hair dryer, and washer and dryer. All three bedrooms have televisions with cable tv. There is a lockable closet on the deck for outdoor equipment storage. Our covered deck includes a table and chairs and allows for outdoor relaxing as well as enjoying a meal outside.brbrThere are two downstairs bedrooms, both having queen beds. Attached two story house in a quiet rural area situated between forest and meadow which teems with birds and hawks, and is visited by deer and elk and the occasional coyote. The Black Lake area is a designated black sky area. The stars are amazing.brbrI use natural cleaning products and garden with native plants. My newest garden space is for Butterflies and bees and other pollinators. I encourage visits from a variety of birds. Which use the 40 foot spruce as their own apartment. A pair of red tail hawks hunt in the back pasture. You can catch them on camera while having coffee on the back porch. In the summer months hummingbirds take advantage of wildflowers and flower gardens. I often see the same hummers return in mid April. I know they have been here before because they know where the feeders have hung if I am late getting them out.brbrCentrally located south of the Moreno Valley in Black Lake area at the foot of the Sangre de Cristo mountains. It is an easy drive to a Angel Fire for groceries. As a photographer of western landscapes I take advantage of a variety of interesting day trips. Or just stay and spend the day watching birds and the sunrises and sunsets. brbrCharley's Hideaway main floor is an open plan with a large living room and kitchen with ample equipment and counter space to prepare your favorite meals. for yourself and your family. The living room has a woodburning stove for winter nights and story telling. It also has many books on the area and its geology as well as birds, wildflowers, and mushrooms. And for rainy days there are games and streaming TV.brbrAnd if you want to sleep in and skip the sunrise there are blackout curtains in the upstairs bedrooms.
