The cabin is centered in a wilderness playground for elk and deer with an expansive, incredible view of the ski valley and forest of trees surrounding it. The property backs up to the Carson National Forest that is accessible for hiking, biking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. brbrAlthough Cochiti Cabin sits snugly in a forest of evergreens and aspens, it is easy to access from the main highway. It is located 2.5 miles, about 5 minutes, from the base of the mountain, about 5 minutes to the Angel Fire Country Club and Golf Course and less than 10 minutes to Monte Verde Lake. The upper floor houses the master bedroom with a king bed, bath, and a loft with a perfect reading nook, queen futon, and desk if work beckons. Be at the lift in less than 5 minutes. You can walk straight there or hop on the shuttle- pick up/drop off right outside your door every 15 minutes. Don’t forget Angel Fire is the only resort in NM that offers weekend night skiing 4pm-7pm! brbrTHE KIDDO ROOM! Bring ALL the kids and let them play in the tree house style loft upstairs SEPARATE from mom and dad's room. You’ll find a plethora of toys, Twin over queen bunk bed, independent TV, and a private kiddo or adult bathroom with a shower/tub (water toys included)! The upstairs loft can be secured with baby gates which are permanently installed on the staircases for parent satisfaction…and stress relief. Loft upstairs does not have a privacy door. Stairs are located inside the unit, not safe for children under 5.
