Imbued with a warm, mellow atmosphere, the expertly designed, beautifully appointed interiors offer serene living and a sensation of complete tranquillity.brbrInside: accommodation at Enyalos is spread over a main house and a guesthouse, both of which are on one level.brbrThe main house is laid out in the shape of a U oriented directly towards the sea. The communal areas sit at the base of the U and the bedrooms extend along the sides. brbrThe main house entrance leads into a generously proportioned open-concept communal space that has been finished to exacting standards. To the right is a sleek, well-equipped contemporary kitchen with matt black cabinetry, and an adjacent guest WC. In the centre is a dining table, and to the left is the living area, furnished with a pair of designer sofas and featuring a stylish fireplace flanked by built-in bookcases. brbrThe design elements of this space are many, and their combined effect is ravishing: dark hard-wood flooring runs horizontally to create the illusion of widened space; a skylight above the kitchen (reprised in other rooms), together with subtle integrated lighting, infuses the ambience with a soft, harmonious aura; and a gentle earthy palette adds to the overall sensation of tranquillity. The masterstroke, however, is the wall of sliding pocket windows that looks out over the pool to the sea. My place is good for one or two couples or families with or without kids. Reserved parking for guests is included.brbrPrivacy, peace & quiet are the main characteristics of this traditional home. The house is ideal for couples, families or larger groups of friends - not a surprise because it used to fit the whole family in the old days. Six people can sleep in regular beds -2 double and 2 singles (see photos), but the built in Sofa can be prepared to sleep up to another 2 if needed. brOne highlight of the house is the double outside area where people can spend time enjoying the view in peace, away from the road of Imerovigli, and closer to the sea and the volcano across. In 2023 a Jacuzzi has been installed in the front outside area. Also, bathrooms have been considerably enlarged and the kitchen area has been redone.brbrYou need to follow a short traditional path down to the house, from the top of Imerovigli, but it will reward you in that you are really away from the crowd even in the most busy months of the island.
