The adult only Awel Y Mor is located in a small and quiet area of the historic and beautiful village of Aberffraw on the isle of Anglesey. A recently refurbished property with all new furnishings, Snowdonia views and a private garden. The 3 bedrooms consist of one double, one single and a King with all boasting 1000 pocket sprung Tencel mattresses. Spacious living room with a 48 smart TV. A lighted patio area for you to sit and relax in the day, evening or night. Turn right at the property gate and you are just short walk away from the amazing sand dunes and beach. Turn left and enjoy the coastal path around the scenic coastline taking you to the historic St Cwyfan’s Church (The ‘church in the sea’) as it is known. The Crown is a welcoming local pub which has a great menu if you wish to eat out. brWe are just a short drive away from Rhosneigr where you will find more shops, pubs, restaurants and water sports. brbr2 Small well behaved (8Kg) or 1 medium sized dogs (14Kg) (sorry, no puppies) are welcome at the Awel Y Mor. We kindly ask that you please keep dogs out of the bedrooms. But we know they are part of your family as Twm (our jack russel) is for us, so they may sit with you on the living room furniture if you kindly use the throws/covers provided. Ty Cadwgan (Cadwgan-a Welsh name meaning battle glory) is all calm. A bright, spacious living room with a big velvet sofa at one end, a dining room in the middle and a well-thought-out kitchen at the other – everything a serious cook could need is here. Garden views and green surround you. Glazed sliding doors frame the views and a wood-burner will keep you toasty on days when the weather is wild outside. Bedroom colours are restful – there's a king room in pastel pinks and a bunk room for the adventure seekers. There is one bathroom, but it is perfect formed.brbrIt's tempting to stay put but there's plenty to do. It's paradise here for outdoor lovers: walking and cycling routes leave from your door. Through sand dunes a thrilling 20-minute walk takes you to Aberffraw for Llys Llewellyn Café bar and breakfast and Y Goron (The Crown) pub for supper – both are excellent for locally sourced supplies and food. Aberffraw beach is a long sandy dream of a day out. Or head a five minute drive to Rhosneigr for a thriving water sports centre with many pubs and places to eat. The Sandy Mount House and Mojos and are favourites. Janet Bell has a gallery to gaze at locally created art and interior delights, or Seapig offers bespoke jewellery from sea glass from beaches locally to planet-friendly artisan items. Wind surfing, paddleboarding surfing or just a swim and a beach comb is easy on the sandy beaches at this beachy village.brbrBack at the ranch, the garden is uncultivated and vast, with wildflowers and bushes full of birdsong. You're a few fields from the sandy coastline and right next to Trac Mon (Anglesey Circuit). For those that don't like noise, this is not the house for you as at certain times of the day, loud track noise will travel to the gardens. A bonus is that 4 adults have free access to race days and under 16-year old children staying can go in free.brbrCome together for homely family suppers in the very large kitchen, or stoke up the BBQ and gather under the star-studded skies serenaded by the odd sheep bleat. The old dairy is a vast sitting room with a dining area for more grand occasions and a great hub. Pick your own grapes in the sun room!brbrThere are three wood stoves for when the weather isn't playing nice for pre-dinner drinks by crackling fires. Sleep off long walks in hugely comfortable bedrooms with views through the trees. There are two sparkling family bathrooms - one with a drenching shower and a cast iron style bath (for soaks and bubbles of both varieties). The other with just the bath and utter peace.brbrOutdoors is a very basic games room with a ping pong table and fridge for the beers! Spill out to gardens that call out to be explored - in spring, a blanket of bluebells and snowdrops in the winter.
