Picture yourself waking up to the sound of birds outside your window, enjoying a cup of coffee, or simply immersing yourself in the serenity of nature. Naturave Home was once our own home, and we’ve poured our love into every detail. We hope you’ll feel that warmth and make it your home away from home. Our tiny house blends comfort and nature in a cozy, unique design. Outdoors, you'll find a sheltered living and dining area surrounded by a private garden, perfect for relaxation. Inside, you’ll be greeted by a cozy living room and breakfast nook. To the left, you'll find a fully equipped kitchen and the bathroom. To the right, the main bedroom features a bench with a mountain view, ideal for resting and enjoying the scenery. Next to the bathroom, a ladder leads to a secondary bed in a loft, with space for up to two additional guests, plus a balcony offering stunning mountain views. The entire house is surrounded by views of the forest and mountains. We designed and built this space ourselves, and it was our home for three years. Every corner is filled with love, carefully crafted to offer you a special stay. Guests have exclusive access to Naturave Home, including the tiny house, its private garden, and the covered outdoor seating area. You are also welcome to use the parking area and the forest trail nearby. To ensure privacy and respect for other guests, we kindly ask that you do not go down the lower trail, as it leads to other cabins. Additionally, there is a gated staircase leading to the laundry area, which is not accessible to guests. Within Naturave Home, the space is completely private for you to enjoy. You can message us through the Airbnb chat, and we usually respond within 5 minutes. You can also call us at the number provided. If you need us on-site, we can arrive in approximately 20 minutes. Alternatively, we can ask the Naturave staff or our trusted friends or neighbors to assist you within 10 minutes or less. Naturave is located in Ira Rosa Neighborhood. An organized and secure community. In it there are cabins and homes. We have private parking on the property. We recommend renting a vehicle for greater convenience when getting around. However, taxis and shuttles to the main attractions are also a great alternative. There are two other cabins on the property, so you may see other guests or Naturave staff on the trail and surroundings.

Cabin

Cloud Forest Sunset Cabin, Monteverde Costa Rica

Monteverde, Provincia de Puntarenas, Costa Rica

The Sunset Cabin is located on 40 acres of private property adjacent to the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve and contiguous with more than 110,000 acres of protected forest. Well removed from the bustle of Monteverde, Cerro Plano and Santa Elena, you can expect a peaceful experience here—going to sleep to the sounds of katydids, cicadas, and frogs and waking up to chorusing black-bellied wood quail, duetting gray-breasted wood wrens and the likelihood of seeing coatis, agoutis, and a diversity of animal life. brbrThe Cabin brThe cabin is ideal for people who appreciate the natural world and simple living. It’s rustic, but includes all the basic amenities so that you can have an authentic experience in the Costa Rican cloud forest. brbrThe main cabin includes the kitchen, dining and living area on the first floor and a sleeping loft with one full bed upstairs. In the rear of the cabin, a new addition (2018) includes a large bathroom, another bedroom with a twin bed and a second floor sleeping area with two beds (1 full, 1 twin). The two sets of stairs to the second floor are steep and may not be suitable for young children or older adults. The cabin can comfortably accommodate six people (surcharge of $15 for more than four adults). WiFi is available, but slow. brbrA porch extends along the front and north side of the cabin, providing spectacular views into the canopy, the Gulf of Nicoya and views to the northwest. Agoutis and coatimundis are often seen on the front lawn, which is steep, and not suitable for croquet. brbrThe cabin is located at the end a steep 600-foot driveway, making 4WD or All-Wheel Drive important. During extremely wet conditions, our property manager can assist you and help get you and your belongings to the cabin.brbrProperty brThere are three houses on the 40 acres, none of which is in view of the others and providing a very private experience. brbrOur land includes a mix of primary cloud forest and open clearings, which offer excellent opportunities viewing of wildlife. White-faced monkeys, coatis, and agoutis are all commonly seen on our land, and several cloud forest specialists, including resplendent quetzals and black guans, are also frequently seen near the cabin. Less common species, like brocket deer, ocelots, and margays, are occasionally spotted.brbrTrails brA network of maintained trails can be accessed near the cabin. The trail system is open only to guests of the three houses and offers the opportunity to experience the cloud forest on your own. brbrSpecial OptionsbrA Home Cooked MealbrIf you’d like a home-cooked Costa Rican meal, our friend Lillian is a talented cook and can prepare a meal before you arrive (or during your stay). She can also deliver groceries upon request. brbrArranging A Private Naturalist GuidebrWhile you’re in Monteverde, we’d encourage you to explore the forest with a naturalist guide. If you're interested in hiring a private naturalist guide or taking a tour, please be in touch with us and we can make arrangements.brbrThings to Do NearbybrThe entrance to the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve is just a fifteen minute walk from the cabin, and several other Monteverde wildlife reserves are within a half hour drive. brbrSeveral restaurants, a small grocery store and a few gift/coffee shops are located within two miles, and many more are available in nearby Santa Elena. If you do not have your own rental car, taxis are available at any time.
