Great communication from host before and during stay, answering questions and addressing requests. Property was pristine and just as photos show. Water was HOT, as long as you followed the instructions suggested by the host. Simple breakfast items eggs, oatmeal, coffee and a few refrigerated items made for quick breakfasts before exploring. Location is just out of town and far enough off the road in the forest to deaden any sound. Would 100% consider renting a few of the other units if we visit again with more family.

Excellent location with a knowledgeable host. The helpful host went above and beyond—I asked about a hiking guide for myself and my partner and he assisted with communicating and arranging our meet up the following morning. More importantly, the hiking guide was the best we have ever had. It really made our stay stellar. The beds on upper level are very comfortable and the kitchen was nice to prepare some guacamole for snacks. The only shower, which is on the upper level, was warm and clean. The whole property was actually very clean and easy to find and access. The host was very responsive to all messages. We enjoyed the jungle view to wake up to in the morning and the lovely sounds of so many bird species. Thank you, Miguel!

I stayed with my family in this property from Monday to Friday. I love that is surrounded by trees and is so quiet at night. I also loved the location; it was very close to the town and lots of things to do. Being in the clouds forest we had lots of condensation and sometimes the floor would get wet, nothing a mop wouldn’t fix if you don’t mind. If you plan to cook big meals, they only have a rice cooker and an electric skillet and no stove. We didn’t have an issue with that. Overall we had a great time at this place. We got to see lots of butterflies and birds and an armadillo.

Lovely setting but on site owner(?) spoke no English only a child did, so difficult to check in and get things settled. No A/c or heat and it was at first hot then very cold later. Hard to sleep in the cold. No screens on windows or sliding doors. Futons to sleep on were dirty and smelly. Kitchen had very few items to make even coffee and breakfast. Would not recommend. Pretty far from Monteverde Biological Park. You can do better.
