The surrounding area is dominated by National Trust headlands and dramatic coastal cliff walks with the South West Coastal Path right on your doorstep. brbrGuests also have easy access to the stunning communal sea terrace of the Compass Point complex which has panoramic sea views towards St Ives harbour in one direction and Godrevy Lighthouse in the other and this allows outside dining and sunbathing. The careful balance between character, luxury and contemporary in this spacious apartment sets it apart. brbrIf your planning on meeting friends or family whilst on holiday you'll be perfectly placed to welcome people for a day time visit. With an additional WC, large dining space and plenty of seating overall, it's an easy place to pass the time. brbrThe accommodation comprises of an entrance hall leading to all rooms. brbrThe kitchen dining area has everything you'll need to cook up a storm. A double oven, dishwasher, coffee machines and plenty of seating. The breakfast bar is really handy and the centre unit keeps cooking sociable. brbrHead on into the living room and you'll find interesting artwork adorning the walls, an ornamental fireplace, large windows and a TV. brbrAt the end of the hall are two spacious king size bedrooms with ensuite shower rooms. You'll also have a separate visitors WC. brbrOutside you have allocated car parking for one car and a rear patio space with table and chairs outside in the warmer months. brbrOne of the great things about this property is your close proximity to restaurants, bars, shops and beaches.brbrAll of itbrbrWe are local and know the area really really well and love to help our guests find the best places to eat, explore and visit. However, we recognise that most people holiday for a break and we aim to give our guests privacy. We might knock on to check all is ok but we're not there to hassle, pester or interfere. brbrOn the other hand if you need us, we're here to help!brbrSt Ives is a really special town. With a mixed history, it's an ancient fishing port that has developed into an artistic escape for many and is now one of the UK's best know holiday towns. brbrYou'll find golden sand beaches with crystal clear waters, surfers love Porthmeor and there are at least 3 other beaches in a 15-20 minute walk from your front door. brbrTate St Ives and Barbara Hepworth Sculpture Museum and Gardens are well worth a wander, both are in walking distance to. brbrThe food scene is excellent and you can expect more than just standard grub. From family friendly to the likes of Porthminster Beach Cafe which serve excellent food in a laid back beach side environment.brbrThe Elms is close to St Ives train and bus stations (5-8 minute walks) but as it has parking a car is also really convenient to. We find many of our guests don't use their car during their stay as St Ives has lots to do, if this might be you, do consider the train. brbrWe aren't on the notorious St Ives one way system so accessing the car park for The Elms is a bit easier than in other places in St Ives. brbrEverything in town is in walking distance. brbrThere are some good local bus routes and we highly recommend exploring the renowned South West Coast Path.brbrAs 3 The Elms is an apartment there is a floor above you and there is a possibility you will hear sounds from the property above. We always ask our guests to be respectful of their neighbours.

Beautifully finished and architecturally fascinating, Old Saltings is St Ives heritage at its best. Set on the beachfront of Porthmeor, you`ll be in the perfect spot for sunset. Just moments from galleries and restaurants it is arguably one of the most interesting properties in the town. brbrEnter through the front door (which is a piece of history in itself) and you`ll be greeted by a feeling of warmth and the space that opens out within...brbrOld Saltings is a wonderfully spacious apartment on one floor, sleeping upto 6 guests. brbrAs you enter you`ll be greeted by a large entrance hall with space for outdoor gear. Head on in and the wood panelled hallway leads you to the bedrooms, bathrooms and the living space ahead. brbrThe master bedroom has courtyard views, king bed and an ensuite shower room with mirrored ceiling. brbrThere is a further king bedroom with slipway views. The bunk room is a really fun layout consisting of two single beds going toe to toe. The master bathroom is just down the hall... brbrStep into the living area and you`ll be amazed by the space whilst being drawn to the window seat to gaze at the sea views. brbrIt`s a very sociable set up in here, with a dining table for 8, comfortable L shaped sofa, the window seat (our favourite perch) and a writing desk if needed. brbrThe kitchen is very well equipped with high quality appliances and stainless steel work tops. brThe pantry has some basic ingredients and items such as a food processor. brbrOff the living area, is a glass panelled studio space, ideal for digital nomads or getting creative with the arts materials.brbrTravellers are welcome to use the space and to treat it as home. We have some locked cupboards in the hallway and one in the living/kitchen area.brbrSaltings is managed by Sam and Lizzy along with their wonderful housekeeping team. brbrLizzy will aim to either meet you at the property and if the timings aren`t appropriate we use a key safe system so you can access easily and we`ll be in touch after arrival to ensure everything is as you expected.brbrYou`ll receive a digital `guidebook` for access, instructions and recommendations. brbrLizzy and Sam know West Cornwall really well. We`d love to share some of our favourite haunts, things to do and places to go, just ask away.brbrDownalong in St Ives has been the heart of the community for years, it`s the old part of town where you will find a myriad of streets and old fisherman`s cottages. There is a real community spirit, it does get busy in the peak weeks but it`s location being so close the shops, restaurants and beaches make it attractive to visitors. brbrPorthmeor Beach is one of St Ives most famous with the Tate overlooking it and a long history of surfing too. There are some other great beaches within a few minutes walk such as Porthgwidden, Bamaluz and the harbour. Porthminster is a 10-15 minute walk and Carbis Bay 45 minutes.brbrParking in this part of town can be hard and we do not supply a parking space. There is a public car park approximately 100m away which is pay and display, it can be busy in peak weeks so some patience might be required. brbrWe may be able to offer some contacts for private parking which are available after booking. brbrIf you come by train you can let others worry about the narrow streets whilst you enjoy everything St Ives has to offer. The train journey down is beautiful and is a popular way to make it to St Ives. We are a 10 minute walk to St Ives station although many with luggage will opt for a taxi to take them to our property. The bus service is good and is about 10 minutes away.brbrOld Saltings is a very old building, it did literally used to be used for salting pilchards. By the nature of this it isn`t completely soundproofed and we ask our neighbours and our guests to be considerate of those below. On this basis you should expect to hear a little noise from above and to be wary of disturbing our neighbours below.

Or head to your rear facing balcony/terrace which enjoys roof top views over towards Porthminster, the perfect place for a morning coffee in the sun. brbrSleeping up to four with the bedroom on the mezzanine and downstairs is a pull out double sofa bed.brbrAccessed via a courtyard, with well kept planters and Barbara Hepworth sculptures, there are external staircases to the front door on the third floor. brbrAs you enter 24 Piazza you'll be taken aback by the large picture windows with the stunning sea views beyond. brbrOpen, light and airy, this is a very special one bedroom apartment. brbrYou'll be able to enjoy a well equipped kitchen, bathroom with over head shower, comfortable L shaped sofa and a work from home space if you need it. brbrUpstairs is a comfortable superking bed (which can be made as a twin by request when booking). You can access the rear balcony via sliding doors. brbrThe L shaped sofa downstairs can be turned into a double bed, again just ask when booking if you need this! brbrUnusually in this part of St Ives, 24 Piazza has a car parking space included. Parking is accessed via a steep slope down to the underground garage which may not be suitable for some vehicles, please allow room for your car doors to open when looking at the space dimensions as there is a wall either side, size approx. 15ft deep x 7ft wide x 6ft 6ins high.brbrThe property is set up for guest use and all but one cupboard is accessible for guest use.brbrWe're a small local holiday letting company called Ocean Holidays Cornwall. We like to keep in touch with our guests and will happily offer lots of advice and guidance on things to enjoy in our local area. brbrWe tend to leave our guests to it, but if we're passing we might knock on to see how you're getting on.brbrArguably one of the best locations to be in St Ives. And as for St Ives Well it's a hub of culture, art, watersports, stunning scenery and a great selection of shops, restaurants and pubs. brbrYou'll be located above Porthmeor beach which is home to Tate, St Ives and is the favourite spot for surfing and sunsets in St Ives. brbrNearby are tiny streets of old fishermans houses, a local shop just across the road and the harbour is a 3-5 minute walk. brbrIt's a friendly place and we often find in the peak weeks the Piazza building to be a bit of an oasis of calm compared the hustle and bustle of the main streets.brbrSt Ives is an old fishing town, some of the roads are pretty narrow. brbrIf you have the option to arrive by train (the station is a 10-15 minute walk or 5 minute taxi), you'll enjoy a pretty stunning bit of railway line and can there is so much to do in St Ives you probably won't miss your car. brbrIf arriving by car you will need to navigate the one way system (and parking space) but where this property is you can avoid most narrow streets. brbrSt Ives has a bus station with some decent local routes such as the open top bus towards Lands End. brbrThere is the option to hire e bikes (with the hills they're great) from a local company or two.brbrPlease do check car parking dimensions if your planning on using it! brbrThe mezzanine handrail is lower than a modern building (Piazza was built in the 60s), please take great care here, particularly with children. brbrThere is no freezer in the property.

Porthkidney Sands is a mile away and is a fantastic stretch of beach. brbrThe Oystercatcher is a four bedroom home with accommodation spread over 3 floors, outside space and parking for two cars.brbrThe ground floor has a cosy living room, with deep comfortable sofas, a gas fire and a TV. The kitchen is well equipped and the handy utility adjacent utility room means you can keep the laundry out of the way. The dining room is a great space when you wish to have a sit down meal together.brbrOutside, you'll be able to enjoy the sun as it hits the patio. These include a top floor bedroom, the garage and a hallway cupboard. These are not included in the descriptions.brbrWe're a small and friendly local team managing holiday lets in West Cornwall. We're family run and know the area really well. We'll happily offer personal recommendations to.brbrThe Oystercatcher is really well located for exploring everything West Cornwall has to offer. You can even ditch the car for a lot of it. brbrThere is a train station close by making getting to St Ives easy, also Carbis Bay and even Penzance. There is also a regular bus service through Lelant to St Ives, Hayle, Penzance and beyond. brbrIf travelling by car you're not far (but far enough away) from the A30 which makes getting around Cornwall much easier.

The harbour is a 5 minute walk and the beaches 5-10 minutes. brSt Ives itself is pretty awesome when it comes to food, beaches, galleries and shops. Host, St Ives is pretty close and is a great spot for cocktails and woodfired food. brYou'll have a selection of white sand beaches to stroll to, Porthminster, the closest is often the perfect place for a wild swim. brSt Ives Bakery do excellent bread and cakes, we highly rate Harvey Brothers for Cornish Pasty's and The Makers for cakes.brbrAccess by car to this property is surprisingly easy by car and you can avoid the main pinch points of St Ives when approaching. brThe car parking space is fine for most cars, larger vehicles such as large SUVs and vans will require more careful parking to not obstruct our neighbours. brbrIf you decide to arrive by train you'll be greeted to St Ives along the stunning branch line, we're a 3-5 minute walk from the station. brbrEverything in St Ives is in walking distance and there are some good bus routes to places like Penzance and in summer the open top around West Cornwall. brbrA car is not essential here.

22 Piazza has a modern interior and benefits from unobstructed views over Porthmeor beach, two balconies, a convenient location near town and a light spacious open plan living area. brbrThe South facing balcony has views towards the harbour and Porthminster and the front facing balcony, straight out to sea. brbrThe bedroom can be made as a superking or a twin, you decide. We'll provide a linen and towels, a few treats on arrival.brbr22 Piazza is an apartment on two levels with lots of light, large windows and superb views. brbrThe open plan living area has a well equipped kitchen, dining area and sofa and chair overlooking the beach towards the TV/Apple TV. brbrFrom here you can access the front facing balcony that has a table and chairs. brbrThe bathroom is also on this floor and benefits from a bath, shower, toilet and basin. brbrUpstairs is the bedroom with storage, superking bed (that can be made as a twin on request) and a rear facing balcony overlooking the roof tops towards the harbour and Porthminster beach. There is a sink on this floor too.brbrThere is a small car parking space in the underground car park onsite that you are welcome to use if your car fits.brbrThe property is located on the top floor of the infamous Piazza block adjacent to Porthmeor Beach. Car hire is available and there is also public transport should you wish to venture outside of this lovely seaside town. The nearest long stay car parks are Barnoon (5 minute walk) and The Island, a 3 minute walk.brbrThe property is best suited to two but we do welcome a 3rd guest aged under 1 or over 7. The age restriction is in place due to the steep internal staircase.brUnfortunately we are unable to accept pets and it is no smoking inside the property.
