A second entrance accessed via an alleyway off Fore Street is especially useful after beach days. Beside this entrance is a handy outdoor shower with hot water — perfect for rinsing sandy feet, wetsuits and salty hair before heading inside. There is also a small outdoor drying area for wetsuits and beachwear.

Features include:

Steps from a great bakery and the water in both directions. Might be a little tricky for tots and elderly to navigate the stairs, but comfortable overall.

The property was a good standard in a good location. The biggest problem we faced was with the ‘nearby car parking’ quoted on the listing, in reality the car parking was at least 1/2 mile from the cottage which created severe problems when arriving in heavy rain with my wife and I with two grandchildren in tow complete with cases of luggage + food for a week + children’s toys etc. if we had known how far the car parking was away from this cottage we would not have booked it.

Comfortable house in good location. Suited us well, but lots of stairs would make it tricky for toddlers. Well equipped and attractive modern interior.

Rose cottage envelops you in a very warm embrace. It feels like a home from home, we automatically felt at home from when we walked in the front door. The cottage is furnished very well, including a very well equipped kitchen and local art on the walls. The location is great for exploring St Ives with close proximity to the beach, Tate and Barbara Hepworth. Would recommend dropping / loading luggage by the Sloop or Bumble Tea Rooms before parking in the allocated parking spot on Beach road. Sam and her team were extremely diligent and helpful both during the booking process, pre visit comms and during the stay. Thank you to owners Kerstin and Andrew for sharing your lovely home - it’s a little gem??
