There are many art and music festivals on throughout the year. Hove is famous for its colourful beach huts & Regency buildings. brbrBrighton Pier, the Iconic West Pier, the Royal Pavilion and the brand new British Airways i360 are just some of the major attractions. My quirky little cottage in Central Brighton is the ideal place for your stay in the heart of the famous, bohemian North Laine quarter, repeatedly voted as one of the coolest neighbourhoods in the world. It is 8 min to the beach and only 5 min to the Train Station. Brighton Pavilion, Shops, Vintage clothes outlets, Bars, Pubs , Leisure Complex with indoor pool, Restaurants ... all on your door step.brbrOn the ground floor , you'll find an open-plan kitchen/ lounge. The sofa bed can sleep 2 persons, but PLEASE NOTE is not suitable for very tall or heavy guests. brThe kitchen leads to a small patio with a bench, table and chairs for outside dining.brbrIn the first- floor bedroom, you will find a double bed with orthopedic mattress, a wardrobe, table, bedside table and comfy wicker chair. Next door is the bathroom. The Victorian-style free-standing bath has a shower attachment and curtain.brbrMy house is only a 5 minute walk from Brighton Station. You can find bus stops to other parts of Brighton, Beachy Head and Gatwick Airport within a 5 -min walk from the property. Brighton is 50 min by train from London Victoria, and 30 minutes from Gatwick Airport.brbrIMPORTANT NOTES : My cottage was built for local fishermen in the 1830s- please do not expect huge spaces or ultra-modern fittings as this would not fit in with this historic dwelling. Most of the furnishing were collected on my extensive travels or sourced from local vintage shops. brbrInitial breakfast beverages are included: Tea/ Coffee'/MilkbrbrbrPlease note there is no free parking anywhere in Central Brighton. However, I can provide you with information on nearby parking opportunities which are less expensive than the official car parks.brbrThere may be noise from passersby, restaurant air vents and morning refuge collection; however, my cottage is double-glazed so that should keep the noise out. If you are a light sleeper, then maybe a Central Brighton location is not advisable.brbrRest assured that we have enhanced cleaning measures in place due to Covid-19. brbrVERY IMPORTANT: ABSOLUTELY NO PARTIES ALLOWED! There are two reception rooms, a living room with flat screen television, DVD player, Ipod dock and large leather sofas. A spacious, 3 bedroom house sleeping up to 6 adults close to the centre of Brighton. brLocated in Hanover, at the top of a hill in a friendly, desirable part of town:br15 minutes walk from Brighton Pier and the town centre.Our house can sleep up to 6 people with 1 large loft double bedroom with a superking size bed, with ensuite shower room, 1 large double bedroom with 2 single beds, one small single room with a small double bed (120cm) and and a double sofa-bed in the living room.brbrDownstairs we have a large living room with oak flooring and a spacious, fully-equipped, modern kitchen, with a cute little garden out the back. Upstairs is a large family bathroom with shower and bath, and a separate toilet. In the loft there is a large double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom with a toilet, small sink and a shower - please note there is no door to that bathroom.brbrOur guests are welcome to make use of the facilities: free Wifi, TV with Netflix, washing machine, and the dishwasher.brHanover is a beautiful, friendly neighborhood and just across the street is one of Brighton’s best pubs, the ‘Setting Sun’, which has spectacular views of the sea.brbrWe are an active family with 2 daughters, loving our life in Brighton. The house has been our project for the last 10 years. We have been renovating it to our taste and have put all our love into it. brIt is warm and comfortable. The kitchen is the heart of the house. It is perfect for families and friends wanting to spend time enjoying all that bohemian Brighton has to offer, but please remember this is not a party house.brPlease note that the house is not baby proofed. My-House is a superb house for a hen or stag groups coming to Brighton for the weekend. It really has a wow factor in terms of interior design. In some of the rooms and some of the bathrooms there is open brick and the whole effect is very much of a high end boutique hotel style. The kitchen/dining room is one of our favourite rooms. A large practical space with high end units, great vintage lights, beautiful design and there’s also a big dining area with tables and benches in an alcove which is big enough to seat up to 22.brEntrancebrThe entrance is at the back of the property and is up a few steps. You first go through a secure entry gate and then up the steps to the door. This leads into the large kitchen/ diner.brKitchen/Dining roombrBeautifully designed and with everything you need to self cater. Very practical, very stylish. An alcove area has dining for your group with large dining table and benches. There is a also a breakfast bar.brThe Kitchen includes a large fridge, oven and dishwasher.brThere is not a washing machine at the property but there is a launderette just opposite the house in Preston street that does service washes if there is anything you need laundered.brThere is also a small shower room and toilet on this floor.brLiving RoombrOn the first floor is the stunning living room. Plenty of space, beautifully styled. One sofa beds and a large LCD tv. The house has free WiFi too.brBedroomsbrNext to the living room is a bedroom with two sets of bunk beds and a dressing table area.brUpstairs to the other bedrooms and there is one that has two triple bunk beds (double underneath, single on top), one bunk bed and one single bed. Plus 3 pull outs This has an en suite shower room.brOn the top floor is another very large bedroom with five single beds and again another en suite shower room.brAll the bedrooms have dressing table areas and places to hang your clothes. Hours of people watching fun!brbrPerfectly and centrally located on the sea front, in the middle of the Brighton and Hove beach. On the doorstep to all that Brighton & Hove has to offer, fantastic restaurants, bars, shopping, theatres. Therefore no need for longs walks or taxis to get around town!The station is only 20 mins walk or 5 mins in a taxi. brbrEntering Embassy Court you will use the electronic key fob to access the building, providing complete security. You will take the lift to the top floor. Entering the apartment you will see the long corridor leading down to the sitting room. On your left is the compact shower room, with a double sized rain shower. Just what you need to get you ready for the excitement ahead. On your right is the spacious bedroom, with a wall of windows, affording panoramic views, not only of the seafront but also over the city, with its sparkling lights at night. I hope you get the wow effect as we do, it really is a great view especially when the sun is out to play. Luxurious bedding tops a luxury, top end, handmade mattress to give you a great nights sleep. A dressing area with wardrobes, giving plenty of space, for whatever you may bring. For those having to combine some work with their pleasure, this area is suitable to work from, with a desk and SuperFast Wi-Fi internet, although the view down the seafront can be a little distracting. Continuing down the hall, the next room on your left, is the stylish kitchen, yes it's not palatial but perfectly suited to create a feast for four, with wood surfaces, white high gloss cabinets and amazing views west over Hove seafront. All the equipment you need is provided and for coffee lovers the Nespresso coffee machine is a delight! Finally you reach the sitting room, giving ample space for dining, relaxing, having fun! The sofa converts to a comfortable king size bed, even when out, it leaves plenty of room to move around. Doors open out onto the long sun terrace, and the views. It spans the full length of the apartment, it really is special - but don't let this stop you from exploring Brighton and Hove.brbrThe apartment is directly on the seafront, cross the road and you are on the beach, 2 minutes walk will take you to outdoor table tennis, excellent restaurants of different price bands, seafront children's play area with its sizeable splash pool, where they can play safely, 24hr convenience shops, cafes and several pubs, yes within 2 minutes, many within 1 minute. A full sized Waitrose and smaller Co-op supermarkets are within 3 mins walk. brbrBrighton is commonly known as London-by-the-Sea. Situated on the South coast of England, this bohemian resort town is so diverse. It came into fashion around 1780 when a local doctor, Richard Russell, prescribed sea bathing as a health tonic. With the Prince of Wales as his patron, London society quickly headed to the coast. Architect John Nash designed the Royal Pavilion for the Prince who later became King George IV. This fabulously ornate building has a wonderful Oriental influence with its onion-shaped towers. Later in the early 30's, Wells Coat designed and built Embassy Court, check it out on Wikipedia because this is where you will be staying. brbrBrighton has a long wonderful promenade, which this apartment is in the middle of and pier with a crazy mix of fun fair and bars. The antique shops along The Lanes of Brighton, when it was little more than a village over 800 years ago. The pubs and restaurants in this area are full of character as they are throughout Brighton. The North Laine is another wonderful area of the town and when the village started to expand, this is where it expanded first over 750 years ago. It now has delightful boutiques and cafés, and occasionally some street entertainment. The well known Komedia Club is situated here, which is famous for its comedy, live music and cabaret acts. Brighton and Hove is filled with stunning Victorian buildings with exceptional buildings along the seafront of Hove. Turn right out of the apartment building and all along the front here the buildings can only impress from a time gone by. brbrThere is a plethora of museums, theatres, and of course the famous Brighton Festival throughout May each year showcasing some of Brighton's best! Brighton's buzz is on full show throughout. Check out the Brighton Festival website describing it as an annual celebration of music, theatre, dance, circus, art, film, literature, debate, outdoor and family events - taking place in venues both familiar and unusual across Brighton & Hove for four weeks every May. There are also some museums in Brighton including the Booth Museum of Natural History and, appropriately, the National Museum of Penny Slot Machines if you are so inclined.brbrLast but certainly not least is the UK's largest LGBT+ event, Brighton Pride which seems to bring the entire city out onto the streets, gay, straight and everyone in between, with events, street parties, The Parade, culminating in a massive outdoor party in the park. This is an event that should not be missed. Brighton and Hove gay pride is usually held over the first weekend of August but it's really a week long event.
