Seaside Irish Home Next to World Class Golf, Fishing & Hiking

Our home ('Triphailme') is a 3,000 sq ft. private home located on the Irish coast in southwest Kerry. It sits 500 yards from Waterville Golf Links ranked in the top 5 of Ireland's best Golf courses and 54th in the top 100 of the world. The house has an 180 degree unobstructed view of the Atlantic Ocean. The house, built in 1999, enjoys 2 living rooms, one on the first floor and one on the second floor, both with the ocean view. brbrThe downstairs living room has a gas fireplace, perfect for returning from a day on the links. The house has 5 bedrooms en-suite; in addition there is a 6th bathroom in the center hall. Four of the bedrooms have ocean views. brbrThe kitchen is very spacious with an eating area attached. A washer and dryer are located in the back pantry off the kitchen that also includes a large hot press. There is also a game room off the kitchen which has a real fireplace. brbrThe Smugglers Inn, a 4 star Inn, is located half way between Triphailme and the golf course. The Smugglers offers fine dining at night as well as breakfast and lunch for those who don't care to cook. Triphailme is 3/4 of a mile from the village along the coast.brbrBrenda O'Sullivan, our house and reservations manager, is a wonderful resource for almost anything you could think of while staying at Triphailme. She can arrange airport pick up and drop off, drivers for evening activities, extra house cleaning, in-house catering and babysitters to mention a few. If you want to fish the local lake for gold medal salmon and trout with a guide, plan a unforgettable hiking trip, set up golf tee times or go horse back riding, Brenda will arrange it. brbrIn addition to the world ranked Waterville Golf Links and Skellig Bay Golf Club, you have other spectacular golf courses to choose from. Dooks, Tralee, Killarney Fish and Game and Ballybunion are all an easy drive for day trips.brbrTouring scenic Valentia Island, lunching in the charming fishing village of Portmagee, or shopping at the world famous Chocolate Factory in Ballinskelligs is short half a day trip.brbrYou can drive the historic and beautiful Ring of Kerry and lunch and shop in Kenmare and or Killarney.brbrKeywords:

Stunning country cottage near Waterville

Fabulous 4 bed 4 bathroom home with stunning views of Lough Currane and the mountains less than a mile outside Waterville ,a small village on the Atlanic Ocean .brThe cottage ,which is 2,400 sq ft , was constructed 12 years ago to a traditional style but to best building practices .The cottage was designed by a local architect to be in harmony with the surrounding countryside and its environment .It has a natural slate roof and uses both local stone and rough plaster finish to the external walls . brIt has three double bedrooms downstairs ,all en-suite .The master bedroom has an en -suite with a Jacuzzi and a large walk in shower with body jets . The living area is open plan with the kitchen off it and also a sun-room .There is also a utility area and a separate WC .Upstairs there is a further double bedroom and a living room .There is also shower room on this floor . The ground floor is tiled with slate to living areas , ceramic tiles to bedrooms and marble to master en -suite .Upstairs has French Oak Flooring and all the joinery in the cottage is French Oak .The cottage is heated by a Geo Thermal system with under floor heating to ground floor and radiators upstairs . There is a large open turf fire and there is turf in the shed that you are welcome to use .We have three flat screen TV`s ,DVD ,iPod decks , Sound system and Wi-Fi .We have a library of about 200 DVDs for you to watch and a library of approx. 300 books for you to enjoy and games to play just in case you might get a rainy day !!brThe gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with everything that you could possibly need to make great meals and there is an Australian Gas Barbecue if you fancy having a meal on our patio or the deck area. There is also patio furniture to sit on and enjoy a glass of wine while taking in the views all around you . brAll linen is provided including towels and beach towels .There are wetsuits , buckets , spades and bodyboards that you can use and thermos flasks and picnic baskets are also in the cottage . We have bicycles in the shed and also helmets and Hi Vis jackets brThis is a home that we build for our own use and we would like to think that our guests will come and stay in our home and enjoy Waterville as much as we have over the years

Skellig Bay View Cottage is located jsut a short stroll from Waterville village. There are two bedrooms - one downstairs and with access to the guest toilet, and the other upstairs with a lovely spacious bathroom and a separate dressing room area.  brbrDownstairs, the sitting room and living room areas offer incredible sea views. Patio doors lead out to a separate large patio area with a full set of great quality and very comfortable Jamie Oliver garden furniture set overlooking the football pitch sized garden!brbrThe sitting room is cosy and comfortable with couch and armchairs ideal for relaxing and enjoying the views or cosying up in the evenings with the stove lighting. There is is small dining area with a table to seat four. The kitchen although small, is well equipped (there is no dishwasher in the Cottage but there is pretty much everything else!)brbrThere is plenty of off-road parking in the yard and alongside the house. brbrThere are about eight sandy beaches within a 20 minute drive of the house. You can walk to the Golf Links Beach. Walking into Waterville itself will take you about 10-15 minutes.
