It`s much less touristy and crowded than Banff (just 25 minutes away) and offers, in our opinion, even better restaurants and amenities. Main Street is a fun walk with lots of great shops. Don`t miss Elevation Place, Canmore`s community center where kids can learn to rock climb with a safe, self-repelling system. We`ve seen children as young as 2 years old climbing there.brbrWe think you will love Canmore. Taxis are readily available in Canmore.brbrThe main part of town is less than 1 km from your front door via the pedestrian rail crossing, featuring excellent dining and charming small shops.brbrThe building houses an upscale restaurant, The Grande. We have always had fantastic meals there, though the restaurant receives mixed reviews, so we encourage you to check its current status on TripAdvisor.brbr***Please note that the Techno showers on the main floor are aging, and their continued performance cannot be guaranteed. The shower functions as a regular shower, but the remote and additional features may not always work. The steam function is no longer operational in any of the showers. We are in the process of replacing them. Thank you for your patience and understanding.***brWe prefer not to use the term `House Rules`—we want everyone to have a great time and enjoy themselves. Still, here are some requests to help make your stay more enjoyable and to protect our suite:brbrPlease remove shoes while in the home.brbrAbsolutely no animals—unfortunately, pets are prohibited due to severe allergies.brbrNo smoking, not even on balconies or patios, as per the building`s bylaws.brbrThe building has a quiet time starting at 10 PM. There are plastic glasses available.brbrKeep the lid on the tub at all times when not in use to maintain heat otherwise the tub may not be warm enough for bathing.brbrCHECKOUT:brbrCheckout time is before 11:00 AM. No need to formally check out.brbrDishwasher: Please load any dirty dishes in the dishwasher and turn it on before departure. Your assistance with larger pots is appreciated if used.brbrTowels: Gather used towels and leave them on the floor in either bathroom.brbrRecycling: Remove all garbage and recycling from the suite upon departure. Garbage and recycling are located at the top of the Parkade ramp. Only corrugated cardboard and returnable bottles can be recycled in Canmore. Cardboard goes in the green recycling bin, and returnable bottles go in the designated area. The rooftop hot tub has the best views in the entire Bow Valley, a 360-degree full panorama…take your camera for this luxurious soak. Hot tub times are scheduled, and the hot tub booking information is included with the check in documents. A basic fitness room is located at the end of the hall near the elevator, it has weights and a few machines including a treadmill and plenty of space for a workout. The outdoor courtyard is complete with benches and an assortment of shops are on the lower main level of the building, such as bank, sports rental gear, liquor, electronics and pizza. brbrLOCAL AREAbrCanmore is the gateway to Banff National Park, a mere 10 minutes from this UNESCO world heritage site. Banff National Park is world-renowned for its majestic peaks and glacier lakes, amazing activities, sightseeing and wildlife sighting opportunities. Canmore Crossing condominium is located in the hub of downtown Canmore, historically a mining town. Today, Canmore is a vibrant and modern town with 10,000 + residents, a quaint mountain town. The condo itself is a short walk away from downtown Canmore and the finest shops, galleries and restaurants in the Bow Valley. This location is steps (1 min walk) away from key services like grocery, liquor, postal, banking and coffee shops. Across the road from the condo is access to the huge downtown network of walking trails, don’t miss a stroll around the Bow River and the historic bridge, it is a local favourite. Canmore was well ahead of the vacation rental trend and implemented designated zoning for tourist units many years back. We pay a surcharge of city taxes as we are a short-term rental business in the designated tourist zone. This means you as a guest are fully permitted by the town of Canmore and its existing bylaws to stay in this short-term rental and will not experience any hassles during your stay. Many units and listings are not tourist zoned which can be potentially disruptive for your vacation. Understandably, within the neighbourhoods of Canmore people do not want tourists vacationing next door. Canmore Crossing is situated in the heart of the downtown core away from the Trans Canada highway, it is the best tourist zoned location in Canmore.
