Villa Stella, swimming pool, by the beach, close to Athens

We stayed at the villa for almost a week with our family and had a great time. It is very well equipped and clean. The pool is amazing, and the view is gorgeous! The villa inside is simple but offers a lot of space to hang out together. It is a bit far from anything (a minimum 20-minute ride everywhere), so I think it is recommended, especially if you plan to stay inside and not leave more than once a day. For us it was great. Highly recommended

Extremely comfortable home with the most incredible views. We were treated like family and even had a traditional lunch organized for us in a local restaurant. The area was perfect .Highly recommended

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. We loved dining on the balcony overlooking the sea and cooling off in the pool.

We enjoyed our stay here and the managers were very nice. The view can’t be beat and the pool is more beautiful in person. The pool was too cold to swim in every day in July. The balcony was our favorite place. The beds were sort of hard but some like that. The master is a queen, bedroom 2 was queen but felt bigger. Bed 3 was a full. The single beds in the downstairs bedroom are cots. Our teens couldn’t sleep there. One slept on the couch in second floor sitting room. It was ok, but no air. Plenty of sheets and towels. Kitchen very serviceable. As others have stated, the property is outdated and a little run down. Our biggest pet peeve was the fact that we couldn’t flush tp. Since there’s no housekeeping, we had to empty the bathroom cans ourselves. That was unexpected at this caliber of rental. We had a great time overall.

Marika, who was in charge of giving us the keys, was very resposive and helpful. She gave us valuable about the house and surroundings. We were 3 couples staying there and enjoyed the breathtaking view, the pool and terrace. The big kitchen enabled us to cook tasty meals everyday. Just one point: the bedrooms are not equal at all in terms of size, view and amenities, so be prepared to draw straws!

The photos do not do this villa justice! We loved our stay here. The villa was spotlessly clean, well-equipped and comfortable. The pool is amazing - much larger than average and the views are incredible. Marika was so kind, welcoming and helpful. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

100% honest review. The villa truly is a very nice property - however the description is sugarcoated. If you’re staying at this villa you need a car - you cannot “leave the driving to the Greeks”. It is very remotely located and just getting to a very small mini market requires driving. Athens is 1-1.5 hours away depending on the traffic and the subway to Athens is 50 minutes away from the house - not a bus ride away; you will need to drive 30 min to get to that bus first. The agency renting the villa out for the owner are AMAZING, they’re so professional and nice and they made our stay. However when we presented our complaints to the owner herself she refused to even hear us out - she felt like we were in the wrong for not “doing our homework”, and said the description clearly stated you need to rent a car. We did contact HomeAway and after Reading the description they fully agreed with us regarding the exaggeration of the proximity of everything. When you’re renting a luxury house for one week - you need to offer the guests that service and be service-minded. You have to take your guests complaints seriously rather than claim they are wrong and stupid. Our stay would have been amazing if the owner had just been honest about the car situation - we spent 2 days locked into the house - we could’ve rented a car when we first arrived in Athens but now we paid 250 euros for taxis from Athens + another 500 euros for the cars. Hence I want to warn everyone - if you want to be close to everything and if you want to have decent and professional contact with the owner - this isn’t the property for you. The villa itself is lovely but you’d be far safer renting it directly from the agency. I’d just like to end with a big thank you to the agency for being so amazing!

We spent a week at the Villa Stella and had a wonderful time. A beautiful home and location, and the owners were very friendly and helpful. Plenty of room, beds were comfortable, and the views were stunning. Much nicer experience than staying in a hotel. The owners referred us to a wonderful tour guide named Stavros which I would highly recommend. Seeing Greece was one of those trips of a lifetime, and staying at the Villa was one of the reasons. Highly recommend.

There are just not enough superlatives to describe the experience we enjoyed while staying at Villa Stella for a week. We shared the property with another couple. The home is very spacious, such that we all had plenty of room to ourselves. The appointments are luxurious, the setting is quiet, and the views are stunning. The photos are accurate, but cannot do this property justice. The owner, Vasso, was always quick to accommodate any request we made. We retained the guide recommended in the listing. Stavros was a remarkable find, who showed us places we would not have even known to look for. Everyone made us feel like we were part of their families, and combined to create the best vacation experience we've ever had. If you are traveling to the Athens area, do not pass up this opportunity!

It's always risky to book vacation overseas, remotely, but it was extremely positive experience for us..villa Stella is a heaven on earth , stunning views, from almost all the sides, luxurious , , comfortable with its 4 bedrooms, very well maintained, clean , sufficiently equipped kitchen .Great location -remote from civilization yet easily accessible , nice beaches, near town Marathonas, and other charming places.., not to mention Athens, 1 hr away... Our stay was wonderful , the host -owner , mrs Vasso, is there yo make sure u have everything u need. providing all the info regarding how to get around, where to shop, what to see, etc... Overall it was absolutely great experience , I'm keeping this place in my future vacation plans, definitely coming back , spreading news to my colleagues at work, friends, etc.. Thank you Despina and Vasso for letting us experience this!!!
