Villa Sonia with sea view

Well, to start off we are American (65) and I sometime my expectations are higher than they should be. First off was the private gate, you had to exit the car to enter a code to open the gate. You also had to exit the car to enter a code to leave but the code box was at ground level. When it rained you had no choice but get wet. The driveway was on a steep slope also. The exterior of the property had abandoned vehicle and appliance, unmaintained grounds. The bathroom shower had mold around the bottom corners. The property also was approximately two miles off the main road through small narrow roads that seemed unmaintained. No phone service ( I believe because we were on the back side of a large hill down near the ocean, blocking signal). Not their fought. Couldn’t get wi-fi even after owner came to check it out. So, we had to get in the car and go to top of hill to get online to schedule any tours. The villa does have a great view, clean rooms other than bathroom shower. So, for the reasons listed I couldn’t give it more than a two star. If I can figure out how to upload pictures I’ll post some.

We enjoyed our stay very much. As city people we could enjoy the peace and seclusion very much. The house has everything you need and the location overlooking the sea is outstanding. We will be very happy to come back!

If you are traveling with teenagers rent the bigger house. We had the one that slept 4 but it would be tight fit for more that 2 adults and 2 little kids. This place is great we loved it. Get satnav to find it.

Perfect House for a small family. Beautiful view with, clean an quiet. You Can Walk Down to the Beach below - our kids of 9 and 11 had no problems with the path. There are several beaches near by if you ho by car. We hope to return to the House. The communication with Tomasso and Mauro went smooth.

We loved this house, right by the sea and with a feel of having absolute privacy. Feels like a real holiday home - not rental. Tomasso always replied to our questions immediately.

In short this place is truly beautiful, even more beautiful than on the pictures. We had private quiet seaside in the most busy season, that looks like a fairy tale and the house was perfect too, we everything we needed - apart from telephone service. We had the best panorama I have ever seen, sea from the bed, from the kitchen, from the balcony and where the sea ends the olive trees are coming with a small ruin, very beautiful. The hosts were also very helpful.

We had a great week here, loving the nearby private beach, the brilliant ancient sites not far away and everything else you can wish for if you need to relax and enjoy utter peace and quiet. Thanks to Tomaso for welcoming us with local offerings of wine and Olive oil and being straight on hand when we had questions. Best nature holidays in ages Lotte and Nicky
