This was the first time my husband and I rented a house in Italy, and our stay here far surpassed our expectations. We stayed for 5 weeks, and it became our home away from home. The property is beautiful. The house is spacious and comfortable, and the owners were extremely helpful and kind. In addition, the location of the property was absolutely perfect, situated in the quiet country, yet close to everything. We could run to the market in 10 minutes, grab great pizza in 15 minutes, or enjoy fine dining in 20 minutes. Yet we would come home to peace and quiet without a long winding road. We could run to Florence, Arezzo, Siena, Perugia, Montepulciano, Pienza, Orvieto or San Gimignano, all within an hour. We highly recommend this house to anyone wanting to come and enjoy Tuscany. And thank you to the owners for their kindness and attentiveness to all of our questions and needs.

Had a family and friends group of 8 stay at this magnificent villa, and could not be more happy. The building is beautiful, spacious, and has all the amenities needed. Host was responsive and the property manager was lovely to deal with. Beds were spacious, comfortable, and linens were clean, bathrooms were clean and en-suite for all bedrooms. The pool and outdoor space was perfect and quiet. 10/10 would stay again. Thanks!

We were a family party of 12 and the main house was perfect for our 20 something young adults whilst we enjoyed the seclusion of the annex which also has spacious accommodation on 2 floors and en suite bathrooms. The pool is amazing and cleaned every day. The location is great, peaceful with stunning views. We enjoyed a vineyard tour a short walk away and discovered a fabulous bar/deli for excellent coffee and Peritifs. Well located to explore the best of Tuscany.

Villa Gagnoni is a well restored authentic Tuscan farmhouse in a superb, tranquil away from it all natural setting. It is an excellent, well located base for exploring central Tuscany with many of the top attractions anywhere from a short drive to an easy day trip away. The nearby village of Lucignano is charming. The quality of the architectural restoration is of a high standard. The furnishings include some impressive antique sideboards and wardrobes and is otherwise comfortably utilitarian. Very good quality mattresses in all the bedrooms. Modern ensuite bathrooms. The interior lighting could use some improvement. The generous exterior and large pool are a highlight. Luciano, who was looking after the place when we stayed, is charming, highly responsive, and very efficient at sorting out any issues you may have. The wifi went off line once (a common enough problem anywhere) and he reset it immediately. All in all a very relaxing stay.

My wife and I enjoyed a week with our extended family in this Villa. The place is very large with plenty of room for everyone to spread out. There are plenty of bathrooms and most are modern and quite new. The whole place has an authentic feel to it and has been sympathetically renovated in a traditional style which we loved. The grounds are extensive and the pool area is lovely with lots of sunbeds and shade. We had a minor medical emergency and the owners were very friendly and helpful. There is a massive Coop and Lidl in Sinalunga only 20 mins away. All in all a fantastic base to explore the area - we loved Lucigana which is very picturesque but not too tourisy which is very close by. We did some sigthseeing the highlights being Arezzo and Montepulciano. We found a vegan Italian restaurant nearby which was handy for us. The only small gripes would be no pool towels supplied (you had to rent at 5 euros each) no hand soap or any cleaning products or diswasher tablets - I think for the price you pay little things like this should be included.

From the moment of booking we had excellent personal attention and immediate response to enquiries. Nothing was too much trouble for Cristina, which was very much appreciated The facilities were excellent and well maintained. Don't fail to go to the Pizza night which was good fun and allowed us to meet other residents. In all a wonderful holiday in a beautiful setting - close to many amazing hill top towns!

In June 2019 we were with our family once again in Tuscany. We have never lived in such a beautiful house! The rooms are very comfortable and the associated, clean bathrooms are not found in many hotels. The grounds and the pool are very well maintained. There are two terraces where you can enjoy food and the sunset. There is plenty of crockery and cutlery available and the kitchen is well equipped. Christina, the good soul of the house is incredibly lovable and always behaves discretely. This applies to all helpers who take care of the garden and the pool. In Sinalunga there are plenty of opportunities to shop. There is also a nice weekly market where you can buy fresh and delicious products. We would go there anytime again.

Our very pleasing first impressions of Villa Gagnoni were more than matched throughout our holiday by its location and facilities. It was clearly a well maintained property, with a pool and grounds in a superb condition. All staff of site were welcoming, efficient and keen to please - particularly Cristina, the on-site manager. Being out in the countryside the location offered peace and tranquility, yet it was just a short distance from Lucignano, the nearest town, and there were opportunities for walking and cycling in the local area. Further afield, we went to Siena, Montepulciano and Lago Trasimeno, all well worth a visit. The villa was ideal for our large family get-together (6 adults/4 children), having 5 spacious bedrooms each with their own bathroom. We spent our breakfast times outside on the covered patio where Cristina brought our order for bread and croissants with a big smile each morning - the daily orders from a local bakery are a must! In the evenings we used the well-provided kitchen facilities or BBQ and occasionally ate at local restaurants (recommendations: Lucignano - Ristaurante La Tavernetta and Il Goccino; Rigomagno - Scroccazucche). We took advantage of the Wine Tasting evening, which was arranged through Cristina - an excellent, fun-filled and very informative time sampling some of the high quality Tuscan wines along with cheese and salami. Our stay at Villa Gagnoni certainly exceeded our expectations and we can fully recommend it for a wonderful holiday.

We spent amazing 2 weeks in this fantastic villa. It was the perfect vacation and it will be hard to find anything better. The villa is just beautiful - a very traditional building with brand new bathrooms, an amazing dining hall and living room. Just amazing. The best part however is the location. Slightly on a hill in the middle of pure nature we had total tranquillity. The villa is surrounded by olive trees, a small soccer field for the kids and the awesome pool, which got daily maintenance. Cristina, who is taking care of the property and who is onsite every day in the morning was super nice and helped us with anything we needed. The next groceries stores are around 20mins away in Lucignano or Sinalunga. Restaurants are around but we did not want to leave this amazing place where we had dinner during sunset each day. Mountain biking in the area was also great. There are great single trails around lago di Calzione and the military facilities next to it. We will come back, it was just phenomenal.
