Villa Athina on Crete near Rethymno and the beach

Vila Athena is delightful, very well equipped, in a quiet location but close to bars and tavernas it is the perfect base from which to explore and enjoy some of the nearby beaches.

We spent two wonderful weeks in Villa Athina. Everything was as described and the communication was always prompt and easy. Thank you, we will come back, if we go to Crete again.

We (family of four) really enjoyed the villa. It had everything we needed, with a well-equiped kitchen, amazing pool and comfortable beds. Sunsets are amazing to view from the roof terrace too. We loved exploring Crete, using this villa as a base. Highly recommend this villa to everyone.

This beautiful villa and garden, sited opposite olive groves, with spectacular sunset views of the sea, had absolutely everything we could have needed for a fabulous holiday. All was as described, well appointed, and clean. There are lots of different corners, with chairs, cushions and bed chairs, so we could each enjoy our own space comfortably. The pool was crystal clear, and we had lots of fun. Don't forget to bring your own pool towels. The owner could not have been more helpful, swiftly responding to our queries, and providing really comprehensive information about the villa, and great recommendations for local restaurants and beaches, as well as trips further afield. The location is quite remote, so a car is a must. Would highly recommend.

The holiday home of Corné and Louise has all you need for a fantastic holiday. It is very well equiped with a lovely garden, terraces and swimming pool, beautiful views, quiet and clean. The open plan living room and kitchen are spacious and practical and the beds are good. The shower was great. If there was anything I'd had to change it would be the black armchairs, but that's a personal thing. Overall, we had a fantastic time in your holiday home!

We spent wonderful holidays in this house. The place is quiet, rooms are large and confortable with nice furnitures. The kitchen contains a large variety of cooking tools. Cleaning is included and regularly made. We especially enjoyed the swimming pool (whose size is nice)! Assuming you rent a car, the location enables to switch between quiet beaches in the South, trendy places in Rethymno, cultural visits near Héraklion.

This place is amazing , the girls loved the pool and the little village with friendly people , local shops and the bakery . It's few minutes drive to the express way and have good restaurants within 10-15 minutes drive . Excellent guide and useful tips from Corne and Louise made our stay even more enjoyable . As our return flight was quite late , they kindly allowed us to have a late check out . We were warmly welcomed by tea/ juice and Raki along with other stuff and Agnes came to provide us with fresh linen and cleaned the house in the middle of the week. The house is tastefully decorated with attention to very fine details .You can't ask for more ! The best holiday we ever had in Crete .
