All guests arriving at Villa Athena have the convenience of a private driveway with up to two parking spots.
By walking in the ground floor you feel like home looking at the cozy living room with a Panasonic 65' curved TV and a wood burning marble fireplace which you can use in case you visit Santorini in the winter.
There is a fully equipped kitchen where you can easily prepare all your favorite meals.
The modern looking ground floor area is complete with an inlay tiled luxurious bathroom which includes a walk in rain shower.
Walking up the marble stairway leads you to the upper level where two full size bedrooms and a loft/attic all with queen size beds and A/C are located.
Both master bedrooms have access to the lovely balcony overlooking at the garden and the Jacuzzi area where sitting comfortably you can relax under the shade of the pergola with mountain and sea views in the distance.
The large balcony is a great place to spend time, day and night, enjoying breakfast and coffee, looking the sun rise in the morning or if you prefer to savor a glass of the World famous Vinsanto wine as the magnificent evening colors mixed with the moonlight gather around the sky all over you.
From the first master bedroom a wooden stairway takes you to the attic/loft where is a queen size double bed and a portable A/C.
Through a hallway the master bathroom will definitely also impress you with its pebble decoration of the large soaking bathtub.

It is an elegant Villa tucked below historic Akrotiri village at the southern part of the island, in a quiet safe neighborhood, a location convenient for reaching the most popular and beautiful beaches ( Red Beach - Perivolos - Perissa ) and the Archaeological Excavation site only 10 min walk away or a couple of min drive by car.
Visitors there can see and walk next to the amazing ancient prehistorical city that was buried by the lava of the volcanic eruption at approximately 1613 B.C.
Leaving behind the Archaeological Excavation site after 10 min walk you can swim at the World famous RED BEACH a unique experience that combines crystal clear sea water with breathtaking red volcanic cliffs.
Villa Athena gives you the delight to see from close distance a really unique sunset from a well kept secret spot nearby.Just 1 min drive or 5-10 min walk downhill you are right there at the sunset spot away from the crowds enjoying the sun setting between the Lighthouse and Aspronissi rock island.
And the next day just go by car the opposite way and after 10 min you can enjoy the sunset from the Lighthouse area.

All guests have access to, and are challenged to enjoy everything that the Villa Athena has to offer, provided that, they will show respect for the owner's property so the next guests can also enjoy all the luxury at the maximum level.At close walking distance ( 5 min ) is the center of Akrotiri village with a few traditional taverns ( local restaurants ) serving home made food and two mini food/super markets.The Archaeological Excavation site and the World Famous RED BEACH is at walking distance, as mentioned before. Apart from that, the closest Bus stop is 5 min walk connecting you to the other parts of the island.
It is recommended though, for the guest's convenience to rent a car to explore the island faster and without depending on the local bus schedule which in busy summer months falls behind schedule and this causes delays or during winter is not so frequent.
Villa Athena has a no smoking policy in the house.Outside though, at the garden balcony and Jacuzzi area guests are allowed to smoke.
