Stayed Sep 30, 2024Located in a stunning part of Sicily, the villa has remarkable gardens and a glorious view of the harbour and beach. Great kitchens for cooking inside and out. We were well supported by the family who own this holiday home and by a local family who care for the property. Grazie per tutto!

Stayed Jun 29, 2024We absolutely loved our stay at Mossimo's wonderful family home. After traveling around Sicily for a couple weeks, we were so ready to rest and relax and this cozy, authentic summer home was exactly what we needed. You can tell it has been enjoyed for generations and is filled with family mementos, art and books. I absolutely loved all of the traditional ceramic dinnerware. You can tell there is a history of collecting and enjoying meals together. Our daily commute down the steps through the orchard to Spiggia Guidaloca was a gift. Spending the hot days alongside Italian families made for a beautiful, authentic experience. Market Scopello is an amazing market nearby and the Solea Azenda Agricola is a lovely spot for fresh local produce, eggs, fresh milk and olive oil. The Village of Scopello was so charming and Mossimo gave amazing restaurant recommendartions. This was the last part of our trip and Scopello was our favorite area. It just felt so authentic and easy to enjoy. we felt so at home and really enjoyed the indoor / outdoor living. it's difficult to express just how special our time in Scopello was and Mossimo's home and the energy of his property is something we will never forget and We cannot wait to return!

Stayed Sep 15, 2023A private family home that sits atop a Cliff. It is down to earth, unpretentious yet sophisticated. We took long glorious swims everyday in the turquoise cove below that was our view from the house. Easy private access. It was dreamy and we loved our host Marco. He couldn’t have been more helpful.

Stayed May 29, 2023This property has one of the best views and locations we stayed at in Sicily. We were so happy to wake up and be able to walk down to the beach for a swim and a coffee. The house had everything we needed to cook our own food, make tea, coffee, wash clothes etc. We spent most of our time on the terrace and sunroom. We enjoyed going into Scopello nearby and the market down the road had all the supplies we needed. There was a very heavy rainstorm (probably very rare) on one day and we spent the day cleaning all of the water that came in. The owner sent someone to inspect as soon as he could, but we had already done all of the clean up of the flooded waters. The power went out (probably due to the rain) and again the owner sent someone to inspect. Unfortunately when it went out at night we didn't have a way of letting the owner know but he did send someone the next day. Overall very nice house. There were a lot of steep stairs to get up and down to the bedrooms, which was sometimes challenging for my older dad, so for anyone with problems with stairs, please take this in to consideration when booking. Thanks very much for the lovely stay.
