Sapphire Villa 535, Kingfisher Bay Resort, K'gari

The accommodation was really good. Will definitely stay there again. The only issues were no face washers, one set of towels for a week is not really enough, no tissues, there was only one roll of toilet paper, the couches and cushions were musty and the blue blankets were stained and a little smelly

The place is amazing

Spacious and quiet villa that had everything we needed for our 6-night stay. Great value for money. The washing machine and dryer was much appreciated! Our children (7 and 9) slept in the loft, the ladder is steep and I wouldn’t feel safe with smaller children climbing up and down. A railing attached to the wall would make it a bit safer in my opinion. The kitchen was well equipped but we felt the villa could do with a very thorough clean, the floors and kitchen cupboards looked a bit grimey but it definitely didn’t stop us from having a wonderful stay.

The only thing that this property has is its location. The unit itself is extremely dirty. The unit requires a complete makeover, there is dust and mould in most Areas. The kitchen is filthy, you cannot cook with any of the cooking appliances, they all need to be thrown in the bin. The state of the kitchen wouldn’t pass a health inspection by any means. The air conditioning is full of dust all over the filters. The lounge covers need to be thrown in the trash. The shower screen is unstable, and it doesn’t close and it is extremely dirty and has mould in all areas of the shower bath combo. On arrival the unit was apparently cleaned and on entering the unit there were ants all over the kitchen bench and we had to spend an hour cleaning the kitchen and we removed the bin to the veranda. The sliding door to the veranda was so hard to open and it was extremely heavy to even open. It requires new wheels on the door. Everywhere you looked was dirty. This unit requires a complete makeover and throughly cleaned and inspected before it should be allowed to be available for holiday rental. The owner should take responsibility in sacking there cleaners and the owner should be ashamed in allowing this property to be listed with Wotif. Wotif to protect your reputation you should inspect this property and make your own decision to see if it meets any standard. I personally do not recommend this property in its current state for holiday rental. I have taken several photos to justify review

The property is in a great location. The cleanliness had a lot to be desired. The fans in both rooms and the aircon filters looked like they had never been cleaned so Much dust. The aircon in the main bedroom did not get cool. Friendly staff on the island. The food was over priced and average. There are cooking facilities in the unit. Would advise take your own

Great facilities, quite, excellent location

Lovely host with great communication. The villa is lovely however it's a steep walk from all of the resort amenities so it's not the most pleasant thing to do after dinner or a few beverages. Unfortunately, the Aircon in the villa wasn't working and they put in a portable one to cool the villa down. It was extremely noisy and not very effective so our stay wasn't especially comfortable. Very little airflow so really needs fans installed or at least running the split system Aircon for the full duration of time to circulate some air. Villas equipped with everything that you need and is in decent condition.

Easy host to deal with. Villa had everything we needed. Had a great stay.

Great base on K'gari. Fantastic spot for fishing from Jetty.

All facilities met except for some consumables like disposable rubbish bag but other than the beds the property is dirty and cockroach was found.

Our stay at the bungalow treehouse at Kingfisher Bay Resort was comfortable and made for a great home base while exploring Fraser Island. The beds were cozy, and we loved unwinding on the balcony, which offered a lovely view of the surrounding nature. The resort’s location made it easy to access all the stunning beaches nearby. However, the treehouse was slightly rundown and the loft was not ideal for young children—it felt too unsafe for them to use, so we opted to sleep downstairs on the couch. Despite this, it was still a pleasant and convenient place to stay.

We enjoyed our accommodation. Maybe better Mattresses as they are stained. THANK YOU.

Tom was quick to sort out the small problem and was always available , the villa was great had everything you needed will definitely go back
