Designed by famed architect Abraham Valenzuela, this house connects you to nature and to each other in revitalizing ways. Many locals and guests call it one of the finest tropical homes in the region. It overlooks a deep river basin, with ocean views. You experience nature, instead of the sounds, lights and noise of man. The main House is 2 bedrooms and 2 Bathrooms .

In a gated community 12 km north of Nosara with many owner-occupied homes close by. Within the Rio Rosario river basin, which has probably the finest microclimate on Costa Rica's entire 780-mile Pacific Ocean coast.

Just minutes from several great restaurants - Hotel Luna Azul, Hotel San Juanillo, and a few nice eating spots and easy drives to Nosara or Liberia over 3 new bridges built in 2012. This unspoiled coast area is inaccessible no more.

House offers dramatic river basin and ocean views, and unforgettable sunsets. Lush grounds surround it with flowering plants, ferns and palms. You hear crashing waves that amplify up the river basin for soothing hypnotic sounds. Watch shimmering light reflections on its 50’ infinity-edge lap pool - always with perfect swimming temperatures and for lounging upon.

The house sits 300’ up and 1/2 km back up from the ocean for near perfect year-round temperatures. All concrete construction with exotic wood, copper and stone finishes, the house stays cool all day long. Lush tree canopies offer shade and attract monkeys and birds close. Most Nosara area houses require a/c both night and day, but this house only rarely requires a/c. This means you get to hear the sounds of nature instead of the sounds of electricity, compressors and fans.

The house has many exotic stone/copper/wood finish treatments. A large gourmet kitchen with European gas stove with convection oven. Smart TV, wifi & Starlink Internet and strong cell phone signals. Alarm system, safe room with renter's safe. Covered carport. Cleaning, pool and landscape services included, and also concierge services too.

Two bedrooms sit on opposite ends of the house. The large master suite has a king bed with a tree house-like feel in a tree canopy over decorative ferns and plants below. Its wood/glass walls open to all screen walls to make you feel like you're in a tree house. The master bedroom walls open on three sides to allow refreshing breezes to flow through. A glass shower room opens onto a private deck with outside shower that overlooks gardens below.

Guest bedroom has a queen bed with 3/4 bath. Also a full-size bed in gazebo outdoors . A/c in both bedrooms, and luxury ceiling fans too.

The world-famous Ostional turtle beach is just 2 km south. Famous intermediate and expert surf breaks are close by in Nosara, Ostional and Marbella. The region's best safe swimming and snorkeling beaches are 2 km away in San Juanillo.

With the deep lap pool outside of most rooms, the house is not for babies unable to swim. We prefer to rent to one or two couples, or a family of 4 with kids who swim.

This home is exquisite! Located well away from the hustle & bustle that Nosara has become, it's a peaceful respite. It's very well equipped & furnished and well maintained. The pool is perfectly situated such that the temp stays refreshing on the hottest days. There are plenty of sunny and shady spots to curl up with a book and a beverage. Two items to be aware of: 1. the pool IS a true lap pool, no shallow end. If you are less than 5' tall, you cannot touch the bottom. Our poor vertically challenged friend needed a pool noodle. 2. the roads into and around the home are rugged. We've been in the area many times and found them to be more challenging this year than previously. Just be prepared and rent the sturdiest vehicle you can. Outside of that, this is a wonderful property in a wonderful location. You can hear the waves which is something I truly love. Pura Vida!

This was a beautiful property which met and exceeded the expectations set by the VRBO description. The arrangement of the house and its placement amongst mature vegetation made it a comfortable place to begin and end our days. The local property managers were pleasant and responsive. The infinity pool was particularly enjoyed by all. The kitchen was supplied with everything we needed to cook for ourselves during the stay.

Our 10 day retreat, was indeed a retreat! The house opened to the gorgeous pool and view. In fact one of our favorite features was that the entire house could open to our private jungle. We had daily, and nightly entertainment from our resident critters. Howlers, lizards, iguanas, and these tiny green frogs (they only are out at night). The noise they expel is amazing. Pool seating, towels, and just about everything you need was provided. Other favored features include an outdoor shower, lounging palace, huge ceiling fans which we found very refreshing. I will add at this time......NO BUGS, You almost don't want to say that out loud! Roads are challenging, get a jeep! It is worth the dust, rocks, and every divot on your way to this gem. We felt embraced by the peacefulness and beauty!

Words will not convey the breathtaking beauty you see entering this home. I actually cried when I walked through the house to the outside view. It is magical and breathtaking. We were greeted by two of the loveliest people who showed us the ins and outs of the home and were available to answer all our questions. This was our first time to Costa Rica and we learned alot. 1. Get local money - it's just easier. Unsure of what to do, we got less than we should have. 2. You get acclimated to the heat very quickly. The house opens all the way up and the breeze, fans and pool kept us cool during the day. We turned the AC on in our room about 15 minutes before bed and again when waking and slept perfectly.3. We experienced a few critters we saved from the house. Nothing we couldn't handle and having done our research, were expecting.4. Hit the local markets/grocery stores for snacks. There are restaurants, but for us, it was nice to be able to just stay home and enjoy the quiet.5. We drank tap water the entire time and were just fine, it's actually better than the water in Texas.6. Read the welcome book, there's some tips in there that are helpful.7. Get a 4x4 large SUV - we had a smallish one and managed just fine, but I think a larger one would have been less bumpy.8. Tipping is not required, but is appreciated. We've only been gone a few days and already miss it - we will 1000% go back.

Great place to unwind, relax and get away from it all, yet close to beaches and activities. Home and amenities will not disappoint, will just make you not want to leave!

The house is beautiful, clean and well furnished. A few hicups but nothing that a beautiful sunset could not fix. We ventured out every morning and it was nice to have a home base.

Great property, fabulous construction, everything in working order - no problems. The weather so bad (raining heavily most days - we early during a break in the rain, going north on 160 - roads flooded and the usual potholes - if the water had been a couple inches higher - we still be there - strongly suggest not renting in the rainy season -

A great trip. Located off the beaten path of tourism. The house, pool, scenery were more than we could imagine. Hosts were very responsive.
