Shanta Pura, World Class Surfing, Large New Home, Close to the Beach, Private Chef Included!!

We had a fabulous visit in Costa Rica -- and we agreed the best part of it was Shanta Pura -- with a pool in the middle of the home's living space and plenty of room for playing, cooking, dining, relaxing, games and even puzzles. It is ideal for a family of 8 - two master suites and baths up and two other nice bedrooms and baths by the pool. The furnishings were top notch, a great background for wonderful art in every room and handsome accessories that suited the space. And when we arrived after a 2-hour van ride from the airport, our wonderful chef and her assistant were already preparing our first meal -- what a welcome! The whole experience was like being in a movie; and the staff was friendly, professional, and helped us with everything from transportation and reservations for fishing, surfing lessons and dining. The only thing we were not fully prepared for was the local's preference for payment in US cash dollars for most services. All in all, Shanta Pura and Nosara provided an amazing setting to celebrate our 80th birthdays with all our family. Thank you Rick Wilkins, Grace, Heidi and the howler monkeys in the treetops! It was for sure beyond our expectations -- and then some.

If you’re going to Nosara, this is definitely one of the best houses to rent. From the location, to the cleanliness, thoughtful design, and of course the hospitality from the property management company being top notch. The house is on a flat street super close to the beach and everything about the stay was amazing, from our chef Clara to Grace (the property management host) it was all spot on. If you’ve been to Nosara then you know this house is a gem, if this is your first time, well then you chose wisely. Simple as that.

We have a 12 and 9 year old and my husband, myself and one of our friends stayed at Shanta Pura during spring break and had a great time. Grace was amazing and anything we needed we received promptly. The property was super close to the beach so it’s great for walking. Nosara during the dry season is super dusty so it is what it is. Surrounded by monkeys and mango trees. Only downside is being down by the beach there is tons of building going on so it can be loud in early am’s. We will be back for sure

I cannot say enough terrific things about Shanta Pura. The house is perfect. It is set-up and equipped for entertaining and enjoying the Costa Rican life. The central pool is great for hanging around — and the large kitchen makes for easy food preparation. Shanta Pura is across from a great surf shop, walking distance to the beach, to restaurants and to Bodhi Tree for yoga. We loved that the house had bikes, allowing us to explore farther. We felt safe, relaxed and pampered. Another big plus is the property management company. Rick and his team at Beach Management Nosara were the icing on the cake, making the house even more enjoyable. They arrived at check-in, did pre-arrival grocery shopping, and were available to me anytime to answer questions or support specific needs. I highly recommend Shanta Pura and can’t wait to return! It’s a 5-star review!!

The best house

We recently stayed for a week in Shanta Piura and can't say enough positive things about this place!! Walking distance to the beach, amazing house all around - everything you see is what you get! We enjoyed the pool morning, noon, and night! We were two families so everybody had their own bed! Isa cooked for us breakfast lunch and dinner when we asked her to. Adolpho was also very friendly and very helpful! Daniella was in constant contact with us to ensure that we had everything that we needed. The only thing that I could think of that would make it better, would be a few extra bath towels. Other than that they provide you with everything from beach towels to Yeti cups keeping your beverages cold at the beach! We rode the bikes on the beach every day, we surfed every day, and truly had one of our best vacations ever! I recommend paying for a shuttle from the airport to the house because it is a long drive and if you arrive at night it would be very difficult to find. Also while you are there, I recommend renting golf carts to get around town because there are great restaurants and other parts of the town to see. Go see Chico for surf lessons and rentals! I hope other families enjoy it and take care of it as much as we did! Pura Vida!!

Unbelievable home. Open air house! Bedrooms air conditioned! Truly beautiful. Beach 1 minute walk. It's like staying at a five star resort but better. Breakfast lunch dinner cooked for you while you swim in the pool inside the home! Great local restaurants friendly people and one of the greatest places to learn to surf. Slice of heaven. Can't wait to return! Well done boys well done.
