Stayed Jul 26, 2025We had a great time in this beautiful villa! The pool is very spacious and the kids had a great time there during the hot days! With the shutters closed (during the day), we could also keep it very cool in the bedrooms. The bathroom is also nicely modernised and very spacious in size. The kids wanted to take a bath every night:).....Some beds near the pool are slowly in need of replacement, we didn’t saw this as a big issue. But I can imagine that not everyone can mount wheels etc.Betinna & Will you can be proud on this beautiful place!

Stayed Jun 14, 2025A wonderful base from which to explore this beautiful part of Italy. Quiet & peaceful, Villa Alto Cielo is very spacious, with generously-sized bedrooms, fantastic main bathroom, very comfortable sitting room and huge kitchen-diner opening out on to the fabulous terrace - to enjoy unparalleled views of the valley & mountains. Wonderful flowers & wildlife all around. It is very much a home and our hosts were super efficient, friendly & speedy in our communications. And generous with house essentials like soap, toilet paper etc. Much appreciated. If you want to experience the Marche region you would be hard-pressed to do better than be based in this stunning spot. Highly recommend!

Stayed Aug 10, 2024We absolutely do not recommend this rental. Our stay was a complete disaster. First of all, we were victims of a burglary in broad daylight while our child was sleeping in their room. The fence is not secured, anyone can enter. It was a terrifying experience that completely ruined our vacation. As if that wasn’t enough, the pool pump was broken, making it impossible to swim in the sweltering 40°C heat. Worse the maintenance company said it is safe to go, but measuring the PH and Cl, values were not even in the range on the measuring tool !! With no air conditioning in the house, the atmosphere became unbearable. In summary, this stay was an absolute nightmare spending over 5.000 € for 3 days on horror and 4 days on the road. Avoid this place at all costs! It is not safe.

Stayed Jun 17, 2023We had a really nice stay in Villa Alto Cielo. Everything was as pictured and the scenery in the area is spectacular. Only downside was the that there was no A/C, which would have been nice during the hot nights.

Stayed Jun 18, 2022We have just had a wonderful 2 week holiday at Villa Alto Cielo. First off the information provided before our arrival was excellent - local knowledge in Le Marche is essential as this is not a tourist mecca which is part of its charm. The villa’s location overseeing a patchwork of fields with the backdrop of the Sibilini mountains is the highlight. Last 2 weeks in June felt like we were in a heatwave so the best time to sit and gaze at the view was first thing in the morning after a swim. Whenever we stay at villas we try and imagine the decisions made in its development. The house itself is perfect for families looking for peace, quiet away from neighbours. The decor reflects that this is Will & Bettina’s home as does the extensive library available to peruse. For those who cannot live without social media - the broadband works perfectly well in the library. There were lots of towels available and the electric fans made the hot nights a little more comfortable. Take advantage of opening the screened windows as mosquitos don’t miss an opportunity to do their mischief. Outside the covered veranda is perfectly designed for some welcome shade in the day and sitting outside to dine, read and chill in the evening. The kitchen is a lovely size for cooking and when it gets too dark playing cards in the evening. The new BBQ is a welcome addition (and is positioned perfectly for alfresco dining) and the sausages, steaks and chicken purchased from Oasi in Tolentino were delicious. The pizza oven was used once and we managed some creditable pizzas - as indicated the oven is large and does take a while to heat up. The filter coffee machine was put to good use - but we could not find filters in any of the shops (either find some at home or improvise with kitchen towel). The wildlife is interesting: of note were the Swifts who would swoop in and take a drink whilst you swim, the fireflies (first time I have seen them) and a hare came visiting. Sunflowers are out and there has been lots of agricultural activity - mostly cutting and harvesting but nothing intrusive. Do not be alarmed by the occasional hornet who comes exploring but is completely docile (nothing like the wasps in the UK) and the little scorpions who are quite happy to avoid you. Sarnano is definitely worth visit and we managed a 5 course agriturismo experience. Don’t expect anyone to speak English but you an get along with little Italian.

Stayed Aug 22, 2020We spent two weeks here at the end of August, enjoying the extraordinary tranquility and beauty of this place and the surrounding nature. The house is spacious, well-kept and very well equipped. From the terrace there is an excellent view of the landscape around and the Sibillini mountains in the distance. In the gardens, there’s plenty of butterflies as well as birds (even the colorful bee-eaters) and bats at night. We spent quite some time at the great pool, enjoying the sun and the water and were lucky enough the find the fig trees full of delicious fruits. Sitting at the terrace in the morning, having a coffee and reading a book was as wonderful as swimming in the pool at dawn. It is not far to the mountains for wonderful walks to Lame Rosse or Gola dell‘Infernaccio or for taking a dip in Lago de Fiastra. We went to see the beautiful city of Ascoli Piceno, visited Loreto, Tolentino, the Frassasi caves and of course the adriatic beach at Sirolo. There’s plenty to do and if one doesn’t want to travel too much one can always climb the little slope behind the house, walk to the large wooden cross at the top and enjoy the magnificient view (or fly a kite as we did). All in all a perfect place, easy to book, with plenty of recommendations on what to do and what to see. If there’s questions or need for help the owner or the local facility management were easy to reach and they responded within a really short time. We highly recommend this place !

Stayed Jun 1, 2019We spent lovely sunny 12 days at the Villa and its' surroundings. Easy to recommend for this property as well Marche area as whole. Especially the pool area of the Villa is absolutely spot on. I think we spent most of our time there :) The information and details about the property were accurate and it was easy to deal with the owner. Great way to spend your vacation in Italy!
