Private Luxury Villa, Lush Tropical Setting, Stunning Ocean Views - entire villa

The property was very nice. The host communicated very well and was friendly.

Pre-communication with owner (Peter) and property manager (Sabine) was so helpful and put me at ease regarding planning. Upon arrival Sabine met us to ensure everything was in working order, had pre-shopped for us and had the house open. During our stay Sabine was available and super helpful with information. The landscape and view from Bellevue Terrasse was breathtaking. Perfect location because the sun rises and sets across the property giving ample sun but a cross breeze and shade everyday. The location. The house is comfortable for 6 adults (no twin beds a positive for us). Three full bedrooms and baths and the two on the bottom are identical. Although we had every amenity, some of the appliances were old and a little updating is needed. We were there to connect with our heritage as this was the birthplace of my dad’s grandfather. Regarding Bequia BE PREPARED for very narrow one lane roads and LOTS AND LOTS OF STEEP HILLS

Beautiful home with great views!

While the property was amazing, there is so much more to praise: the owner, the property manager, support services/people, the location, and the house. Peter (the owner) was incredibly easy to work with and most helpful. Our friends had been to Bequia years earlier, but we had not. Peter sent us info about COVID travel regulations, as well as the easiest way to navigate the process of arriving and departing from the island. I never asked a question he didn't answer, and his answers were right on point. High marks here. Sabine (the local property manager) was just wonderful. Even though we arrived on the Monday after Easter, she had our requested list of provisions - some of which got us through our first few meals, and some got us through the entire week there. She kept in touch, brought a few other things we needed, helped us get acclimated to the controls for the house, the provided cell phone for local calls, and was available but not obtrusive. High marks here also. Peter referred us to Gideons Taxi for car rental and taxi services. Bronte was most helpful in arranging our rental car (delivered to the house), scheduling our airport pickup and transport to the house, obtaining my local driving permit, and our early morning departure taxi ride to the ferry. Jenson was our taxi driver with Gideon and he was just great. From collecting us at the airport and getting us to the house, to bringing us to dinner and back in the evenings (so the driver could sample the different varieties of rum punch available), to collecting us before 6am on our last day so we could make the early ferry to St Vincent, he was amazing. Dependable, courteous, easy to work with - High marks here also. Bequia is a beautiful island with friendly people. We never encountered anyone who was unkind, and everyone we met was very friendly and helpful. The view from the house couldn't have been more breathtaking. And finally, the house - Bellevue Terrasse is most appropriately named. The view in every direction is wonderful. We rented the entire house and loved every minute of our stay. The upstairs living area, kitchen, and outdoor area was spacious, well equipped, and very comfortable. All 3 of the bedrooms (1 up and 2 down) were en suite, spacious and very comfortable. The pool was very inviting. This property is well maintained and was a joy to stay in. High marks here also. Many thanks to Peter, Sabine and everyone else who made our stay so enjoyable. We will be back!!!

We enjoyed our stay at Bellevue Terrasse. It was further out than we expected, but arranged a rental car, so it was ok. We still took a taxi in the evening as navigating the steep and winding roads at night can be daunting. The house was well appointed. The mattresses could have been a bit more comfortable. They are in a wooden frame which digs into your legs when you sit on the bed. The mattress is also quite thin and hard. I did not have a good nights sleep the entire time. Very uncomfortable. Also wish there were more than 2 standard size pillows in a king bed. There is A/C and it worked beautifully. We rented the entire house as there were 5 of us. My daughter was really looking forward to the waterfall in the pool shown in the pictures. Unfortunately it is broken. We were not made aware of this prior to booking. We did enjoy the pool. Be careful not to leave food out. The ants are relentless. Stay on top of it and you will have no problems. Sabine was wonderful and was quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had. Our shower clogged up during our stay and she was out right away to repair it. We wouldn’t stay again only because we had difficulty navigating the roads to go so far. The laneway was narrow and although well lit, we had to back our rental into it each time. There is no room at all to turn your vehicle around. We felt the value we received for what we paid was a bit low. This was our second stay in Bequia and we rented a private house each time. This is a nice, well appointed home, but not luxury. A few things, such as linens, mattresses and pillows need to be upgraded. There were only one towel each for our stay, and one beach towel. The cleaner did come once during our stay and freshened all the linens. We couldn’t use the washer because there was a flood in the laundry room. There are resident dogs. Don’t be alarmed. They are adorable, but scratch a lot which make you think they may have fleas. One local pup came every night and slept on the lounger. The lounger had dirt on it from the dog so we never used it during our stay. We would shoo the dog away, but she always returned. There is a safe for each room for your belongings. We felt completely safe and had no concerns for our safety.

We enjoyed this three bedroom home with its wonderful views and quiet location. We fell in love with the Spring area. Even though you feel miles from everywhere you are only minutes from town with access to great beaches, lovely restaurants and resorts. We loved Bequia. A magnificent island with great people, food, nature and charm.

Bellevue Terrasse lived up to every aspect of its description. This rather new addition to the Bequia list of available properties is right in style - majestically situated among sparsely populated but lovely homes in perhaps the quietest place on the island. We opened the doors to the trade winds all day, and ran the air conditioner in the bedroom at night and enjoyed the best of both worlds. Though the phone system on the island is a bit quirky, our cell phones worked better than at home with connectivity everywhere. I even negotiated some of the far north terrain via Google Earth while we hiked. The owner boosted the internet speed during our visit to 3 mbps, totally acceptable even for trading US markets, but now has boosted it even more to 12 mbps. Trading stocks from Bequia – can life get any better? Both the owner and the local manager of the home were terrific from start to finish. Peter Kasper and is wife think their Bequia Paradise is for them to work on, and though they are missing some of the bliss they have created, they are sure making Bellevue Terrasse a spectacular place to visit. And the management team of Sabine and Nigel, part transplant from Europe and part local, are a phone call away and ready to answer every need and fix anything you happen to break – but don’t break much because we have already reserved our time to return in 2017! The entire team are all truly dedicated to making sure their visitors have a wonderful time. Oh yes, did I mention the beaches are beautiful and the water indescribably warm and welcoming? And the people of Bequia are the nicest folks we have ever come across. Fishing, boating, eating lobster – it all goes well with Bellevue Terrasse’s pool, cool breezes, and peaceful nights. Now being Americans, we just had to make some suggestions for appointments and the like, all minor, personal preferences. Not to our surprise, the owner has already seen to all of them, and a few more. We are truly staggered by the service and consideration. Can’t wait for the snow to fly again! All of this deserved praise has not been added until now, not until we had our 2017 reservation confirmed!. You cannot go wrong with Bellevue Terrasse.
