2026 Beach Update:

The City of Isle of Palms has approved a beach nourishment project expected to take place Summer–Fall 2026. While a final schedule has not yet been released, work is anticipated to move along the beach in sections, meaning any impact to a specific area is temporary.

Wewill share updates as more details become available and are happy to provide guidance based on your travel dates.

Description:

Welcome to one of the best oceanfront retreats in beautiful Wild Dunes on the Isle of Palms. This Charleston-inspired vacation home has plenty of charm with modern elegance in addition to 180 degree sweeping views of the Carolina coast, ocean and rolling dunes.

Enjoy the sounds of the surf and panoramic beach views from the spacious outdoor living room. Set up for both summer and winter living, this amazing space is incredibly inviting after spending the day playing in the waves or touring Historic Charleston.

The first level features an outstanding and handsomely equipped kitchen that is highlighted with all new appliances, cabinetry, and countertops. Adjacent to the chef’s kitchen is the dining area that seats six at the dining room table with additional seating for four at the bar. The classic coastal Charleston décor in the living room is not only beautiful, but comfortable. Oceanfront views can be enjoyed from the living room.

The Oceanfront Suite is located on the upper level. It features a king bed, private oceanfront deck, and en-suite bathroom with dual vanities and large walk-in shower. Bedroom two is on the upper level. It features a queen bed with a single vanity and bath-shower combination. Bedroom three is on the main floor and a king bed, workstation and a bathroom with a single vanity and large walk-in shower.

Beach Chairs and Umbrella:

The Isle of Palms Beach Chair Company will provide your family two classic wooden beach chairs and an umbrella when you stay seven nights (March– October). These are set up on the beach each morning for your family and removed each night by the crew at IOP Beach Chair Company.

Additional Amenities Include:

Ideally located, this beach house on the Isle of Palms is an easy drive to Sullivan’s Island, Mount Pleasant and Historic Charleston. Sullivan’s Island (7 miles) features Fort Moultrie and wonderful dining options along Middle Street. In Mount Pleasant (8 miles), your family will want to visit Boone Hall Plantation with its avenue of oaks, the USS Yorktown, Town Center shopping and the restaurants lining the shrimp docks on Shem Creek. Finally, Historic Charleston (17 miles) is the number one tourism destination in the United States and offers some of the world’s finest restaurants, galleries, historic homes and gardens.

Things to note:

Wild Dunes does not have a central resort pool for all visitors. Most neighborhoods and villa communities have their own private pool for guests staying in that specific area. Please note that the pools at the Hyatt Boardwalk Inn, Sweetgrass Inn, and the Sweetgrass Fitness Center are reserved exclusively for Hyatt hotel guests and are not available to vacation rental guests.

The Beach Club Villa Community Pool is open Seasonally: (April 1st - October 31st)

The Wild Dunes Community has a strict no pet policy for non-residents. Pets are not allowed within the gates of the community.

    This unit met our expectation, which is usually a bit elevated. We cannot say enough, good things about the owner who communicated with us directly on several occasions. In particular, on our first day, we received 5 inches of rain. He took the time to reach out to us, proactively to give us tips on how to navigate off the property without sitting in traffic where roads were flooded and or closed by local police. He was more than gracious.
