Stayed Nov 21, 2025First and foremost. Cora, Johnny and their crew were amazing!!! They made sure everything was set for us. Cora was exceptional every time I had a question or concern and she was right on top of all issues. And Jorge was there every day cleaning the pool and making sure everything was looked after at the house when we had said issues. Johnny and Victor are wonderful with all the excursions. They all are top notch and very caring individuals. We had a few concerns regarding the brown/black power outages which took the air conditioning out but we just made the best of it and went exploring or sat in the pool.Definitely bring baby oil along with the best Deet bug spray you can find. The sand fleas and biting flies are horrible. Even when sitting by the pool you must lather up. The house is beautiful but could use a larger water heater. With 8 adults we battled for a hot shower and most of the time it was cold. It also would be great to have a couple extra bath towels for guests staying more than 7 days. Also the roads are crazy bad from town to the house. It took forever to drive around and through all the pot holes. But it is an island, not everything is like it is on the main land. All in all this was a great vacation. Just a few issues didn’t ruin our good time.

Stayed Nov 13, 2025My family of 12 all meet there and had a blast. Clean spacious house with plenty of privacy for the family. every bdrm had bthrm, perfect. roads are terrible from all the rain but it didnt stop us from having fun. You are in the tropics, expect bugs! ants, sand fleas, mosquitoes and cockroaches. if these bug you, go north to a cold climate. Caretaker and host, the best people around. Johnny excursion, unbelizable fun!

Stayed Nov 2, 2025We had a wonderful time. There were 8 adults and there was plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. Cora was wonderful to work with while at the house and arranging our golf carts, and excursions. The pool is amazing. Bigger than some resort pools. Wonderful gas stove inside as well. The house is south on the island so you have to take little golf ride to get to things but we loved driving them. We explored the whole island on the golf carts. We throughly enjoyed our stay at the property.

Stayed Oct 14, 2025The host was great. The mosquitos were terrible. Quite a few things in the house did not work. Most fans in the rooms didn't work. The outside fan didn't work, and we needed that one desperately for the mosquitos. House needs a deep clean for walls and showers. Maybe spray for mosquitos. We bought TIKI torches to try to enjoy the outside but nothing helped. Deep woods spray didnt help either. Long bumpy road to town on the golf carts.

Stayed Jul 26, 2025The Hibiscus House Villa was perfect for our large family. Beautiful beach front property with stand up paddle boards and kayaks readily available. The hosts and on site property managers were amazing and helped us with any questions. Johnny was available at any time to take us on the boat for an ocean adventure and was so helpful especially with making it an amazing trip for the kids! It was a fantastic family vacation that we will always remember!

Stayed Jul 9, 2025Unfortunately, our experience did not align with the listing description or expectations. The listing advertised a private beach, which was a key factor in our booking decision. However, it was not usable. Flooding and Storm issues. The property flooded due to a thunderstorm, and we did our best to clean up the water using the available towels. This was unexpected and a significant inconvenience. I contacted the host and they did send someone over to take care of the matter. Sanitation concerns we encountered bedbugs ina couple of the beds, which caused considerable discomfort and concern for health and hygiene. Security we were not provided with keys to secure the property, leaving us unable to lock it properly when we left. We had two Correctional Officers on this stay, they were truly unhappy about the security of the home. Property conditions the picture of the house looks amazing, however outside of the pictures not the best. Maintenance Issues. Several bathroom lights did not function during our stay, one of the upstairs bathroom has a leak. We put a towel around it to not hear the leaking, adding to the inconvenience. Towel incident at checkout, we were told a towel was missing. We had to use towels to manage the flooding, which should have been taken into account. On-site host on day of arrival one of the host welcomed us to the property, the host did not walk us through the home, I asked for the keys to the property and that’s when we found out the house had no keys.

Stayed Jun 18, 2025Our book club was excited about our stay in Belize and especially about staying in this house that looked so appealing from the photos. Upon arriving, we were met with what appeared to be a construction site. The property manager was there to show us around, we said that this house is still under construction, she denied that, as if our eyes were deceiving us. She went on to tell us that in this 5 bedroom house there was no washer and dryer and that if we needed laundry service, it would cost 20 per load. The house has potential (but definitely needs a laundry room) but it just is not ready to be available for rent. A couple of days into our stay there was a thunderstorm. We woke up to flooding in every bedroom, the stairwell, game room and hallways. Chandelier was leaking water on the stairs even when the rain stopped, making it extremely dangerous. There was a balcony upstairs that had no lighting, just wires hanging from the ceiling the entire way across. There was scaffolding and big tarps on the house and some bedrooms had plastic on the windows that was splattered in paint. We were also given 1 bath towel each for a 5 night stay and 1 beach towel each and at the end of the stay, the property manager counted all the towels. I have never seen such a thing. We were also told that there were no keys (the front door wasn’t accessible because they were still working on the front porch and there were workers there our ENTIRE stay) so we could not lock up when we left.

Stayed Jun 11, 2025We loved this house. It was further south than we expected so it took a while to get into town. The back deck of the house was still under construction. Mosquitos were fierce especially when it rained

Stayed May 25, 2025The pool is the highlight of this property. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious. And the kitchen is great. The property managers, Cora and Johnny are fantastic. The downsides are that the house is still under construction, the stairs are very steep, there is a lot of smelly sorgassum that accumulates in front, and the house is a long cart ride from anything.

Stayed Mar 4, 2025Ten of us stayed at Hibiscus House the first week in March and it was incredible! The house was beautiful; the pictures don’t do it justice. The pool was amazing, it is like the house was built around the pool. Most of the time we were in the pool or hanging out by the pool. We had 10 people and the house seemed spacious for our group. The living room upstairs is perfect for the evenings and for viewing the sunsets over the ocean.. Down side is it's a little far away from town, and there was a bit of construction on the backside of the house still going on for the first 1/2 of our stay. But the house is very private which we thought outweighed the distance from town. We will definitely be returning to Hibiscus House, hopefully sooner than later!
