Lovely, Privacy, Relaxing, Overlooking Natural Protected Area, Close to Beaches

The villa was perfect in every way. Its in a beautiful setting with gorgeous views and feels really private and secluded even though you're only a few minutes drive away from amenities. There's loads of outdoor space and a huge infinity pool which was a big hit with the kids. Inside the villa is really spacious, spotlessly clean and well equipped. The location of the villa is fantastic - Armacao de Pera and the beautiful beaches of Praia Grande are within easy access but its also a great base for exploring the rest of the Algarve. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend.

This villa gave us everything we needed for our holiday. It is absolutely lovely, especially the gorgeous infinity pool, which was plenty big enough for our family of 9. The bedrooms were great with really comfortable beds. The living area was spacious and the gardens are beautiful. The location is great, down a quiet street which means it isnt overlooked at all - it looks over a quiet valley. The villa was really clean and everything was dealt with smoothly - Baltazar is easily contactible and communicated everything we needed to know before we arrived. The village of Porches nearby is truly a hidden gem, away from the tourist crowds but with some wonderful restaurants. It is possible to walk to Porches from the villa and there are plenty of other towns within driving distance. The only thing to say about the villa is the kitchen is quite small so be aware if you are planning to cook. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay and would return in a heartbeat difficultnearstreetsarfantadtic.

We’ve been travelling to the Algarve for nearly 10 years and have stayed at a lot of different properties. We booked Villa Garbe last minute after another villa owner let us down with just one weeks notice and despite the panic, it turned out to be the best thing that could have happened. The villa is stunning! It’s in the most fantastic location, and in our opinion close to the best beaches in Portugal around the Lagoa district. It’s so peaceful, no noisy dogs, music and on a quiet resendential street away from the main road. If you’re looking for peace and quiet this is for you. The grounds are very big and picturesque with a large, deep infinity pool that was very clean. Every window looks out over the hills and out to sea in the distance. The whole place is spotlessly clean, very well equipped and had a great living area and comfy bedrooms. We were welcomed with a lovely welcome basket from Baltazar and when we had a small issue he kindly arranged for it to be fixed straight away. Thank you. Overall, an amazing holiday in an amazing villa. We will be saving up to come again!

So - this was a pretty late booking and we were getting a bit panicky!! We being 2 grandparents in our 70's, son and daughter in law (late 30's) and children aged just 3 and 6. We had holidayed in Portuguese villas together several times previously and wanted something comfortable , spacious and tranquil - we were not disappointed. The villa is lovely and I need to say the photos do not convey how stunning is the location - it is exceptionally peaceful and for the entire holiday we were on our own and totally undisturbed with views of the countryside across the huge pool (what a bonus). We decided to risk not hiring a car as we would have needed an estate or similar so we used Uber exclusively - trips to the supermarket were 5 Euros return and only slightly more to reach golf courses (Dad and Grandad) and beaches/water parks (the whole family). The gamble was a huge success saving us literally hundreds of Euros over the 2 weeks. As everyone on the reviews has already said the area lacks for nothing in shops, beaches, entertainment and restaurants at significantly lower prices than more vaunted areas in this brilliant part of Portugal. We really had a fabulous 2 weeks and then there is Balthazar who looked after us royally . If you don't believe he can be as amazingly efficient as everyone else has said then think again. We were only sorry we never got to meet him in person - a top guy. We are still buzzing - if you get the chance book it. You will love it. We did.

We have been renting villas all over the Algarve for 20 years and this is the best one. We wanted a private, quiet location within a short drive from shops, restaurants and bars. We wanted a good sized swimming pool, a comfortable bed and decent air conditioning. We got all of that at Villa Garbe. The kitchen was very well equipped. It is a great base from which to explore the surrouding area by car, and an Uber into Armacao de Pera was just 5 euro. Finally I would like to thank our host Baltazar. He responded to our small queries quickly and positively. We will definitely return here in the future.

Amazing house, amazing facilities. Amazing host.

We had a wonderful three weeks in Villa Garbe. The villa had everything we needed including poolside lounges and comfort bean bags. The pool was great for the children. The large outdoor table and substantial BBQ meant we could enjoy alfresco dining or do a short walk to porches for an evening meal. Baltazar, our host, was really helpful and responded quickly to queries. A fabulous holiday for friends and family.

We are 2 families who holiday together every year. Villa Garbe was perfect for the age range of kids/young adults from 11-18 as well as us adults. The pool was the highlight, just beautiful and kept the kids and adults alike amused for hours. The villa was clean and functional and it was lovely that everyone’s bedroom had its own patio doors onto the garden. Close enough to walk to Porches, the nearest town and a short cab ride to the beach so great location. Can’t recommend it highly enough.
