The property manager met us and explained how everything worked in the house. 2 stories, with all the amenities expected of such property. We paid the extra fees to heat the pool during our stay, which was totally worth it. Everything worked well. We walked into Calheta for dinner. Madeira is not a large island, so nothing was too far away from our house in terms of driving distance. Highly recommend!

Excellent location for a quiet laidback vacation. Within an hour of just about anywhere on the island. Great restaurants and market within minutes.

The house is located within a large banana plantation, so it is very secluded, and the terraced property with pool is a feast for your eyes. The home itself is extremely well appointed, with anything one would need to start out on a Madeira. There is a grocery store, and the port city of Calheta, a two minute drive on the same road as the house. I cannot say enough of the house representitive Gabriel. He was such a joy to have, very full of info on the house and the island, showing us all the amenities, and giving great insight and recommendations. Thank you Rui for sharing your palace on the sea.

This was the best stay I’ve had anywhere. The property is absolutely beautiful; placed right in a banana plantation with lots of privacy without taking away from the breathe taking views of the island. The location is very peaceful and quiet but you can walk 5-10 minutes down the road to the hotel that offers beach beds, rooftop bar and beach bar to the public. Grocery store is a 5 minute drive away too! If you wanted to do any of the levada hikes we found that the house was very centrally located to most of them! Check in and check out was very smooth and Rui was a pleasure to deal with and took care of everything we needed. Would love to come back and would recommend to anyone whose interested in visiting the island!

This was our third trip to Madeira and we stayed in different houses. I can say with certainty that the location of the house here is unique. The house itself is simple, but equipped with everything. On the upper floor there are two rooms with sea views. The third and smaller room is located to the side. On the ground floor you have view of the pool and the sea. The path from the parking lot to the house is a bit narrow, steep stairs (but doable), banana palms on the left and right, roosters and chickens that greet you :-) Wonderful. The location is very quiet. Very nice pool with sea views. Large terrace, practically over the sea. Great view. What can I say, view, view, view and 100% RELAX!
