Located at an only 10-minute car trip away, Calheta has, also, to offer you, Spa treatments within two of its main hotels, plenty restaurants (for example, at the marina, too) and a (main) supermarket. Casa das Mudas international art gallery, with its award-winning contemporary architecture, is also a main attraction and feature of the village. For the more adventurous ones, dare to paraglide from the top of Calheta’s main cliffs. Besides that, Prazeres village, with its small but fun and children friendly zoo, is also a must. Its 300-year-old church and its fresh tea herb houses and gardens are at a 15-minutes car drive away and, of course, the famous levada walks, that need no introductions, are readily available throughout the region. As an example, the beautiful Rabaçal levada walk, with its natural beauty and record waterfall numbers, sits at Calheta’s main mountaintops and, from there, you can have a glance at both sides of the island at the same time – simply, a mesmerizing experience!brJust west of Calheta, Jardim do Mar (literally translated to “Sea garden”) and Paúl do Mar, are also two mandatory stopping places on an eventual trip to Calheta’s surroundings. The other sides of the apartments are surrounded by gardens. The room layout on the ground floor with living area, terrace and open kitchen area is ideal. A generous free-standing staircase opens up the upper floor with the sleeping and bathing area with mini-spa. Everything is high-quality and modern, but at the same time comfortable and elaborate executed. Ideally, 2 adults will find an oasis to feel good and relax, should a further space be needed, a full guest bed can be put up.brbrCasa Nenufar, which means as much as water lily, is the middle of the 3 holiday homes. Instead, we decided to take a symbiosis of modern architecture and preserve the characteristic features of the old house. This would not be easy, but the first reviews of our guests show us that we are on the right track. brbrThis is how two modern, but at the same time comfortably and elaborately executed apartments, Villa Rosa on the ground, Villa Palmeira on the floor. Both have their own separate entrance and in the living area the original walls of archaic basalt are integrated into modern architecture. brbrVilla Rosa on the ground floor is the only apartment in the complex with 2 separate bedrooms and bathrooms, in front of the house a spacious, traditional patio invites you to linger. All in all, Villa Rosa is ideal for 2 couples or a family with 2 children. brbrVilla Palmeira on the upper floor has a bedroom for 2 people and a spacious terrace with spectacular views of the sea and pool area. brbrAll 5 houses have the thoughtful and spacious facilities as well as the spectacular sea view, the 5 units are grouped around the well-kept pool. A large free space with space for resting places, a cozy barbecue and the spacious pool invite you to relax and relax.
