Generously sized family villa set in mature garden

We've visited Lalkan on many occasions so location was not an issue. The house exceeded our expectations with the pool size a bonus. Roof terrace was a joy in the evenings. I'd have no hesitation in rebooting

We were delighted we chose Kalkan and Mavi Ev for this year's family holiday. The villa had loads of space - I don't think we once used the lounge because we spent all of our time downstairs around the pool - and had a really nice welcoming feel. Unlike many of the other nearby villas, Mavi Ev has a decent sized outside area with mature olive and lime trees so it was a great place to relax and enjoy alfresco dining. The property exudes a homeliness with personal touches that maybe some of the neighbouring villas lack. Simon, the owner, and Mehmet, the manager, were on hand to assist and offer advice and we were really pleased to be able to check in early on the first day and out late on the last day which, effectively, gave us two additional days holiday. Kalkan's fantastic. The town centre's full of life and while adapted to a range of overseas visitors retains a sense of authentic Turkey. Just beware the villas are built on a steep hillside, so while the walk from Mavi Ev to the shops and restaurants is fine going down you might want to budget 150tl (£4ish) for a taxi back home!

We're regular visitors to Kalkan over many years so I am reviewing with true experience and local knowledge. From my initial enquiry to our arrival all very well considered, efficient, helpful and welcoming. Mavi Ev is a beautiful villa, immaculately presented, everything has been well considered to ensure you have all that you need for a wonderful and very comfortable stay. A warm welcome from Mehmet, who is on hand should you need any local support or needs. Villa pool is fab and gardens are pretty and established. Kalkan and sea views are just lovely to wake up to - for me a must on my holiday. Yes, there is a 10-15 minute down hill walk into town however,, you benefit from having the wonderful views and the taxi home (should you choose not to walk) is really very easy and inexpensive.
