Stayed Apr 7, 2024The primary reason to stay in this casita is the location and the stunning views. The garden is beautiful with a path that opens to La Playa Negra. The beach is quiet and private and absolutely breathtaking. We were able to spot the sloth in the garden on a few occasions and had an up close view of him moving once which was very special. As previously mentioned in reviews, there was a bottle of wine and chocolate waiting for us. We were met to check in and get acclimated to the environment. Great recommendations for food was provided. There’s really no bad place to eat in Puerto Viejo. We always felt safe on the property and in town. Everyone was so friendly and engaging. The property management team was extremely responsive to all requests (especially Shevonne) and often anticipated our needs. We greatly appreciated the cleaning services provided by Nancy, and the special touches that showed she cared. We were there for 3 weeks, and it was an unbelievable and memorable experience!

Stayed Jun 18, 2022We really enjoyed our stay here. The only thing I would say that needs to be addressed is the door slams every time it closes. Also the bedding, around the cement slab from the kitchen to the yard, there is a gap and my girlfriend twisted her ankle stepping down to go to the beach so we never actually made it down to the water.

Stayed Mar 28, 2022Great experience. Open air kitchen & bedroom w A/C worked well. Had a water leak first night it rained but that was just a miscommunication & taken care of. Only disappointment was we thought there was a 2nd story balcony from the listing photos but that was a separate apartment so no ocean view. Our mistake for not checking. I’d stay again

Stayed Feb 24, 2022This place was an awesome find. Stayed for two nights. The outside kitchen was great. Steps from the beach! If I could give this place ) stars I would. Only complaint was the bed wasn’t the most comfortable but it did the job.

Stayed Feb 26, 2022Great place to stay, we would do it again. Very clean and friendly. As promised only 50m to the beach and just a walk through the garden. The beach was quiet, the black sand was hot as expected. Close to town, we rented bikes at Banana Azul and rode those most of the time but also had a rental car to explore the area.

Stayed Jan 24, 2022Great place on the beach. Super relaxing, will be staying here again. Only request is that my gf said she wished there was an actual full length mirror so she could see to get ready lol. Other than that, super great and really great staff.

Stayed Sep 18, 2021We had a wonderful stay. The outdoor kitchen/dining/living space was perfect for our needs. Easy access to the beach but beware the black sand gets HOT so wear shoes.

Stayed Sep 7, 2021This little villa was perfect for our one week honeymoon. Very clean space, nice bathroom and shower, the bed is comfy, and the AC cranks (which we definitely utilized after the long hot days in the sun!). Perfect outdoor mini kitchen set up with all the necessities although we mostly ate at the local restaurants. I definitely recommend downloading WhatsApp if you don't already have it prior to your trip. You can add the property as a contact and message them anytime if you have questions. They are quick to respond and very helpful. Also, Jocelyn lives on site and she is incredibly friendly, funny, and helpful. We really enjoyed meeting her and chatting with her. They also gifted us chocolate and wine when we checked in! The villas are literally steps away from the beautiful Playa Negra black sand beach. The property is gorgeously maintained with incredible landscaping. There is a tall fence around the entire property and gates on both the beach side and street side that you get codes to come and go through as you please. The beach side gate stays open all day but they close it before sundown. There is also three kitties that live on the property that we made friends with, they are so sweet. We did not rent a car, we opted to walk to town (an easy 15 minute walk) or take a tuk tuk if we didn't feel like walking which ended up being about 4 US dollars one way. Not to shabby. There is also a grocery store at the end of the street, only about a 3 minute walk from the villas. I can't recommend the Villas Serenidad enough, they have the perfect quiet, beach location while also being close to town and all the happenings. Thanks again for your hospitality! Five stars!
