Stayed Jan 1, 2025Casa da'vida was a great place to stay during our time in Costa Rica. The beach was beautiful and in walking distance. The place was clean and had everything you needed.

Stayed Mar 16, 2024We stayed for a month in March/April. Pros: The house is as pictured- I recommend watching House Hunter episode. Nearly everything was provided, & basic starter supplies were included (4 TP, 4 dishwashing tabs, dish soap, etc). We paid $40 for a housekeeper, & she refilled the shampoo, soap, and dish soap. House has some beach/pool toys, towels, a small cooler, broom and dustpan, too. Nice to have. Management company is proactive & helpful, providing a grocery service @ a 20% charge. It was nice to have groceries waiting! Resort shuttles run often to/from beach & hotel. The resort provides a number of blue /white beach lounges w/ good availability. Beach has nice trees for shade & was clean & the ocean warm and clear, & also pretty calm. Nice landscaping, clean property. Wildlife in the area. Iguanas, monkeys, hummingbirds, *raccoons & skunks. Trash pick up daily by 4 PM at foot of steps. Sm. spigot near steps to remove sand from feet. Cons: Little privacy with houses side by side (+/-15'). Somewhat noisy in evenings with music, loudspeakers, etc. eminating from pool/activities directly above the house until quiet hours begin. The house is fairly well equipped but could use more kitchen tools, such as a wire whisk, scraper spatulas, a grater, etc. Raccoons jump on roof nearly every night, several x/night, fighting/playing & woke us up despite our white noise. Skunks also freely roam property. A/C brings scent inside. ALL open food must go in fridge- Tiny ants!

Stayed Jan 1, 2024The Villa was beautiful, with a well stocked kitchen for cooking. Loved our plunge pool as it was about 37 degrees with the humidex. Would recommend a car, as there aren't alot of restaurants, and one small grocery store in Hermosa. We were not impressed with the resort, Villa Sol. The large pool with swim up bar was filthy the entire month we were there. First time in, experienced a rash. About 40% of the loungers at the pool had broken backs on them. The small pool at the top of the mountain near the hotel lobby was nice, but maybe had 8 lounges, always occupied. The buffet (which we paid for) was passable. Had difficulty finding food I liked. Beach access is owned by another all-inclusive, so beach chairs are only for their guests. At least there was a shuttle, otherwise the constant walking up and down steep hills is not the way I want to spend my vacation.

Stayed Dec 17, 2022We just returned from our stay at Casa D'avida. For two weeks over Christmas my 82 yr. old parents and our 23 yr. old son & GF joined us so there were 6 of us in the villa. The location is perfect for day trips to the nearby national parks and we had rented a vehicle to use which we safely parked in the resort every night. We made family meals together, shopped for food & supplies in Playa Hermosa and Playas del Coco nearby. While we enjoyed walking to the beach, and down the beach to the other end, my parents took the resort shuttle so they didn't have to climb the hills in the heat. The shuttle service was frequent and the drivers are very kind. We enjoyed the resort pools but mainly the Villa plunge pool - which is great for cooling off and relaxing. During our time we were in touch with the property manager, Sebastian, who was quick to respond and act on our requests. Since we were there for an extended time, he also helped us secure a cleaning person, Carmen, who was excellent. After our family departed, we spent time relaxing and enjoying the resort which always seemed to have live music available, and activities, if you choose to participate. The AC worked well and the wi-fi connection was strong. Overall we enjoyed our time there and would highly recommend the Villa. Thanks for the fun!

Stayed Mar 20, 2022Stayed here March of 2022 with family of 4. The Villa was clean, well equipped, and everything worked great. Bernie was amazing with communication especially when I had questions on the first day. The front porch was great for morning coffee and evening sunsets.
