Spectacular Ocean View Home Private Pool with Swim Up bar and Jacuzzi i

We thoroughly enjoyed this rental. Our group of 11 ranged from18m to 52. It has many luxury features that set it apart. The entire home is tastefully decorated- it looks exactly like the photos. Not exactly baby/toddler friendly- but we managed (by staying on alert for breakables) It has a striking view overlooking the ocean from up in the hillsides. The neighborhood is a very nice/ safe area with VERY steep hills. You don’t need 4w drive but I would not want to walk it with young kids. We ended up driving our crew down to the beach each day. The pool at the house is on the small side- but great for cooling off and for the kids to play in. There is also a larger neighborhood pool, but we did not use it. One of the king bedrooms is separated from the house- can be accessed by walking along the pool deck. The kitchen is well stocked- so you can prepare meals if you like. The house has several nice small appliances- ie vitamix blender, toaster, microwave that set it apart from other Costa Rica rentals that I have seen. There were a few maintenance things that needed to be addressed: specifically the half bath in the hallway was leaking water from the toilet when we arrived. The host turned the water off to it and locked the door to that room so we wouldn’t use it. They did not return to fix it while we were there. In addition- there is a dishwasher- but it did not seem to be working- dishes never got clean even after running it numerous times. We finally resorted to hand washing everything. I messaged the host about it after our second day, but it was not repaired while we were there. Nearby- playa Hermosa is a quiet “local” beach. It did not have the bustling feel of other areas (Coco, tamarindo). The water is very calm- hardly a wave to be seen within the cove. The sand is light brown. Many shade trees along the shore. We were surprised that the water was very muddy looking. Not clear at all. The locals told me that it’s not normally like that- I guess a tide had changed and made the water murky. Anyway- the children didn’t see to mind- it just wasn’t the clear blue water I had expected. There are numerous nearby restaurants (sodas and more fancy). Also there is a nearby grocery that has everything you might need. On the whole, it was a great trip. We ended up driving over to Tamarindo beach (1.25 hours) a couple times because the older kids wanted to surf and wanted to be near more activity.

The house was very clean, PLENTY of clean linens and towels, beautifully decorated and well-kept. It also has a nice large outdoor space for gathering. We had everything we needed there: beach chairs, beach towels, spices, & sauces, toilet paper, paper towel, dish soap, etc. Although some of these things are probably a hit and miss deal from previous renters. The only reason for the 4 star was bc the jacuzzi was not warm and the switch was broken. They had it on a timer to come on at night but we would have enjoyed it after hiking! All in all a beautiful home, very friendly staff, and I’m glad I chose this one to rent!!

I was born in Costa Rica but moved to the US when I was 7. I finally am able to return so I decided to bring my friends to meet beautiful Tiquicia. The location of the house was perfect, not only because it was in a gated community so we felt safe but the views - any where you were in the house you had a beautiful view of the ocean. The house was spacious and accommodated our group of 6. We were also located close to a few private beaches and only a 10 min drive from Playa Coco and 1 Hr from Tamarindo. Frazer (concierge) contacted me prior to check-in to make accommodations for our arrival. Which was perfect because we were able to check-in early and make the most of our day. He also had a ton of recommendations for night life or restaurants. He also helped us with getting our COVID test prior to leaving. Communication with both Frazer during our stay and Laurie prior to check in had a quick turn around. The outside area was our favorite spot to hang out as there was a big table for card games and the pool was there. Ang again, can't forget the view of the ocean. We were all very pleased with this place. Hope to be back soon.

We stayed in this beautiful property for a few days at the end of our time in Costa Rica. The view was spectacular and the house was very comfortable for our family (three couples and three children). We had our own transportation, which was nice when we wanted to go to the beach or nearby stores or restaurants. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. It was a great place for us and we would definitely stay here, again!

Beautiful location, beautiful property.The property manager was easy to contact. Beds were comfortable and property was very clean and exactly as described. Would definitely go again with a group!

This home was top notch ! The amazing views of the ocean and the surrounding mountains are absolutely breathtaking . The pool and deck area was a perfect place to sit back and relax, the pool was spacious and it even had a jacuzzi area for the adults when the kids were busy splashing around . The outside bar was the perfect for our prepping our cocktails and appetizers ?The deck grill was awesome to have since we cooked at home a few nights, we even used it for breakfast. The inside of the home was beautiful from the spacious living area and bedrooms to the decor. The house provided us with everything we would have needed for vacation from kitchen utensils, and cookware to linens and towels . This house has it all there is no need to bring anything but your self. As far as dining and adventures , don’t worry everything you would want to is just a short drive away . Car services and taxis are easy to get if you don’t rent a car . The Hermosa Heights community itself has a bar/restaurant and movie ? cinema ( which the kids loved ) and that’s just short walk down the hill . We will definitely be back . This beautiful house in a gated community literally made our trip to this region. It is gorgeous, tastefully appointed, comfortable and comes with a delightful pool and a view of the ocean. It absolutely could not have been nicer. We are very grateful that our two families could share the house. There are 4 bedrooms, each with their own bathroom so we all had plenty of space and privacy. We cannot recommend this house and hosts highly enough for your vacation.

Living in this house for a week was almost like dying and going to heaven. Pristinely clean. Ocean views from every room. Private pool. Comfortable beds. Less than 5 minutes driving to the beach and restaurants. Honestly it is hard to find something about this house to criticize. Thank you Laurie for sharing your home with my friends and I. It made my 30th birthday the most unforgettable one to date!
