Stayed Jan 1, 2025Loved our month stay in Ajijic... the town is charming with warm and friendly people, and our stay at Mary's casita was comfortable with 2 bedrooms, a small kitchen, and access to laundry. We particularly loved the lovely courtyeard The location was excellent- within walking distance to good restaurants, the Wednesday morning market, pickleball courts, the main plaza , the Malacon....and the Chapala Society with all the activities they offer. Mary is a warm and friendly host-she obvioulsy loves what she does and is most accommodating to her guests.

Stayed Jun 22, 2024We really enjoyed our stay at Mary’s place! First, her and her dog, Charlie, are wonderful hosts. Second, the location can’t be beat. Third, the casita was very comfortable and had everything we needed. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay with Mary again.

Stayed May 9, 2024The property is within easy walking distance to the malecón, restaurants, shops and the Wednesday tianguis. The casita is comfortable and the well-equipped kitchen allows for meal preparation. Mary is a wonderful host who met me on arrival and helped me find my bearings in the area. She was always available to answer questions but never intrusive. I hope to stay here again the next time I'm in the area.

Stayed Jan 9, 2024My recent stay at this charming 2nd-floor casita in Ajijic was nothing short of magical. Nestled amidst lush tropical gardens, the property offered breathtaking panoramic views of the mountains and Lake Chapala. The spacious open-concept design, coupled with the tasteful Mexican-inspired decor, created an inviting and serene atmosphere. The casita was fully equipped with modern amenities, ensuring a comfortable and hassle-free stay. I especially loved the private patio, which was a perfect spot for enjoying enjoying the languid mornings. The highlight, however, was the mirador on the third floor, offering spectacular vistas that were simply unforgettable; a great place to catch the sun's rays as well as the perfect spot to catch the beautiful sunsets over Lake Chapala. Location-wise, it was ideally situated. Just a minute's walk from the Lake and a short stroll to Ajijic's vibrant plaza, I had easy access to local markets, cafes, and galleries. Just a short walk from La Bodega where they have open mics on Wednesday evenings; the host, Mary, was exceptionally gracious and helpful, making the stay even more enjoyable. Not only that, Mary and a few of the other people staying there came to see me perform at the open mic this past week. I felt like I had been adopted into a wonderful family! I brought my little dog Max Muppy who got to meet Mary's adorable dog Charlie. What a treat to have a place where my dog was so warmly welcomed! Will definitely be back!

Stayed Feb 1, 2022Mary's property was beautiful, well maintained, and comfortable. She has done a fabulous job of decorating and it really made the stay nice. The casita was well outfitted with anything we might need, including total privacy. She thought of everything. Mary was very helpful and available for any questions that we had. We can't say enough about what a great stay it was.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Just returned from a two week stay in Mary s second floor casita. It is a fabulous unit with tons of light in living room, and beautifully and artfully decorated. There are 2 other casitas which surround the stunning garden. Made friends with the other tenants. Excellent location. Close walk to malecon, plaza, restaurants, and grocery store. One caveat is the streets are cobblestone and many sidewalks are uneven so wear good shoes. Mary is an excellent host and couldn’t do enough for us. Took us wherever we needed to go and referred us to any resourced we needed Her little dog Charlie is the frosting on the cake, as is as the avocado tree ! Last but not least, we could drink the water and flush the toilet paper, a plus in Mexico . cannot wait to return!!

Stayed Apr 1, 2019We had a wonderful stay in Mary's casita on the second floor. She was a wonderful host and the amenities--the handy laundry, the free phone to the States--make her place really special. The location is perfect--near a fully stocked grocery store and easy bus to Chapala or a short walk to the Ajijic plaza, two blocks from the lake. We're planning a return trip and wouldn't stay any place else.
