Stayed Mar 21, 2023What's not to like? Well appointed unit exactly as advertised. Quiet, secure location within walking distance of shops, restaurants and local attractions. What a pleasure to return in the afternoon and just enjoy the fantastic Ajijic weather on the covered terrace outside the unit. A real plus is the charming host, Mary, who is a wealth of information about all things Ajijic. We also made a new friend with Charlie, the rescue dog who is just a bit spoiled. Will definitely stay there again.

Stayed Jan 28, 2023We visited Casa de los Siena’s for 2weeks and loved everything about it. Mary is a great host and her high standards were reflected in the details. Clean, comfortable and stylish! A gorgeous garden and lots of space to sit outside. Located close to the centre of Ajijic it’s a real gem!!

Stayed Mar 22, 2022We had a wonderful 3 week stay in Mary’s casita. The Casita was equipped with everything we needed and Mary was the perfect host ready with sightseeing and restaurant recommendations and also took us to the grocery store the day we arrived so we could buy some food staples. We would highly recommend this lovely hideaway walking distance to the lake, downtown and many restaurants. Mary’s sweet little dog Charlie was always there to greet us and had a wonderful personality.

Stayed Jan 11, 2020The casita we rented was everything we expected and more. It was well designed to give maximum comfort for the space. It was well appointed with all the appliances we required. Mary was the most amazing host always looking after our every need. This property was a short walk to restaurants and cultural activities. The bus which connects all communities around Lake Chapala was also a short walk making it easy to get to the Pickleball courts at the Montecarlo and to explore the whole area when we wanted to. We highly recommend!

Stayed Nov 28, 2019My husband and I stayed in Mary’s casita for 5 weeks. It was perfect for us. The casita is clean and has everything. If It is bright and cheerful. From the sliding door we look out to the beautiful garden with flowers and a water fountain. We went for walks daily. The location was perfect. It is an easy 15 minute walk to the Lake Chapala Society and the town square. The Wednesday market is very close. Yet when you are at May’s you feel like you are away from the village and into your own private garden area. Best of all Is our host, Mary. She went above and beyond to make sure we are comfortable and have everything we need. She is a perfect host, answering any questions. Thank you Mary for everything. We will be back to visit Ajijic and will definitely be staying here. Janice and LeRoy

Stayed Oct 29, 2019From the start, beginning with Mary’s warm welcome that included a trip to the local grocery store for me to pick up a few supplies to tide me over until the next day, to the well-equipped kitchen and comfy bed / furnishings and tasteful artwork and thoughtful touches throughout the casita, I knew I was going to be spoiled and enjoy every minute of my month-long stay, which of course, I did! Location was ideal - easy to walk everywhere you’d want to go in Ajijic, yet sufficiently removed from the noisier centre of town. Lazier days were spent enjoying the lovely garden complete with a variety of flowers, trees, butterflies, birds, including hummingbirds that would flit in and about, and even geckos that could be seen sunning themselves on the far wall behind the peaceful, soothing, water fountain. Work began on the mirador while I was there that will make it easier to access in future visits, although I was able to get up there a couple of times before that work began to take in the beautiful views of the lake and mountains. Staying at / with Mary felt like ‘being at home’. Welcoming, comfortable, safe and warm, Mary embodies the role of a ‘host’, as does her lovely little dog, Charlie, who would appear at my screen door most mornings looking longingly, hoping for a ‘cookie’ and a belly rub. Mary’s son, who was visiting during my stay, proves the saying, “The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree”, or in this case, the avocado doesn’t and, if you’re lucky, you can grab one off the lawn before the squirrel gets it to enjoy as your nightly appetizer! If I had ‘one concern’, it was Mary’s pre-emptive claim that she checks all suitcases as one leaves to ensure no one is trying to make off with Charlie! Sigh, bringing him home with me would have ‘completed’ my perfect stay!

Stayed Sep 3, 2019We rented the only remaining casita in this hacienda for our aniversery. It has 2 twin beds but the accommodations appeared lovely and inviting. No regrets! It was, it is! We happily give thumbs up in every area. We had a great time and may switch to twin beds back home...LOL!
