Stayed Dec 26, 2025We are giving a 2 star review and want to share a little about our experience. Upon arrival we noticed that the house was really lacking TLC and looked run down on the outside and was quite cold on the inside. The heat was set to 55 degrees and took quite a long time to warm up. It also seemed strange that there were no window coverings on the side windows and the front windows, so it felt like we were sitting in a fishbowl. The beds were quite uncomfortable for all of us, which made it hard to get a good night sleep. Very sad about that! We even tried to turn the bed 90.We were also disappointed that we had to conserve water because the septic alarm kept going off which made it awkward to tell one of the members they couldn't take a bath when they wanted to.Perhaps the worst experience of the week was when the lock to the front door broke and we were unable to get into the house. We did not have any of our stuff, we were still wet having just come from the local spa, we had wet hair and were looking forward to drying off and changing our clothes but It took over 2 and a half hours to resolve. While the house had some very nice features and we tried to make the best out of our vacation these things really put a damper on our stay.We were a party of 4 adults.

Stayed Jul 3, 2025Questionable white stains? On king size bedding upstairs. Lots of clumps of dog hair, mostly on kitchen and dinning room floors, stuck to the bottom of dining room chairs, and wheels on the popcorn popper. Other than that everything was great.

Stayed Aug 10, 2024The property was in great condition. It was secluded and private. There were lots of games and blankets. And the three herons and a gaggle of ducks were fun to watch. My family enjoyed being together without distractions.

Stayed Jul 27, 2024The house is lovely! Clean, bright, and quiet. We enjoyed watching herons, kingfishers, doves, and shore birds around the house. We also really enjoyed the games and puzzles. Great family location. The one downside was not being able to go in the bay… the kids were bummed by that. The coast is a short drive away, so we got our fill of salt water.

Stayed Apr 25, 2024Wonderful time away with lifelong friends! Enjoyed relaxing at the house, when not out and about. the house was comfortable and clean. We loved the open kitchen and dining area. It would have been nice to have additional seating in the living room, so all 6 in our group could be comfortable.

Stayed Feb 9, 2024The property was set up very well for families with young children and dogs and consideration was given to making sure the ouse was well equipped for both. Touches for the kids included a pop corn maker, gum ball machine, Pac Man, Foosball, saucer zip line swing, baby gates, high chair and board games galore. In addition to children dogs were also considered in the set up as the house came equipped with soft plush doggy bed, water dishes, kennels and doggy gates. Note: the house is located close to a busy road so dogs and kids need to be supervised especially when accessing the parking area. The view to the East is truly spectacular! We were lucky enough to have clear weather one morning to view a most amazing sunrise. However, the view was interesting even in the fog and rain with many types of birds visible from the comfort of the living room, kitchen and upstair rooms. Overall this was a great place to stay for families with kids, dogs and a love for a view of the outdoors.
