Stayed Sep 21, 2024This was a very clean, nice place. Could hear people in unit next to us due to thin walls. That was the only concern we had. We tried to be quiet since we could hear them. We didn't want to disturb them.

Stayed Sep 16, 2024Quiet area of the island. We enjoyed a lobster boat ride from the nearby marina. We also enjoyed the local ice cream shop. The drive to Bar Harbor and the main locations in Acadia National Park isn’t bad if you have a car. I would stay there again.

Stayed Nov 12, 2022This property was delightful. Ingrid was a delight to work with. The property is the northern 1/3 end unit of a 3 unit townhouse style condo, of which Ingrid owns the whole place plus a couple of other buildings on the property, so you're not dealing with a bunch of unknowns. Being just off the main road on Mt. Desert Island in November means about five cars per hour cruise by. In season it is an easy walk to several quaint little shops within a half mile. In November you can get into the local sports pub, where you can shoot a game of pool and watch a game, and the little grocery store. That's just about it. If quiet and peaceful are your gig, November on MDI is your trip! Each morning we opened the front blinds to see deer browsing on the vegetation five feet from the windows. One morning I nearly hit one when opening the storm door! There are two bathrooms, one up and one down. Queen bed upstairs, two twins down. Heat is radiant on first floor (which is weird if you aren't familiar) and upstairs is forced hot water. The downstairs shower will give you all the pressure you could ask for. First floor is accessible to wheelchairs. If you go, bring some general staples... milk, bread, breakfast stuff etc. You can get all meats, veg, etc. for cooking full dinners just up the road. The kitchen has all you'll need for any kind of cooking or dining. It’s a gravel driveway so bring your house slippers. You’ll thank me. Enjoy!

Stayed Sep 25, 2025Our three night stay in this villa was very pleasant. The hosts were very responsive to any questions that we had. The bathrooms and bedrooms were very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the quietness of the night as well as close-by restaurants for dinner. An added attraction was the deer that was outside our window and the small butterfly garden down the street. We definitely would recommend this property!

Stayed Jul 23, 2025We loved this townhouse! We are a family of 4 with 2 adult children. We did lots of hiking in Acadia and also swam at Ikes Point. The house was a fantastic base point! The kitchen was very clean and had everything we needed and having a washer/dryer was essential for our stay. We also liked that the house was set back from the road so we didn't hear the Main St. traffic. Ingrid's information about the house and the area was very detailed and helpful! Thank you!!!!

Stayed Jul 8, 2025Perfect for our needs…a mother/daughters girls trip. Great to have 2 bathrooms. We really enjoyed being in Southwest Harbor rather than the crowdedness of Bar Harbor. We walked into Southwest Harbor town for dinner and ice cream. The rental was well equipped. The only negatives: icemaker didn’t work, and there is an odd large window between the downstairs area and the upstairs bedroom which let in so much light very early in the morning (4:45). It would be good to have blinds on it. This was our favorite rental in our week long trip.

Stayed Jun 8, 2025The property was just what we needed. It was very clean and well appointed. About 20 minutes from Acadia and or Bar Harbor. If you cook, you’ll wanna bring your own knives. The twin beds were a bit soft. The queen bed upstairs was fabulous. Having laundry was very convenient and it worked like a charm They do not have cable so if you don’t have a streaming service, it’s pretty limited. There’s one TV downstairs. So the people in the downstairs bedroom always has to listen to the TV because there is not one upstairs. The location is fabulous and downtown Southwest harbor is very welcoming. Really nice coffee shop and restaurant.

Stayed Oct 15, 2024The property was reasonably priced, clean, and met our expectations. The complimentary wine was an unexpected treat after a long day of sightseeing. Small criticism would be the bedding could be upgraded.

Stayed Oct 2, 20244 nights, 5 days exploring Acadia NP. Staying in SW Harbor was perfect for us as it was a little removed from the busy Bar Harbor area but close enough that we could easily get there & enjoy it for the amount of time we wanted. Ingrids place was clean, convenient and all that it was portrayed to be on line.

Stayed Sep 24, 2024We had a great time at Acadia National Park. We mostly hiked the easy trails and one day used the Island Explorer to explore the area. Our stay at Western Mountain Townhouse was perfect! It had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, it was very clean and the location was great. We would definitely stay there again.
