Stayed Sep 17, 2025The house was clean and the kitchen was well equipped. We cooked most of our meals at the house. The beds were comfortable and there were many spaces to get away and have a little quiet time. The master bedroom and bath were very large with great closet space. The other two bedrooms had cute window seats. We were so busy hiking that we didn't make use of the ping pong and pool tables except for one night. The whole place was every bit as nice as it appeared on the website and exceeded our expectations!

Stayed Aug 1, 2025The Wawona house is a nice location. Inside Yosemite and about 1hour from the valley. The house has plenty of room! There are some downsidesThe house is showing its age. Furniture and lines could use updating. The biggest issue and the reason for my low review is we didn’t have a working dishwasher for our entire 4 night stay. We also couldn’t get the oven working for 2 of the nights. I called the management company. They finally told meI had to push really hard to get the oven on. Why wouldn’t they leave those instructions?! Why did it take multiple phone calls for them to tell me that? The dishwasher had a broken start button. Finally after our third night they had a repair person come take apart the front and manually start it. So we got one load of clean dishes. The rest of the time we hand washed. The last thing I want to do on vacation is hand wash dishes!I asked for a small amount of compensation and they denied it. So stay at your own risk!

Stayed Jul 5, 2025Wawona home was specious and well furnished. Kitchen had basic seasonings which was very helpful and plenty of pots and plates. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms very nice. There were two decks (we used only one) with table and chairs and there was a grill on one of them. Approach to the property was rathe steep and it might present an issue if coming in winter under snowy conditions. Unfortunately, dish washer was out of order all the time we were there. We contacted property manager the first day we arrived to let them know, but, although they were responsive in replying and acknowledging our messages, nothing was done to repair or replace the dishwasher. We were family of 5 cooking and eating at the house and it seems that we were constantly washing the dishes, drying them or putting them away since the drying rack was able to hold one-meal worth of dishes. Then, on our second night, we lost our AT&T service. We were totally cut off. Our cell phones that were able to send text messages up to that point, were out as was the landline phone. There was no internet or tv. We had to go to the local store in the morning and evening to connects to their internet in order to catch up with our work, and my daughter with her online classis. Service was restored after two days.In conclusion, we were happy with the accommodation and house itself but these couple of issues made our overall experience less enjoyable that it might have been.

Stayed Aug 11, 2023We enjoyed our stay at Wawona Home for 4 days in August! The weather was cool enough that the evenings were a comfortable temperature, with the fans provided, even with the home having no A/C. The woods were beautiful and the location inside Yosemite National Park was ideal. It took us about 30 minutes to get to Tunnel View. We made dinners every night in the well-stocked kitchen although we didn’t find a cheese grater until the third night. The beds were very comfortable. Maybe ask for the extra beds to be made before you come, as there were no sheets provided for the hide-a-bed and futon, but we made do with extra blankets and pillowcases found in the master bedroom closet. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are all updated and beautiful! There are tall ceilings in the family room, and seating for ten at the long dining room table. Our boys enjoyed the fuseball, ping pong, and pool tables and watching movies on the nice flat screen tv. The master bathroom mirrors were short and we had to bend down to see in them because we are tall people, but it was not a big problem. The showers were great and we really love the updated bathrooms! I would stay there again and I loved the Wawona Home!! Front sliding door and back door were unlocked when we arrived so we had to make sure to keep them closed and locked right. There are many books, to read about Yosemite, provided in the house. I really appreciated learning the history. Thank you for a special place to enjoy with family!

Stayed Jul 2, 2022We absolutely loved our stay at this house. We hiked to Chilnualna Falls almost every day. I love the little general store within walking distance. They even had a cute little Fourth of July parade through the village during our stay. 45 minutes to the valley and less than 10 minutes to Mariposa Grove. I will definitely be back. House was large and well appointed.
