Stayed Mar 25, 2025This home is so cozy. My family and I loved the cabin feel. The fireplace and hot tub were the perfect way to end our day of exploring Yosemite. The king size bed is very squeaky but other than that the place was perfect for our family vacation.

Stayed Aug 11, 2024Bear Crossing is a cozy house with lots of thought put into making guests feel comfortable. Upon arrival it was clean, welcoming, and easy to access. PROS: It is on a quiet Wawona neighborhood road. It was a nice hike to the swinging bridge and Chilnualna Falls from the home. I was very impressed with how well the kitchen was stocked. The best I have ever come across in all of the VRBO homes we have stayed in. CONS: The stairs in this home are quite steep. Our teenage kids even commented that the stairs scared them. The management company fell a bit short of our expectations. They were responsive when the water heater pilot went out twice, but they were unable to help when we realized there was no cable tv (DISH) available. Apparently roofers had been out working on the home recently and had disconnected the satellite dishes. We actually found them laying on the ground, under the deck. During our week long stay, there was no cable TV available. I understand we are in the mountains and there to enjoy nature, but my 82 year old mother had planned to watch the Olympics and other programs while we were out on adventures. This left her with little to do when we were away. The property manager stated we should get credit for no cable tv available. I reached out to Yosemite Scenic Wonders multiple times regarding a credit. They still have not responded or even apologized for the inconvenience or loss of amenity. We will be sure to stay in a Redwoods property next summer.

Stayed Apr 23, 2022I celebrated my birthday at Yosemite with a group of my girl friends and we stayed at this incredible cabin. Check in was easy, cabin was super clean and cozy. Loved the fireplace, kitchen and hot tub! So so nice! Beautiful Wawona hotel nearby you can eat dinner at. There’s a wonderful market nearby, gas station, you name it. And less than an hour drive from Yosemite. I would 100% stay at this cabin again and will recommend to all my family and friends. Thank you so much!

Stayed Feb 25, 2022My partner and I enjoyed the fully stocked kitchen, cozy living room, and hot tub. Only con was the small shower, but all the other great things about this property make that easy to overlook. We look forward to visiting again soon!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Despite day pass restrictions being in place getting in was super easy, they had my name at the gate. The place was beautiful and in great shape when we arrived. The dishwasher was broken but we were warned ahead of time and so far I've found that dishwashers in rental properties are just broken a lot, so not a big deal. It was hot and there is no a/c but the fans do a good job and we kept the windows and doors open as soon as it cooled down every night and never had a single insect try to get inside. The hot tub was clean and in great shape and after turning the temp down a bit was pretty nice even when it was warm out. The location was incredible, the real point I think, as we were able to do a number of things like go drive 5 minutes and swim in the Merced river several times during the trip that were unique to staying in a spot like this. We had young kids so we didn't do much in the way of longer hikes but even just walking down the roads of wawona was super fun.

Stayed Jun 27, 2021This cabin was an excellent place to stay as a base for exploring Yosmite. It had all the comforts and location was great. The only issue was there was no AC during the hottest time in a hundred years, but everything else was awesome. Having several trails right out your back door was really cool. Overall this cabin is definitely a must stay.
