Waterfront seclusion on the Ozello islands

I'm reluctant to leave an accurate review because I want to keep this place a secret. This was the best vacation rental I have ever stayed at. Well stocked convenient to everything and unlimited access to the outdoors. get in a kayak supplied by the owner, launch in the tidal creek on the property, and go fishing. Beautiful area of Florida. Easy communication and very clean.

The house was very cute, comfortable, and clean with all the amenities you could want. The porch was great for overlooking the view. Dropping in kayaks was easy and so great to be able to do right at the property. We had a great campfire on the last night. Very relaxing time. Oh, and we can't forget the local dog who visited daily! She is SUPER sweet and friendly and was a fun addition!

We loved the peacefulness of this place. It was what we needed. The neighbor’s dog was super friendly and so was the neighbor. We look forward to coming here again.

Beautiful secluded spot. We hoped to ride bikes more but the main road doesn’t have a sidewalk and can be a bit busy, however, we found some great trails and parks. Takes about 30 min to get anywhere because of how tucked away you are but that was also one of the best things about it. Awesome kayaking, decent fishing and I’m sure would be much better if we had been a few weeks earlier. Owners are absolutely wonderful and super helpful!!

The location was perfect, quiet and serene. The house was spacious, clean and having the use of Kayaks was a big plus. There’s a friendly dog “Honey”that visited us daily and being dog lovers we greatly enjoyed her company. There’s a good selection of restaurants in the Crystal River and Homosassa areas and lots of Manatees at Three Sisters Springs. We enjoyed our stay here and would definitely come back.

The home was perfect for my needs! Beautiful home on a beautiful property. The canal is right behind the house. The kayak launch is easy to use. You can't access the Gulf from the canal, so don't expect to bring a large boat right up to the property. There's no dock as the canal is pretty shallow. Fishing and crabbing is absolutely doable and I highly recommend this home for a relaxing trip for nature lovers!

Clean property, beautiful quiet location.

Nice and quiet. The house and surroundings were clean. Comfortable seating in living room. Nice to have use of utensils in kitchen for cooking. We would visit again!

Place was well cleaned upon arrival. This is our third visit here - we love the area. It’s in an off the grid type of location for Florida so yes no see-ums and other critters are out there. But I think over my time in Florida I’ve become immune to the no see-ums. Did some kayaking, fishing and enjoyed our holiday in Ozello and had some really beautiful weather. Look forward to a return trip.

Had a great stay, the house and area worked perfectly for our vacation, we were able to kayak all the beautiful springs within 2 hours of location and come back to a quiet and peaceful home.

The owner was quick to response to any issues, such as when the Netflix when off. The place is quiet and peaceful. We stayed a month, and I certainly wasn't ready to go home. We caught more fish than ever before and all kinds. They may not have been large but there was plenty. Going kayaking was heavenly, so much nature. The community of Ozello are so welcoming. Renters beware-this rental at Yurchin Point, Crystal River deserves one star. The neighborhood felt unsafe, the dishwasher was broken, the dryer door wouldn’t stay shut, and the refrigerator door kept popping open, ruining all our food. To top it off, the caretakers next door stared at us through their windows the entire time, giving us a really creepy feeling

Clean comfortable house had everything we needed. Quiet tranquil location.

A beautiful home, well organized with easy check in process. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals. Well stocked with linens and towels. Excellent water pressure and a wonderful laundry room. Great layout for family games and movie night. The best kept secret was stargazing. Truly dark skies. Easy trips to Crystal River and the Three Sister Springs. We had so much fun exploring the area and really appreciated the use of their cooler. The house is more beautiful than pictured. The Ozello Trail road was fun to drive and the area is stunning and untouched.

This property is as described. Very isolated, surrounded by nature. It was exactly what we wanted. Plenty of stores and restaurants within 15-20 minute drive as well as touristy things to do and beaches/springs to visit.Our dogs were very happy here, too!Everything you need, inside and outside, is provided. Just be sure to be prepared for mosquitoes and other water-loving summertime insects depending on the time of year you visit. Looking forward to staying again in the future!

We loved it here. Plenty of peace and quiet. Kayaking was easy and nature was abundant. A turtle came up in the yard and laid her eggs. I recommend eating at Blackwater Fins and The Crab Plant. Both have great seafood. If you go air boating do the Ozello Boats just up the road. The locals were all helpful and very nice. Peacocks all around.

We were down for some inshore fishing. Enjoyed the quiet evenings.

The stay at the Ozella house was wonderful. It was a very quiet place, and right in the middle of Crystal Springs.

We had an amazing time! The house was comfortable for our family of four. The views each morning were gorgeous! We'll definitely be back.

This property is away from it all. However, when we ventured out everyone was friendly. The on-site manager, Jennifer, was very welcoming and helpful. We had our 15 year old grandson and he would have liked to have more to do. He did kayak down the stream and saw a manatee, so that made it all worthwhile.

Morning coffee on the deck is heavenly. Comfortable home nicely decorated. There is still evidence of hurricane damage in the area but this property is fine. Two of three local restaurants are open and we enjoyed them both. (Backwater Finns and Pecks). Kayaking from the back yard was fun. Hosts are great - very responsive. Loved our stay!

The Ozello House offers a lot of privacy, being in cottage country, with many of the comforts of home. We appreciated being right on the water, with access to kayaks and a hammock. We enjoyed use of the fire pit, and watching the abundance of fish in the water and birds flying overhead.

Perfect gateway, peaceful, quite, just what I needed for a few days. I have family in the area and will definitely try to book again, thanks.

A great, spacious house in a serene, beautiful location. We loved our stay and exploring the Crystal River area. The property's very well equipped, truly a home from home, and enabled us to enjoy a very relaxing family break, plus the stars at night were simply amazing! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. Our family loved this location and amenities so much. The firepit, kayaks, decor, entertainment, and furnishings were great and we all wanted to stay longer. The owners gave very specific instructions and information, as well, and that was so helpful. They were also pet-friendly and we loved having our dog with us for our stay. Unfortunately I do feel the need to warn people that the second bedroom with one bed was an issue for us. We had our kids in the master (2 in one bed and 1 in the pull-out bed) and then my husband and I took the smaller bedroom with only one bed. This bed was incredibly squeaky and shaky with every movement, so we barely slept the entire time. The slightest movement from one would wake up the other, so it just didn't work for us. If there was just one person in the bed or maybe children who sleep through anything, it might have been fine. Other than that, it was just a wonderful place and we would love to stay there again.

Great location, house has everything you need. We enjoyed the location it was close to everything we wanted to do and quite and relaxing. The house were great with communication. We can’t wait to go back.

Great stilt house in a beautiful natural setting. The house was just as portrayed on VRBO. Very clean when we checked in with instructions on how to use everything in the house. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and everything else that we needed to cook and eat. We had never been to this area and there are a lots of really fun activities within 20 minutes of the house. We ended up scalloping one day and kayaking the other day and had a really good time exploring the area. The first story of the house a pretty high up off of the ground so you have great views of the surrounding area when sitting in the family room or the outside porch. The hosts were extremely responsive and helpful, including providing us with a heads up regarding possible flooding impacts in the area due to Tropical Storm Debby. We had planned to leave prior to the storm anyway but it we really appreicated the heads up from the hosts. The house itself as clean, airy, and well equipped both inside and out. We liked the area well enough to come back and would certainly consider booking the same house again. Thanks for a great trip Justin and Jenna.

Everything was as pictured. The host was super friendly and easy to communicate with. Truly a home away from home.

We totally enjoyed our stay! If you want to be away from hustle and bustle this is a place! Just beware you need a lot of bug sprays and you should be able climb multiple steps everytime you go out 😆 4 stars on cleaniness as carpets have a lot of stains, and we had to wash dishes before using as glasses had lips marks on them. Other than that we had an awesome time! THANKS 😊
