Stayed Aug 12, 2024Property was right on the water with a dock, picnic tables and chairs to sit outside. Brought kayaks which was fun, great sunsets! House was great too, plenary of room, two bathrooms and nice kitchen ( tricky refrigerator to open though). Location was safe, quiet and could walk to general store and farm stand. We really enjoyed our stay.

Stayed Feb 19, 2026This was a great place, perfect for our needs. It would be nice to have the TVs updated to modern smart units and the one in the main bedroom never would work. With this being said, we don't come to Vermont to watch TV, so it's nothing that would prevent me from booking this property again. We had a great time

Stayed Oct 8, 2025The outside of the house had the appearance of a pretty basic vacation cabin, but the inside was comfortable and well appointed. It had everything we needed. The one thing I would suggest would be a handheld shower in the bathroom off the master bedroom. That would make it more accessible for a handicapped person.

Stayed Sep 24, 2025We had a lovely stay at this waterfront property. There was plenty of room to spread out, a full kitchen for meal prep & great lakeside seating to enjoy the beautiful scenery. The location was convenient for easily exploring the island as well as those to the north and the south. Great rental!!

Stayed Sep 11, 2025This lakeside property worked well for our family vacation for six adults. While it's a drive to get anywhere (which we knew and we're fine with), we enjoyed the peaceful evenings around the campfire. The home itself needs a deep clean. There were cobwebs on the kitchen cabinets as if no one had been on the home recently. The ceiling fans also need a good clean. Otherwise, this home was as pictured in the listing. Nearby Heros Welcome was a great stop for us for breakfast sandwiches and we enjoyed baked goods from Bittersweet bakery in Grand Isle. Overall, we had a good stay and would recommend this property.

Stayed Aug 28, 2025My family and I spent about a week here and overall enjoyed our stay, but there are a few things future guests should know. The home felt more like a camp than a lake house and could have been cleaner, especially outside. The deck and porch were covered in cobwebs, bugs, and really needed a pressure wash. Inside, there were also cobwebs above the kitchen cabinets. Bedrooms and bathrooms were clean, but considering the cleaning fee, we expected better. The house was also full of flies with no swatter provided, so we bought our own supplies. Lighting was another issue—it’s very dark despite lots of windows, and a couple overhead lights flickered. More lamps or working bulbs would really help. Our biggest disappointment was the trees along the bank; they blocked most of the lake view from inside and the deck. Trimming them up would make a huge difference. On the positive side, the neighbors were wonderful—so kind and welcoming, even letting us use their dock and launch. The beds weren’t the most comfortable, but manageable. The location was peaceful and quiet, and the owner and guest contact were friendly, though response times could have been quicker. Overall, we had a nice trip, but for the price, the cleanliness, lighting, and view issues left us unsure if we’d stay here again.

Stayed Aug 9, 2025The house itself was very nice. Sarah who managed the place was super. Our disappointment was that we couldn’t swim in the lake in front of the camp. It was all seaweed in the bay. We drove to the Alburg Dunes beach , which was very nice.

Stayed Aug 13, 2025We were very excited to be staying right on the lake so we could swim from the house. Unfortunately, the lake is about a foot low right now, so the water from the house was inaccessible due to mud and weeds. We were SORELY disappointed. (And surprised). But the house and location are great, and we enjoyed sitting by the water throughout the day, and some beautiful sunsets. We discovered that Alburgh Dunes State Park (not too far away) has a wonderful beach and has nice soft sand for getting in the water. The house had everything we needed, including Wi-Fi (though my iPhone wouldn’t access it as it’s not a secured connection). It was very well furnished with lots of light as well as multiple places to spread out. The screened in porch was an added bonus.

Stayed Jul 13, 2025Based on many of the reviews, we had high expectations for this place. The location was ideal, we had our own boat launch and dock and room enough for the family.Upon arrival we discovered that the keypad to unlock the door was a bit finicky. All week long it would double tap one of the numbers, not always the same one, and therefore the wrong code was entered and you had to start over. One time it took over 2 minutes to actually get it unlocked. There was a key available and it was in the lock when we arrived. Later we were given the code to the keybox so we could use the key if necessary, but the keypad should be in working order. When we entered, the place looked nice. However, most of the furniture is worn out. Sitting on the sofa or chairs meant sinking down and was somewhat uncomfortable. Even the bed mattresses were like this - just worn out.The other reviews mentioned cleanliness and we would say that this was generally true. However, the stove was covered with grease and needed to be cleaned and there was an empty chips bag under one of the beds. There were supposed to be remotes for all of the fans to allow one to control the fan and light separately. However, only one of the remotes actually worked that way, and we could only find one other remote which seemed to only control the fan speed. This wouldn't have been so bad but the pull chains were cut too short to reach so it was all or nothing. The dock was pulled all the way up on the ground when we arrived. We were told that we could roll it in the water or someone would be found to do it for us. As we wanted to get the jet skis in the water, we opted to roll it in, but it should have been in the water already. When we went to have our cookout, both the connected propane tank and the spare were empty. We called the management company, and they filled both of the tanks but our cookout day was over by then.We would really like to rate this place higher and are considering it for next year. If it had lived up to expectations, it would have been our first option but we will look at other options first because of these issues.

Stayed Jul 20, 2025This placed checked the box for everything we were looking for, on the water, dock for fishing, clean water for swimming, firepit, and hammock! The kitchen is very nice, and the table near all the windows with a view of the lake was a great for family games. The long yard away from the lake was a nice spot to play catch. Quiet area which was so relaxing, I enjoyed the slow ride on the gravel road to get to the house…engage relaxation

Stayed May 26, 2025Our host was excellent on communication! We had a great stay with an amazing view of the lake. The atmosphere was cozy! There was an added plus of fishing rods. The guys had a great time fishing off the dock. Outdoor sitting to watch the sunset near the water. This was by far one of our favorite places we’ve stayed .

Stayed Oct 5, 2024House was located right in the lake as described. Beautiful view of the lake and sunsets were wonderful when it wasn’t raining! Very quiet neighborhood. We loved the outdoor furniture that was lakeside with a fire pit. If we had a complaint- which is nothing to do with the house is there are very view places to eat in North Hero. But we were able to get recommendations from the neighbors! We would definitely stay again!

Stayed Aug 15, 2024We booked this home in North Hero for a familly gathering and we all were very impressed with all it had to offer. Being directly on the lake we had everything we were looking for. The large interior space is comfortable and well appointed. The outside area with a boat dock, campfire area, and screened in porch allowed us to enjoy the perfect August Vermont weather. The fishing is also very good right off the dock.

Stayed Aug 2, 2024The waterfront of this cottage is a dream come true. Quiet, peaceful, friendly neighborhood with a farm stand in walking distance. Kids fished and swam off the dock all weekend. High-end kitchen pleased the cooks!
