Stayed Aug 3, 2025Overall we had a good time. Right on Grand Traverse Bay with a shallow area good for younger children. The home was well stocked with excellent provisions from the kitchen right down to the great bath towels and beach towels as well. Also, kayaks are available to use and many life vests are available. The layout also works well for those with children or multiple guests with a large living space at the ground level that includes a queen bed and twin bed trundle. However, one must be aware that the home is right on M-22 so there is a bit of traffic noise to overcome.

Stayed Jul 13, 2025This is a terrific waterfront property on the Grand Traverse Bay. The two-level house layout flows well. It is conveniently located near many attractions - Traverse City, Fishtown, and Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes. There is car noise from M22, but it is not overwhelming.

Stayed Jul 19, 2025We loved our stay at this property. The house was great and is exactly like it’s pictured. Whoever decorated did a great job. Everyone was comfortable. The location is perfect and the peninsula has become a new Michigan favorite. Our only issues were with spiders and ants on the counter, but we know it’s a lakeside cabin. Also the road was a bit loud but most of the time it didn’t bother us.

Stayed Jun 27, 2025We had an absolutely amazing time at this house! It was far enough away from town where we could enjoy the water and not hear all the noise! We played games on the deck while enjoying the water. Just a wonderful, cute, perfect place to stay!

Stayed Jun 19, 2025Could not ask for anything better! The house was a great size for our girls trip (but would be perfect for a larger family or even two families since the downstairs was its own separate space), and the views were spectacular! We did not want for anything - fully stocked kitchen, toys and gear for the lake, comfortable beds/linens/pillows, wonderful outdoor living options, amazing location! I can’t say enough positives about this rental and will seek this property out again in the future!

Stayed Sep 7, 2024The house was clean, smelled fresh, all appliances worked, beds were comfortable. The house is located in a great area so we were able to go south into town and also north to explore a little. It was a perfect week and I would definitely stay at this property again! Some people may find the traffic from M22 too loud, but after a while, we didn't even notice it.

Stayed Aug 3, 2024This property is on the water. The dock is great for swimming and using the kayaks supplied by the owner. The house is really nice and the deck outside has a beautiful view of the lake. We had a wonderful week.

Stayed Jul 27, 2024This is our second year of staying at this waterfront home south of Suttons Bay. The owner provided kayaks and life jackets which were used multiple times each day. The house is very clean and inviting. My grandchildren enjoyed playing the games on the shelves. The kitchen has everything you need for a vacation stay,

Stayed Jul 20, 2024The Waterfront home had beautiful views, especially from the expansive upper-level deck and wonderful dock with easy-access stairs to the clear, clean and waist-high - shallow for over 300 feet - lake. We built fires every night in the fire bowl to enjoy the moonrises and bountiful stars. The early-morning sunrises were absolutely stunning. The house is well-equipped and does have a cottage-like feel. Situated on M22, you do contend with traffic noise, but with a location halfway between Traverse City and Suttons Bay, it is a great spot to see and do so much.

Stayed Jul 14, 2024We have stayed at Lee's wonderful lake home three years now. It has everything we want: dock for kayaking, two decks for relaxing, fire pit. There is no amenity needed that is not stocked. The beds are comfortable. Not only is the house clean, but it decorated so lovely. The location is perfect for day trips. We visit many small towns, wineries, restaurants, bike trails and dunes. Lee is a great host; although we find that we don't even need to reach out to her since every detail is covered. The first year we had questions about the area and she was always gracious and quick to respond. Before finding this place, we stayed at a couple that were lacking. This one is a gem! :)

Stayed Jun 29, 2024The waterfront home with cottage charm was a comfortable stay for the week. We enjoyed the lovely views of the water, the great deck overlooking it, and the open windows that let in a lot of sun and the view. The bathrooms were recently redone and are very nice. The home is right off of M22 and we were not prepared for how noisy the road is at night, and did detract from the peace and quiet of going up north. The basement is damp for anyone sleeping down there, and we had to get the propane tank filled for the grill and pick up more toilet paper and paper towel for our stay. Communication with the owner was very responsive, and there were a lot of board games and water toys that made our stay more fun with kids!

Stayed Jul 6, 2024The house was wonderful, right on Lake Michigan! It was as advertised and better! The kitchen had everything we needed, the house was stocked with all the essentials and the amount of water sport items was more than expected! Lee made it easy to communicate with and always replied promptly! If we need a place to stay again in N. Michigan, we will be looking here first!
