One of an exclusive row of only three houses lining the beach, it is accessed via a gate to a circular driveway with exquisitely landscaped established gardens and a cascading fountain forming its centre piece.

Beyond an elegant façade, the residence features a formal entrance foyer with a timber stairwell. Graced with high ceilings, leaded windows and specialty timber flooring, the generous living room offers a large flat-screen smart TV and Netflix. The eight-seater dining room flows to a tranquil entertainers’ courtyard with a Weber barbecue and another water feature, along with outdoor dining. Whip up a storm in the well-equipped kitchen including a dishwasher, coffee machine, induction cooktop and large ice maker fridge.

The home comprises four large bedrooms with built-ins and room-darkening shades to encourage a sleep-in. On the entry level, one bedroom offers a king bed with garden views, the second bedroom has a queen bed with water views, while the third bedroom has two single beds and overlooks the courtyard. The ground floor includes two high quality vintage-style bathrooms, one with a bath and another with double vanities, while the laundry has a separate washer and dryer.

Upstairs. the spectacular primary bedroom or parents’ retreat comes with a king bed, walk-in wardrobe and a luxe ensuite with a bath and shower. The room leads to a private living space equipped with an electric fireplace and opens to a covered balcony revealing mesmerising water views and spectacular sunrises.

Additional features include Wifi, ducted reverse-cycle air conditioning and off-street parking for up to two cars.

Located directly opposite the sandy shores of Long Beach with a waterfront park and playground only a few strides away, it is superbly situated with café and dining options including the highly-rated Sea Grass Café on the Derwent (keep an eye out for dolphins or the local seal) and Beach House Café plus local favourites Ming Court and Sandy Bay Wood Fired Pizza within a couple of minutes stroll of the doorstep. The Blac Fig gourmet grocer is a little further down Sandy Bay Road, and offers delicious fresh produce, coffee and pastries. There’s also an IGA supermarket, butchers and newsagency.

Just across the park, the Hobart Twilight Markets are a big attraction for locals and tourists every second Friday night from October to March.

Hobart’s CBD is only a short drive away where there are plenty of attractions such as the legendary Salamanca Market and eatery scene, cosmopolitan restaurants and wine bars, Constitution Dock and ferries to MONA.
