Beautiful scenery and calm

Overall this was a great place to stay. Great location, in a quiet neighborhood with a beautiful view and minutes away from beach access and local shops.

Host lied about location. They told me location to family we were visiting was 46 min and a direct car ride to and from. I had expressed concern with having to use a ferry during the holiday week. They assured me no ferry was needed, and a direct car ride of 46 min from their location to our family's house. Only after it was past the cancelation time period did they tell me we'd need a ferry and it would be a 2 hour ferry or 4 hour car ride.... just 1 way. Still fighting for a refund. Use EXTREME caution with this host

The view from this home is absolutely stunning — definitely the highlight of our stay. The setting is peaceful and relaxing, and we appreciated the board games provided for family time.That said, there were a few things worth noting. Some boards on the deck are starting to rot and could use repair for safety. One of the bedrooms is only accessible by walking through another bedroom and closet, which made it a bit awkward for privacy. The house has two mini splits on each end, but it got chilly at night unless we left all the bedroom doors open or used the provided space heaters.We were asked to run the dishwasher and a load of towels before checkout, but no dishwasher pods or laundry detergent were provided, so we ended up hand washing dishes with the dish soap on hand. The bathrooms are quite outdated, and the only TV in the house is in the kids’ room — not a big issue for us, but having one in a more central area would’ve been nice.Overall, we enjoyed the view and location, but a few updates and small conveniences would make the stay much more comfortable.

Great view, quiet (except for the occasional ship's foghorn during the night when it's foggy), well equipped, clean, comfy beds.

Over all we were pleased with our stay. We got off to a rocky start, as when we arrived and started to stock the kitchen, we found that the refrigerator smelled strongly of old fish. We spent over an hour taking it apart, finding the source of the odor and cleaning and sanitizing it. Should have been caught by the cleaning crew. Otherwise it was fine and the view of the Puget Sound is gorgeous.

Tha property was well equipped, the rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The view is spectacular. The carpet is severely stained and looked very dirty. The balcony has a spectacular view, however the glass rail is soiled, mildewed and full of cob webs. The bathtubs are very high off the floor and extremely narrow. Not recommended for seniors.

We haven't found any way to directly contact the owner so we didn't want to necessarily point this out on the review. But since we don't find a way to do that: a minor and seemingly inexpensive thing to do for cleanliness would be to replace the caulking around the master shower door and use some off-the-shelf dishwasher self-cleaning product. And the screen door closer device is only hanging on by one screw. Thanks!breplacebe to replace the the gro

Nice roomy home, amazing views can be enjoyed both inside on the comfy couches or outside on the Adirondack chairs. Great location on the island. Beds are very comfy.

My spouse, son & I enjoyed the peace and quiet of the neighborhood, and the house had everything we needed to fix simple meals and enjoy cozy evenings. I suggest that before coming to Whidbey Island that you review ferry schedules! You may be able to reserve passage, but must do so well in advance in summer, etc. Overall, a delightful experience for us all!

Beautiful setting. Quiet - except for birds chirping. Lots of M Ma and baby deer. House is comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed. Enjoyed just sitting on the deck taking in the views and relaxing.

Home away from home! This house was the perfect, quiet place to relax and recharge. Very clean and equipped with everything we needed. The layout was so comfy, the kitchen very well-stocked, and the breathtaking views and sunsets were incredibly beautiful! Seamless check-in, great location and deer, bunnies, eagles all around! We hope to be back to enjoy this outstanding home in the future.
