We had a wonderful two night stay at this beautiful, extremely clean cottage. We loved being able to walk 15 minutes into the adorable town of Highlands. We would definitely come back here, maybe with our two pups next time. It’s a great pet friendly property. Thank you for sharing it!

If you're looking for a comfortable and well-equipped stay in Highlands, this is it! The cottage was super clean!! We especially appreciated how well-stocked the kitchen was. They have games, puzzles, and books on hand so you can leave yours at home. Being within walking distance to restaurants and just a mile from the historic downtown was a major plus. An overall perfect spot to stay with your family and friends. Thanks to Jennifer for being a fantastic host!

House was perfect for a mountain getaway. It was even more beautiful in person than in the pictures online. Slept 6 people comfortably and an easy 10 minute walk to town. Would highly recommend.

We chose to spend Christmas in the Highlands this year and Jennifer/Barrett’s cabin was the perfect choice!!!! The cabin is so cute, spacious and in an amazing location. Plus…it is dog friendly and our Frenchie felt right at home, too! Jennifer provides ample instructions and communication so you know exactly where to go and what to expect. Cannot say enough good things about their cabin and their hosting! We’ll be back!!!

This mountain retreat was everything we hoped for and more! The home was spotless and well laid out, with plenty of room and bathrooms for our group. The location was ideal—peaceful and scenic but still convenient. The owner was friendly, responsive, and made everything easy. We’d definitely come back!

Being able to walk into town was a plus. The gated yard is great for small pets. All the living spaces are wonderful and the kitchen is stocked for whatever cooking and meals you want to enjoy.

The welcoming Bluebird Cottage has an open feel and is near the activity of Main Street, the Botanical Gardens, and hiking. The kitchen, yard and screen porch are well designed and maintained. The host communicates quickly if you have any needs. It is also quite a welcoming home for dog owners!

The cottage is close to downtown , very well equipped and comfortable for just my husband and myself but happy when we had daughter and her husband for a few nights Love the generator just in case, all sorts of board and card games for cozy rainy afternoons and a TV for everyone!! We booked thinking we would bring our dog but did not -sorry we didn’t -it was perfect for pups

Wonderful property nestled in the mountains. Well appointed house, beautiful layout, and lovely outdoor space with fire pit!Great screened porch as well for entertaining our entire family! Wonderful hosts to work with and our pups had a blast in fenced in area! Great mountain week!

This rental property is the best one we have ever stayed in! Everything was perfect! The setting was beautiful, the home was immaculate and everything you could possibly need was in their home. The location was also wonderful! 3-4 minutes to downtown! Great experience! We hope to go back again one of these days!

Very nice house.

We chose this beautiful home because of its location as well as the fact we could bring our family dog! Everything was clean, super comfortable and so charming- from the relaxing screened in porch to the great kitchen to the outdoor fire pit area. Our adult children loved staying here with my husband and me for a full week of hiking and shopping and dining in the gorgeous Highlands! We had the best time and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the adorable Blue Bird Cottage!

Family and I stayed here for a long weekend. The house is great for a family with kids. There are plenty of games, fire pit outside, and location makes for quick travel to most area attractions!

My wife, 12-year-old son, 9-year-old son, dog, and I had wonderful time staying 4 nights in this lovely and cozy home during the boys' spring break. This was an ideal location to explore the many natural wonders of the area and to easily access the charming town of Highlands. We ate dinner in the screened in porch and made s'mores in the fenced-in fire pit area. The hosts put a lot of thought into making it an easy experience for us. I strongly recommend this to families with or without dogs.

This lovely cottage over delivered in every way. Spacious, immaculately clean, exceptionally well appointed. We used both indoor fireplaces every night and had fun playing cards and the PacMan Maxine in the evenings. The kitchen had plenty of dishes and cookware to make meals.

Decorated beautifully. The home was stocked with everything we needed. We had our dog with us and were pleasantly surprised to find two dog bowls, a large barrel of dog treats, and a spare leash in the home. The enclosed area with the fire pit made for a nice sitting area. Screened in porch was lovely. Two gas fireplaces made it a very cozy place home. All lighting and remotes were labeled which made navigating the place very easy. Would definitely recommend this property and will stay here again.

We had such a peaceful stay at the blue bird cottage. The setting was incredibly tranquil, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The cottage was spacious and well-maintained, extremely clean especially for it to be a dog friendly rental. The fully stocked kitchen made cooking meals easy. The location was perfect - close to downtown Highlands, restaurants, local shops and all of the beautiful waterfalls and hiking in the area. Although the location is conveniently located, you feel so secluded at the cottage. The outdoor areas were beautiful— we did not take full advantage of the fire pit or large yard but we especially appreciated the comfortable outdoor seating area on the porch while enjoy watching golf. The best part of the stay had to be challenging each other to a game of PAC-MAN every night before bed. The only thing we regret is not bringing our pups with us— the house was extremely dog friendly from towels for the dogs, food bowls, to dog treats. We would highly recommend this cottage to anyone staying in the Highlands area.

First of all, the house was spotless. We've stayed in numerous rentals, and I think this house was the cleanest. It was also beautifully decorated. We had a our two labrador retrievers with us. They had a blast in the Highlands. NOTE: If you have large dogs, they will definitely be able to escape the yard so do not leave them unattended. The house is in a great location!

Lovely well maintained cottage. Beautifully quiet and serene. The perfect balance between gracious comfort and understated charm. Yes, a Marvelous Surprise! Welcome supplies anticipated and provided by the kind owner to help with our arrival. Our favorite things, the large screened porch and gated fire pit area for guests with dogs. Well appointed Kitchen provided the opportunity to take advantage of farm to table dining (great produce markets nearby). The worst part was having to leave!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house as it was convenient to downtown and a nice house and allowed us to bring our dog to also enjoy Highlands with the many other dog owners.
