Wahroonga On The Water

Perfect property for our stay. Our two families enjoyed the great views and spacious house. It is a short drive to town and has great access to all tourist sites around the island. Communication was excellent. We would highly recommend Wahroonga on the Water.

Fantastic views and position. six adults stayed and plenty of room for all of us. As it was the middle of winter the heating worked well and the whole house was very clean and presentable. A fantastic base for exploring Kangaroo Island. Very quiet and had everything we wanted and needed. One small problem the toaster was missing its its push down handle.

That house is not suitable for tourists. The house is in the jungle full of bugs, spiders, cockroaches, ants, mouse, and smelly. More over that house was too noisy. And the hot water system was not working. That house too noisy i can’t sleep during the night.

We had the most wonderful few days on Kangaroo Island. Wahroonga on the Water was our base. Waking to the most beautiful sunrises, and being so close to the beach was a highlight. The house has everything in it that you would need, with the exception of food. Lots of space for just 4 adults to enjoy. Thank you

Spa not in use but would not have used it anyway. The Kitchen utensils and draws were dirty, the Dishwasher was still full of previous occupants dishes and cupboards and drawers were cluttered and untidy. We cleaned and tidied the above on arrival. The outdoor setting was filthy we also had to clean before using. Overall the house needs a bit of TLC. I did contact the host and was told this was not part of the cleaners responsibilities.

Home was spacious and well located. Host was very responsive to correspondence. House requires a thorough spider inspection and associated clean, as per concerns reported to host during our stay.

Great Stay, No IssuesWe had a really comfortable stay at this house. The place was exactly as pictured, clean, well-maintained and easy to check into. Everything worked as it should and there were no problems at all during our stay.

It was great for our large family to stay together in a house that fitted us all. The house was spacious and allowed everyone to be comfortable. Being right near the beach and walking pathways just added to our stay.

Great water front location a nice walk (under 30 mins) into town and to/along the beach. Big house, well equipped. Great layout for a big group. We were all adukts butwould suit a mix too. BYO food staples though, limited supply of coffee, tea, milk etc.

6 days, 4 couples and a single. Super amounts of crockery, cutlery, space, everything. The spa isn't functioning (we didn't care, but someone else might).

Stayed with friends and the property had everything we needed for a short stay, only a walk into Kingscote and being located on the water it made for a relaxing stay. Highly recommend.

The house is very large and was great for our group of five adults. The jacuzzi tub in the master was not working but I'm not sure it was listed. The showers were a bit yucky (moldy?) on the edges. There was no detergent for the washer or dishwasher, or pods for the Nespresso (which was moldy and needed for us to give a deep clean before we could use it). I contacted the owner and supplies were brought the next day, which was great, although we had gone and bought some things we needed the first day ourselves. Being at the ocean was wonderful for evening strolls, star gazing and sunrises. It was great to have a large garage to pull into for shelter from the sun and unloading and loading. I would say the home needs a little more TLC than it is getting. With that said, we enjoyed the space and had a fabulous time on KI.

It was amazing place, just tv downstairs was required an online account which was no able to use it

Everything was absolutely wonderful at our accommodation. We only had one issue with the bottom tv not having free to air channels. Was hard for the oldies to get upstairs to watch the nightly news

Great space, enough room for the whole family. Good location and Dwayne was great to deal with.House needs some love; oven very dirty and sill was broken so hard to hold temperature. Spa bath also not in use, which we didnt know about until we arrived.Overall a nice place and we enjoyed our time.

Arrived at WOW, already with instructions on how to enter. All went smoothly. House was absolutely beautiful and the view spectacular. There was an area with games and books, and toys for kids. It looks to me that the house caters from babies through to aged. It really is a beautiful house with the best view.

Loved the place for location and ideal for our group of 6 adults. Well set up house for holiday booking. JUST SOME THOUGHTS FOR IMPROVEMENT. Clean the oven supply some new frypans. would rebook if coming to KI

The house is lovely, well set out, nicely furnished, big picture windows, spacious and with 3 bathrooms, which is what we needed. Good location, near Kingscote, and right on the beach. Information for the house was hidden in the pantry, hand written instructions taped to the wall. A compendium on the kitchen bench would have been more professional and easier to find. I was disappointed to find that I could not use the spa, as it had a note on it saying that it leaks. The bbq area is on the side of the house, which feels quite disjointed, I guess for shelter, with adequate outdoor furniture. More outdoor chairs were stored in the garage. Unfortunately the outdoor furniture setting in the main kitchen/dining/living area was appalling. The table was worn and rusted, the chairs worn, ripped, dirty, encrusted with bird droppings. Totally unusable. The lawn was not cut, and our uncut grass was a stark contrast to the neatly cut grass of the neighbours. There was a considerable amount of weeds around the house both back and front in the pavers. Directions and signage could be improved as we had difficulty finding a lot number instead of a house number.

This property was an excellent choice for our 3-generation family group of 7 adults plus 2 children. Everything we needed was there. The website could use a little updating, particularly in relation to getting there - the property signage is only visible if coming from Brownlow direction rather than from Kingscote. Communication was good, augmented by many hand-written notes inside. we all enjoyed our stay

Really nice quiet area, but close enough to shops and amenities etc.

Location is great, house is huge with separate lounge areas and loads of bedrooms. Great view and super quiet location. Outside area could be tidied up for more practical use on the beach side but overall it is a well appointed house for use all year round and right on the coast of Kingscote! Would definitely go back. Thank you.
