Villa Mariposa in Spain's Sunny Paradise

The villa is very nice andcomfortable, the terrace and the plants are beautiful. The view is spectacular .There are a few things that could be improved. The beds are very small for modern standards. And the sheets are still too small to fit. The duvet were of a proper size The mattress was soso. The instruction for the house was lacking some essential information and was not up to date. No info on shopping options, markets, supermarkets, restaurants, and emergency services. The carekeeper of the house, Pépé, is very friendly and helpful. Do bring a translation app if your Spanish is not fluent.

A wonderful experience overall! The bedrooms were cozy, and the living space was perfect for our group hangouts, We appreciated having multiple bathrooms too—definitely made mornings easier!

This villa is an undisputed gem. Nestled in breathtaking hills, it offers unparalleled views and peace. My family of four plus our dog stayed for a month and felt instantly at home. Every amenity you could wish for is at your fingertips. Location: It's remotely situated, which only adds to its allure. Lush gardens with mango and olive trees offer various spots to enjoy awe-inspiring sunsets. Daily needs are a mere 25-minute drive away, and in just 30 minutes, you can be in the vibrant town of Torre Del Mar with its fantastic beach and dining options. A quick 8-minute drive leads to Arenas, an idyllic Spanish town with a charming supermarket. We had no issues with insects. House: It boasts three luxurious bedrooms and equally grand bathrooms. The pool is its crown jewel, maintained diligently by Pepe, the owner. The well-equipped kitchen made cooking a breeze, especially with a handy outdoor BBQ and tap. The Wi-Fi is superb—zero disruptions even though I worked throughout our stay. The house is so well-designed that we rarely needed air conditioning. Gardens: A true oasis filled with amazing plants, cacti, herbs, and fruits. My kids loved watering them, witnessing their growth over our stay. It's clear that these gardens have been lovingly tended for years. Experience: Simply put, it's the Spanish retreat we've always dreamt of. We were heartbroken to leave but eager to return. This property is a treasure.

Very pleasant stay in a beautiful and authentic house in the rural hills near Arenas. Nice and big pool and a great terrace, where we experienced lots of sunsets with a glass of wine. Very friendly and helpful contact with the spanish couple who rent the Villa Mariposa. After a few days we get used to the steep track from the main road to the house.

Wij hebben erg genoten van het vakantiehuis in Arenas. Het huis is echt helemaal in orde en alles wat nodig is is aanwezig. Het was bij aankomst heel netjes en schoon. De afspraak met de eigenaar verliep goed waarna hij ons vervolgens naar het huis begeleidde. Dat is de eerste keer echt wel nodig. Het huis is zeker een aanrader!

Gewoon verbazingwekkend dat hier in de bergen zoiets bestaat alles is er gewoon van potten en pannen tot het kleinste detail werkelijk af wat je wel moet gewoon worden omdat je in de bergen zit is om op lage versnelling te rijden???❤️❤️

Ontvangst door de vriendelijke beheerder/eigenaar die je naar de villa brengt. Prachtige villa met heerlijk zwembad. Villa is zeer compleet ingericht. Alles wat je nodig zou kunnen hebben is voor handen en alles is brandschoon (binnen en buiten). Verschillende terrassen waardoor je altijd voor de zon of de schaduw kunt kiezen. Goede warmwatervoorziening. Veel privacy in een rustige omgeving. Kortom: Top! De onverharde weg er naar toe is prima te doen.

Het is een fantastisch mooi huis op een prachtige plek. Wel erg afgelegen, maar daardoor veel rust en privacy. De rit er naartoe leek aanvankelijk een uitdaging, maar viel eigenlijk best mee. Alle comfort is aanwezig, fijne keuken, net en praktisch sanitair. Super fijn zwembad en wij genoten van de verschillende plekjes waar je kunt zitten.
