Upscale townhouse near the pool with bikes, resort boardwalk & golf course

Randomly chose this property via VRBO with no prior knowledge. Kudos to the property management and home owners. Beautiful property and location with ease of access to beach, pool and golf course! Only suggestion I have is to check the water pressure on floor 2 (main floor). I would absolutely recommend staying here and will look for this place moving forward when staying in Port A again.

This property was disappointing and did not reflect the price point at all. While the photos suggested a comfortable and stylish stay, the reality was far from it. The carpets were filthy—stained, worn, and in desperate need of replacement. The furniture felt cheap and mismatched, and the space was cluttered with unnecessary decor that made it feel more chaotic than cozy. Nothing about it felt clean, curated, or remotely luxurious. For the rate being charged, we expected a much higher level of quality and care. Would not stay again or recommend in its current condition.

Everything was great! My entire family loved it. Planning our next summer vacation here again next year.

We had a wonderful time during our stay! The house and neighborhood amenities were great! Were a group of 7 (4 adults, 3 kids) and the size of the house was perfect. Each couple had their own bedroom and bathroom, while the kids had the run of the bunk room upstairs. Beach access was super easy and we thoroughly enjoyed both pools, especially the Oasis Pool. All staff that we interacted with from the groundskeepers to the wait staff to the guest services were kind, friendly, and helpful. Highly recommend Flip Flop Fanta and Palmilla for your next family beach vacation!

We stayed here with four young children and it worked well for us. We loved being close to the pool and the beach. Beds were super comfortable, and HVAC, wi-fi, plumbing and electrical were in great shape. Management company was easy to work with and professional. Checkin and checkout were seamless and easy. There is enough room to park three vehicles, but tight for minivans and larger SUVs; however, there was ample street parking available near the unit when we visited. More than adequate seating available for meals.

The property was great. The customer service was below a zero. Based soley on that, I would likely never stay on this property again. WHY??? 1. I was informed that checkout on Sunday morning was at 10AM. Wow, that's really early. When I inquired about a late check out, I was met with disgust! I tried three times and then finally I was allowed to check out at 11AM. After spending several thousand dollars on this unit for 2 nights, I don't think a request for 60 minutes of late check out should be met with indifference. 2. The freezer malfunctioned while we were there. I called three times the 24 hour emergency hotline. Each time I was asked to leave a recording, then the system switched to me leaving a recording I was informed that I could not because the mail box was full. 24 emergency hotline???? I don't think so. 3. And this is the worst. My father-in-law left this walker in the garage. We were halfway to San Antonio when we realized this. I called and was assured that the team would investigate and I would get a call back. I never got a call back. The walker might still be in the garage. When I pay 5-star prices for a property, I expect 5-star service, not the Keystone Cops.

The setup of this home is really great for 2 families and kids. The bunk room was perfect for the kids after Long Beach days. There is a pool across the street as well that was really nice.

Great stay at Palmilla. Enjoyed the beach and pool. Nice down time once the storm surges hit Port A beaches. We have been coming to here for 60 years. Never have we seen the water up to the dunes and boardwalks. Refugio roads were closed on our way home. Good trip as we will always welcome rain.

This place was an actual vacation for us. The staff and the amenities were great. Definitely coming back to this place.

We recently stayed at this beautiful home and had a fantastic experience. The home was immaculate and comfortable with bright and cheerful decor throughout the entire home. The amenities provided were top-notch, from the fully equipped kitchen, including spices, to the high speed Wi-Fi. The upstairs bunk room was amazing! We had 5 kids under 15 with us and they each had their own space. The layout of the house felt spacious and comfortable. The host was incredibly accomodating ensuring all our needs were met. The location was perfect, situated across the street from the pool and 10 minute walk to the beach. Overall, it was an excellent stay, and I highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a pleasant and hassle- free visit.

Things were mostly good. I was impressed by how clean the floors were. The unit had a remnant smell of cigarette smoke. Mostly on the first floor and on the balconies. I’m sensitive to odors, so I have chosen Palmilla resort before because the facilities/units are fairly new, so I feel a little more confident that this won’t happen. I’m disappointed to say that it did. We were on the beach and enjoying the pool most of the time so we still enjoyed our stay.

WE loved our stay at Flip Flop and the Pamilla Beach Resort. Very family-friendly and has great amenities.
