Unwind and Relax at Hidden Trails Retreat

The house was amazing nice,clean and had pretty much everything you need. We stayed at the house for a week and the way it was decorated you saw something new every day which was really neat my family and i loved that. We stayed the week before Christmas and the owners had all the Christmas decorations up with stockings full of goodies for my family and they even put stockings up for my pup which i thought was absolutely above and beyond speaking of they are dog friendly and only cost $50 extra for our pup for the week which i thought was a fair price. They do have a outdoor firepit and grill but if you plan on using them make sure you bring your own propane. The beds were just ok im 5'10 and was hanging off the beds in the front bedroom they were comfy other wise and i could fit on the sofa bed in the game room but that just wasn't comfy at all other than that this place is amazing i would highly recommend you stay here owners were grate and we look forward to staying here again

Great for the whole family. This is the best place we have ever stayed in Payson.

great location. dog friendly with fenced back yard and front porch. local dog park within easy walking distance. close to an Elks lodge. all shopping and restaurants are close by. I enjoy cooking, the lighting in the cook area is dim, needs a little lighting under the cabinets. we have booked the home for the month of August, and I have favorite pot and pans which I will bring. there is plenty cook ware there, but it is dated. again great place, great location, oh did i say we booked in the month of August, that should tell you how much we enjoyed Hidden Trails Retreat!

The most well equipped house I have yet to stay in! Very clean and organized. Very nice backyard to have a Happy Hour with a friend and play ball with your dog. It's a great location - very was close to parks, shopping and restuarants.Jon the host was very kind and responsive. Great stay for a family as there are lots of activities to do both at the house and in the surrounding neighborhood.Thank you!

Book this place with confidence! I couldn't have asked for a better place to meet the needs of our stay in payson. I highly recommend this place. Communication was rock solid, instructions were very clear and there wasn't any unnecessary to do list upon checkout. I have absolutely zero bad to say. If I find myself in the area again, this will be the first place I look to book.

The hosts have thought of everything you could need for your get-away! They strive to make you and your pet(s) enjoy your stay. Pets are an additional 50 fee (not refundable) which apparently “fell off” of the listing and came as a surprise. The hosts have said they’ve corrected with VRBO and let us check in a little early as a concession. Other than that, couldn’t have asked for more.

Hidden Trails Verbo was by far the nicest Verbo we’ve stayed at. A nice quiet neighborhood, relaxing home and backyard. It was clean and it was like being at home. The pictures on the website are exactly how the house is, which isn’t always the case. Jon our host always responded to our questions immediately. We also loved how pet friendly it is. The neighbors were nice as well. We highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a place in Payson! We loved everything about it.Dennis & Rhonda

Very clean home and tons of entertainment options. A park is a very easy walk from the house which was a nice option for some outdoor fun without having to drive. The beds were very comfortable. The den does not have a door so if you need three bedrooms that are private, this might not work for you.

Such an amazing place to stay! They truly prioritize their guests and communication with the host was amazing! Would absolutely stay here again!

The house was lovely! It had everything you could think of that you might need, especially in the kitchen, where they included a great coffee bar. The couch and beds were very comfortable. I really enjoyed sitting on the furniture on the front patio and listening to the wildlife. It's also a great place to bring kids. I had left mine at home, but I would love to visit again with my children. There were books, games, a PlayStation, and knick knacks that were child oriented to make it feel like a great family home! The home is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac where you can really sit and enjoy the neighborhood. The hosts were also wonderful about responding to our inquiries right away. I would definitely recommend this house as a great place to stay in Payson!

This is a true 10 out of 10 kind of vacation spot. Everything's provided and thoughtfully stocked, just bring your food, fire wood and family/friends. Enjoy lot's of games, patio furnature out back as well as on the front porch. All dishes, pots, pans, cooking utensils, sheets, blankets, pillows, toiletries, on & on... even codiments and citrus, drinking water... figurines placed throught for you to find. We couldn't find the hidden gumball machine, good luck to all. The house was very clean upon arrival and the neiborhood was very quiet during our stay. High recommendations and excellent communication with host !

Property very clean. A ton of entertainment options in the home. Everything provided for a care free stay. Host throughly communicative and made check in and check out process extremely easy. Great place to stay!

Amazing property. Comfortable stay all the way around. My only complaint is the knives in the kitchen were a bit dull, so if you plan on cooking most nights like we did it may be nice to get a decent knife. Other than that it was all great. Host was very communicative and laid out the town well in their guest book. Will for sure stay again.

The host provided very helpful information prior to our arrival and responded quickly when we had questions. The home was very clean and the mattresses were very comfortable! They had a terrific coffee/tea station with many options as well as a snack station. The only draw back was the fact that we did not have control of the thermostat and although the host responded quickly to our requests, it was less than ideal. I still would highly recommend staying here!

We had amazing experience here! We wanted to come to Payson for a short weekend trip to hike with our dogs and we were not disappointed. We felt very at home here, they go above and beyond with accommodations, and provide many different things that your pups might need! We will definitely be back

This house definitely feels like a home! Wonderful neighborhood with walking distance to a nice hiking trail, and every little detail was thought of to make the home entertaining and welcoming.

What an absolutely magical stay! From the moment we arrived, we felt the holiday spirit everywhere – the entire house was beautifully decorated for Christmas, with twinkling lights, two beautiful Chritmas trees, and the sweetest personal touch: stockings hung for grandkids visiting us for a day AND our puppy, each filled with treats and little surprises! There was candy everywhere (peppermint canes, chocolates, festive goodies) and our grandchildren were literally bouncing around like they’d walked into a real-life candy shop. It was pure joy watching their faces light up.The hosts were incredibly warm, child- and dog-friendly, and went out of their way to make everyone feel welcome. The home had every comfort we could possibly need (and more!), and whenever we had a question the hosts responded almost instantly and took care of everything. This place made our trip extra special and created memories we’ll treasure forever. We can’t thank you enough and can’t wait to come back! Highly, highly recommend.

The hosts were very welcoming with excellent communication, and most pleasant to deal with. The house was lovely, well stocked and clean. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful.

The fully fenced yard was the main feature we were looking for. There were lots of things to explore in the back yard for our dog. First time traveling with her and house /property worked out perfectly for us. A 9 x 13 baking pan would be a good addition to kitchen. Everything functioned and it was nice to have garage access for the car Jon was super responsive to our questions. Great new coded entry system. Thanks for having us!

10! Great cul-de-sac location, comfortable, so well stocked with everything you could want, dog-friendly, kid-friendly. Inside wonderfully decorated with something for everyone. Outside front porch my favorite spot, backyard multiple seating areas all were used for eating or quiet time. Host was great! Overall great rental! Will be back!

Amenities were awesome! The kitchen is full stocked.The fridge even had a Hot Sauce section. Shower was large and stocked as well. Backyard doggie friendly and very decorative. Neighborhood quiet with lots of birds. Neighbors were very friendly. Dog park was right down the road in walking distance. Easy access to all the stores, restaurants, etc from property.

The property was very inviting. Our stay was short but sweet. Very cozy and clean. We loved the unique touch of a snack basket. Internet worked wonderfully for us to work a little away from the office with a great connection. The rock painting was a very nice touch that I’m sure many families would have so much fun doing. There were many small touches that didn’t fit our needs, but were thoughtful and creative to add joy to many others stay! This rental would fit anyone’s Payson get away! Best part for us was the cool weather and the backyard lighting and ambiance.

Peaceful and charming. Can’t wait to visit again this winter. Owners are very communicative and transparent with no hidden fees or expectations. I was obliged to treat it as I would my own home.

We had a great stay in a great house. The host was great and was there for us if we had questions. We had elk in the front yard both mornings, and the extras were well thought out by the host.

Our dog loved spending time in the backyard and the neighborhood was residential with friendly neighbors and we felt very comfortable going out for walks. Close to shopping. Came up from the valley to get away from the heat. This home was so nice and comfortable. We really enjoyed our time here. No one was wanting to go home. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you for sharing your home.

While this was great for just 2 people this house would also be great for families and larger groups. Very well stocked with games, puzzles, books, hiking picnicking and cookout gear etc. Nice quiet residential neighborhood yet close to shops and restaurants.Great communication with the owners.

Quiet and comfortable.

We had an amazing time and couldnt have asked for better accomodations. Great location, quite neighhorhood, and close to everythjng Payson has to offer. As a bonus, the backyard was very enjoyable and our digs absolutely loved it. The fact that everything in the hone was useable was a huge plus too. Highly recommend, and we'll definitely be returning if were ever in the area again.

My husband and I enjoyed our 2 week visit - looking for a getaway from a very hot Tucson! The home is in a lovely residential section, close to shopping, the public library, beautiful Green Valley Lake with hiking trails and tours of an extremely well done Rim County Museum and Zane Grey cabin, and short drive to Tonto Natural Bridge State Park. The home is clean and well supplied for cooking your own meals. The owners are excellent at communicating prior to arriving, during the stay with information about local events, and upon leaving.

My husband and son in law work the rodeo every year so my daughter, grandson and myself came up too. I instantly loved the porch!! I spent most of my time with my grandson there. The house was very cozy, clean and had everything that we needed. Jon was quick to respond when we had questions. We appreciated the welcoming basket and the fudge! The beds were comfortable and all appliances/electronics that we used worked perfectly. I highly recommend this house and would stay there again.

We absolutely loved our stay here. Very beautiful house and yard. They have so much to offer for adults and kids. Fully stocked with more than you could ever need. We enjoyed just looking around at all the books and Knick knacks. The hosts were so generous and accommodating. Can’t wait to come back. Thank you Jon and Sharon.

My husband and I were in town visiting my mom who lives nearby. We needed a place where we could do some work and relax when we weren't visiting with family. This place fit the bill and more! Everything was lovely and the welcome basket a special treat! We will definitely stay again when in the area.

What an amazing stay! The owners literally thought of everything. The house is comfortable, sparkling clean, and so safe. The beds are so comfortable! Entertainment options are many in this fantastic get away. It really is a gem!

My family and I were looking for a pet friendly place with personality and privacy in a peaceful setting. We found this place and just fell in love the moment we walked in! The hosts left us a goodie basket on the counter and treats in the fridge as well. The home was immaculate, and the welcome book even had a scavenger hunt in it that our kids immediately took on while the adults settled in. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and there was plenty of space for us and the doggies to spread out, along with a ton of games to play together which we loved! We painted rocks and left them in the backyard with some of the others that have been done by other previous guests as well. We brought our doggies along (we had one service dog amongst the bunch) and they loved the backyard where they were able to run and play in the cool weather. The hosts went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had very little that we needed to purchase while we were there as far as condiments, spices, etc. It is about 5 minutes away from grocery stores, and there's a phenomenal little fudge store nearby too. We were actually bummed to have to head home, but are looking forward to staying again in the future! If I had to make any suggestions to the hosts, it's to possibly see if you can increase the water pressure in the master bath shower. We used it once but it was really low (I'm 5'7 and it was almost touching my head) and I struggled to wash my hair very well.

He had three Christmas trees and stockings hung by the fireplace with goodies. My family lives in Payson and strawberry and we live in Tucson. they would come over to Jon's place that we rented. It was a wonderful loving time.

Our group of 4 plus our dogs enjoyed this house very much. Very quiet and convenient location. The house was very clean and stuck with everything you might need.

We really enjoyed our stay and the Hidden Trails Retreat in Payson. It was a lovely home, very clean, well stocked, nicely decorated in a quiet neighborhood near town and the hiking trails that we love. The hosts were great, very informative, pleasant to deal with, and thoughtful making us feel welcome. We definitely recommend this vacation home and hope to stay there again in the future.

House is centrally located for exploring Payson, Pine and Strawberry. House is very comfortable, was decorated for Halloween, giving you a feeling that you’re staying at a family member homestead not a VRBO plus is stocked to the Hilt with supplies for cooking, making sundaes and goodies baskets for humans & doggies. The backyard is beautifully decorated, great place to relax and enjoy the fresh air. Hosts are exceptional and should be cloned!! They are wonderful individuals.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The house is clean and updated. The backyard is special, especially at night with all the lights on. There are many amenities at this property with all the comforts of home. The owner was very helpful and answered our questions and calls within minutes. I would stay here again if the opportunity arises.

We wanted a nice little getaway from the heat of Sun City, AZ & we were not disappointed. This was our first VRBO & we got spoiled. They had a little welcome basket & some waters & fudge in the fridge when we arrived. They had all the condiments & spices you could ever ask for & even supplied plenty of coffee as well. We loved sitting out on the front porch & loved the gate to enclose our dog as well. It was in such a peaceful location. We really enjoyed our time there. The Hosts just thought of everything.

We love Jon and Sharon's place. This was our fourth time staying at his beautiful home. This time we stayed for 3 weeks to get away from the heat in Tucson. Plus we have family that live up in the area and a brand new great-grandson. It was wonderful seeing all the family
