Charming Cottage with Great Views

George was an amazing host. He went above and beyond what we expected and the cottage was spectacular. We attended a wedding at Woods Canyon Lake and this was the perfect place for our home base and to relax. Beautiful mountain views and a quiet neighborhood which we loved.

No question, the Spanish Jewel truly is a gem! Its decor is creative and imaginative. The host, George, does everything possible to make your visit special and memorable. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need, the furnishings are comfortable and elegant - the only sad moment we experienced was having to leave.

We stayed here for our 22-year anniversary and absolutely loved it! The house was cozy, clean, and comfortable — the perfect place to relax and unwind. The host was excellent and communicated clearly from start to finish. He even left us thoughtful gifts for our anniversary, which made the stay extra special. We were also so grateful to be allowed a late checkout — such a kind gesture that made our weekend even more relaxing. We’ll definitely be coming back!

It is clear that this is a much loved home. Take a moment to just sit and look around. The artwork, antiques and decor are truly charming and the result of a lot of thought and hard work. The home is amazingly well equipped with everything you need to cook. We were very comfortable during our stay.

Everything was perfect, with great views from the back patio. This was one of our favorite VRBOs and location was convenient to all of Payson.

The Spanish Jewel couldn't be more perfect for a stay in Payson. The location is convenient to everything and the property was beautiful. Our host was very communicative and welcoming. George has thought of everything and we enjoyed a fully equipped kitchen, plenty of linens, and special touches that made it feel like home. If he put a price tag on the decor, I would have done my souvenir shopping there! So eclectic and perfectly inviting. A perfect place to reunite with old friends and make wonderful new memories!! I had the place for the entire month. It was perfect. Clean, cozy, and great views from the front and back porch. Never had any issues at all George was a wonderful host. Highly recommend.
