Stayed Sep 25, 2025The house was exactly as I was described. Lots of room for everyone to have space for their stay. It was a perfect rental as a place ro stay to attend my daughter’s wedding.

Stayed Jul 7, 2025This was our second time at the Audrey Leigh, and it was so wonderful to be back. With five beds and plenty of fresh linens, and two separate gathering spaces inside, we could all really spread out inside between trips to the beach. The beach is a short and charming walk away (past the best restaurant on the island), but the basin and sunset views from the house makes us glad we are away from the hustle of the beach itself. More though, the Audrey Leigh feels like a real home, loved by its longtime owners, authentic to Plum Island’s history, and not just another hotel room made five years ago for short term rentals. We will definitely return!

Stayed Jun 13, 2025This house was charming! With beautiful views, great amenities and comfy beds, we had a great stay. Each day sat on the deck and watched the tide come in and out, we watched the birds at the feeder, we took strolls to see the ocean and made wonderful dinners in the kitchen - it was just spectacular all around!

Stayed Sep 25, 2024The house location is good. Kitchen is very well equipped. House itself needs some updating and sprucing up. The odors upon entering the house were stale and objectionable. Airing out the place helped. Was overpriced given the conditions.

Stayed Aug 30, 2024We were looking for a place with 4 rooms that weren't super crowded and had enough places to park and we came across this listing. It's a bit Harry Potter like, in a sense that it has corridors and rooms that connect up and down from different directions and It's very cool. I love that the living room area has a high ceiling and is open to the 2nd floor so you don't feel crowded at all even if everyone is in the same living room. Before getting there, google map said it would be a 15 minute walk from the cottage to the beach; however, we found that there is a path from the backyard that takes about 5 minutes to get to the beach. Not recommended at night as the tide comes in and the ground is a bit wet but during the day, it's fine. It has a lot of big windows and doors that you can open so the air circulates well and isnt generally too hot even on a hot day but the rooms can get stuffy especially the two that don't have the AC installed. The cottage was well maintained and had all the amenities mentionned on the page, except the baby high chair that we couldn't locate but it wasnt the end of the world. The wifi provided was good, not spotty at all, and the water pressure from the shower was good as well. Overall, we had a really great time here and we were very happy to discover this new place. The beach is very nice too. It's not overcrowded with tourists like hampton beach so it was very relaxing. The sand is a bit gritty but nothing to fret about.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969My friends and I needed a place where we could reconnect and unwind, and the Audrey Leigh was the PERFECT place. Right on the edge of the Plum Island basin we had a private beach at every high tide, and could walk a charming foot path directly to the public beach whenever we chose. The house was fully furnished in every way; clearly an actual home and not just a rental property. Six of us slept very comfortably and enjoyed lots and lots of communal space both inside and on the deck looking out over the basin. We stayed two weeks and felt like real locals with a quick walk to Mad Martha's for breakfast and the Sunset Club for dinner, and an 8 minute drive to everything in downtown Newburyport. Ten out of ten. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!!!

Stayed Jun 23, 2024Spent a few days here with friends and really loved everything about this house. The view of the water is amazing, and the house stayed cool naturally with a nice breeze from the ocean (note some rooms are air conditioned and others not). It’s a close walk to shops and restaurants. Everything was clean and loved the whole vibe of the house. Would definitely return!

Stayed Apr 26, 2024My husband and I had a comfortable weekend at this rental, but the decor leaves much to be desired for the price. The kitchen was well appointed and clean, we found everything we needed. There was no complicated check out routine, which we appreciated, and were offered the opportunity to check in early since the cleaners were finished early, which was wonderful logistically. We did leave a game of ours there by accident a few weeks ago and have yet to hear that it’s been found, so make sure to round up your belongings before you leave.

Stayed Apr 24, 2024Exactly what I was expecting for a family getaway on Plum Island. Plenty of room, amazing views of the marsh, birds, and sunsets. The home has that beach cottage charm and everything you need for a relaxing time. We were able to walk to the beach and the Sunset Grill. Minutes to everything Plum Island and Newburyport has to offer.
